    Another awesome speech by PBO tailored to the folks of that community. How does he make the same always sound fresh and new. Incredible talent.

      So true. I can’t seem to get enough of him. They he handled the protester earlier was priceless.

    Hi everybody! My eyes and mind are so bleary I think I missed PBO’s Fayetteville speech so I’ll wait until the video surfaces somewhere. Thanks for the link, NW. (I clicked in late I guess and PBO seemed to be greeting folks like he does at the end of some speeches.)

      NC is not a “must win” – it probably is for the GOP nominee but Hillary has a multitude of paths to victory. The US media enables the stubby fingers at every turn. I hope this is the last hurrah for all of ’em and any of ’em

      • November 4, 2016 at 4:56 pm

        NC and Ohio are much watched and may be among the states called earliest. A win in NC would stave off any momentum Trump might get from the early red states.

          I understand meta – just don’t like the media making out Hillary has to win every battleground state.

          November 4, 2016 at 6:00 pm

          At this point, every state’s a must-win, to ward off any chance that maniac gets in (staving off his momentum after the early states, as you mentioned, first and foremost). Ugh.

          And I just received another call from “the Democrats” – never had as many as this year, from three states – I was already chatting to someone else and had to tell her quickly (1) Hey lady I’m on another call; (2) I’m a strong Democrat and always will be; (3) I already voted for Hillary; (4) thanks for your volunteer calling! She laughed and we wished each other a good evening.

    [Steve Bannon – Donald Trump’s campaign manager]

    // ……………………………………….

    When that is accomplished, the focus shifts back to right wing sites:

    ‘ Once that work has permeated the mainstream—once it’s found “a host body,” in David Brock’s phrase—then comes the “pivot.” Heroes and villains emerge and become grist for a juicy Breitbart News narrative. “With Clinton Cash, we never really broke a story,” says Bannon, “but you go [to Breitbart.com] and we’ve got 20 things, we’re linking to everybody else’s stuff, we’re aggregating, we’ll pull stuff from the Left. It’s a rolling phenomenon. Huge traffic. Everybody’s invested.” ‘

    That is the story of how Bannon works – he’s come right out and said so. One would hope that mainstream media outlets would take heed of this and recognize that they are getting played by someone who has also been pretty forthright about his ultimate agenda: to establish a nationalist movement in this country that is a dream come true for the alt right.

      There certainly hasn’t been a president in my lifetime previously whom so many voters would like to see have a third term. It is quite amazing when you think of all that he has faced, both externally and internally (Congress). I don’t know that it has happened since FDR although possibly Eisenhower.

      He is much nicer than I am. While I do not advocate jacking up the protestor and dragging him/her out, I would not let the person speak. Go to a DT rally if you have some issue or protest outside of the venue. The people gathered here did not come to hear some asshole.

        I sure don’t think the media has any inclination to investigate – regardless of who did it – and trusting the FBI to investigate for the Democratic party – more unlikely than the media finding reality.

    This election looks more and more like one held in a 3rd world country. The election of 2000 was the watershed moment in this devolution of the peaceful transfer of power in the modern era.

    The commander in chief could not immediately quiet the crowd amid the apparent clash between the liberal audience and the demonstrator backing the Republican presidential candidate. But as the hubbub subsided, Obama called on the Democrats to exercise civility when confronted with people who hold different political points of view.

    “You’ve got an older gentleman who is supporting his candidate. He’s not doing nothing. You don’t have to worry about him. This is what I mean about folks not being focused,” Obama said.
    .
    .
    “First of all, we live in a country that respects free speech. Second of all, it looks like maybe he might’ve served in our military and we got to respect that. Third of all, he was elderly and we got to respect our elders. And fourth of all, don’t boo, vote.”

      Another victory, thank God, but this is a battle that should not have taken place. John Roberts and the other justices who gutted the VRA provisions that would have prevented much of this disenfranchisement, should be held accountable in some way.

    OMG! Those of you that are friends on FB, saw my “News you can use” post about the economy. I just discovered a comment with the following link: http://yournewswire.com/nypd-hillary-clinton-child-sex-scandal/. Yes, it’s what it says. The NYPD has uncovered in the emails on Weiner’s computer ‘proof” of a ‘political pedophile ring’ , money laundering, sex crimes with minors, perjury, pay to play with the Clinton Foundation, etc., etc. I made myself read the entire thing. Hope y’all will do the same. I just don’t have any words to describe what I feel. Expressing myself in writing is not a strong suit, sadly. It talks about all these trips Hillary and Bill took with Jeffery Epstein on his jet. Says the emails iplicate current and former members of Congress including a high-ranking Democratic senator……….It goes on and on. Please read. Note it says this scandal is “about to break.” I noticed the date was two days ago.

    Would love some responses from some of you. Will this EVER end? #$^*_#@$!*%#@*

      If it is dated 2 days ago – it would be everywhere by now if the media thought it would fly. I can’t read it – I’ve only just started reading blogs again after the previous set of b.s. that the media/FBI unleashed on the world

      GE TMG.

      I’d be careful what I’d share on Facebook (not a member, never will be — far too manipulative and intrusive for my tastes).

      Reliable sources (CNN) and many tweeters have recently sent information that the top Facebook news feeds are from fake sites, which make money hand-over-fist (from Macedonia!) on generating fake news.

      Did a quick Google search on “your news wire” and came across an article that referenced Snopes and also that they published this: “Before this, YourNewsSite also published a video of the late Stanley Kubrick admitting that he helped NASA fake the U.S. moon landings.”

      This election has me on edge because of the divide it has created in this country, between the sane and insane, the ignorant and the informed, the decent and the depraved, the white nationalists and everyone else, so I ignore or set aside to process anything that doesn’t sound right to me.

      November 4, 2016 at 7:25 pm

      my advise to you and all of us: ignore anything that does not have to do with actual Dem voting and getting out the vote events.

      for the sake of maintaining your sanity and/or not causing yourself undue emotional and physical health, ignore all other garbage …. mind games is one way to suppress the vote;

      if you can make calls for HRC or volunteer for dem candidates locally then put your efforts towards that … even though you live in red state.

      otherwise, I know you love volunteering for social justice, then please find something to occupy you. it is just a few more days and we will be celebrating victory for HRC
