    Peeps are comparing Comey to Robert Hanssen https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Hanssen pay attention to the years.

      GE idon.

      I skimmed the Robert Hanssen bio on Wikipedia, but don’t understand how Comey could be linked to Hanssen.

      Wikipedia says that Hanssen approached Russia and offered to be a mole for them in exchange for cash, from 1979-2001, when he was arrested and pled guilty the same year. Wikipedia says that Hanssen served the FBI in Gary Indiana, NYC, then transferred to Washington DC in 1981.

      Until his appointment to FBI Director in 2013, it appears that Comey worked only for DOJ as a federal government employee. Don’t see how Hanssen’s activities would have anything to do with Comey who worked for the US Attorney’s Southern District of New York (1987-1993 and again 2002-2003) and the Eastern District of Virginia (1996-2001).

      Comey is more closely tied to the Clintons — in 1996 he was deputy special counsel on the Senate Whitewater Committee, and 2002 involved in the investigation of WJC’s pardon of Marc Rich.

      What connections are you hearing?

    Wow! Just announced on @Lawrence 3.6 million already voted in FL. Early and likely voters Clinton +8 48-40. Methodology- sample taken from actual voters who have already voted. Is up +53 % on early voters, getting 28% of GOP voters who have already voted.

    • November 2, 2016 at 2:01 am

      The fantastic thing about this is that about 40% of expected voters have voted, and they have contacted and sampled each voter who has voted who is included in the sample according to their voter profile, and run an exit poll on them. The remainder are those yet to vote and are LVS . The big percentages are with those who have already voted.

    i could be wrong about this;

    but I think that the way the majority kids react when they recognize PBO tells me a lot about how the parents in the home treat or talk about him when his image appears in the media reports;

    of course this excludes those kids who are not old enough, may be tired, or having a bad day when they meet PBO;

Because it will be so if Orange Arse gets in. We’re going to hear all kinds of nonsense from the Orange Arse Media, especially in the next few days. Ignore their known & proven mendacity. If someone lies to you again & again, do you continue to give value to their words? Heck no! Boo & VOTE! xoxo

    The latest robo call that we are getting in Florida is a man with an A-A accent parroting the carnival barker “what have the democrats done for you?” How democrats have failed A-A’s, but nothing specific about what the repubs. and their repugnant candidate would do. How stupid do they think B.lack people are? Collaborators like this person will find himself suffering the fate of all such: left with nothing when they are no longer useful and no way to “come back home” to the community. If this were a normal year, and the repub. candidate a moderate or at least someone who made some effort to be respectful etc. I would have no problem with anyone being a supporter. We need people in all camps. But for this person and the handful of others who stand on stages behind this awful racist shining and grinning, is a disgrace and a sin. The Black people that I have met who are repubs. are all people who have been groomed and flattered by the RNC. They like being one of the few and have been led to believe that they are special, more intelligent than other Black people and all other kind of nonsense. Time and again people like them follow the fates of J. C. Watts, Condoleeza Rice, Michael Steele, and yes, Colin Powell.
    I told my family about Omorosa’s (I had to explain who she is) comment that when the Orange one winds all of his detractors will have to bow down to him and they almost lost it. If she and the other A-A’s showed up in the audience of one of his rallies (notice that he usually has them on the stage behind him) they would be cursed out, spat on, and beaten and worse by the deplorables with whom they have allied themselves.

    I must admit I am having a blast watching PBO campaign this time around. He is so gleeful in these speeches! I suspect there is much less pressure on him when he is not the candidate and he seems to be enjoying every minute. He certainly has the crowds with him. Initially I wondered if it was going to be awkward watching him do his thing for Hillary but it is not at all. He is exactly what she needs. Funny how there is so little talk of Bill these days. Even with Clinton as President, I suspect PBO is going to be the face of the Dem party for many years to come. Of course, that is fine with me!

      They are doing well to keep him away from major cities in the swing states. I do not think that he has even made an appearance in the toss-up states. He had an engagement in Immokalee, Fl. population 24,154 according to the 2010 census. He would cost her more votes than he would bring in. Most of my problems with HRC in the past were more about Bill than her (for the longest it was hard to see her as an individual). This is supposed to be about her and what she, herself will bring to the presidency. Most people today are not interested in seeing them in any type of co-presidency. In 2008 she flat out said that she could not control Bill. Apparently this time around someone has had a come-to-Jesus moment with him and so far he has behaved as the spouse, not the candidate.

        Totally agree. I was never a Bill fan, just too much lack of self discipline for my tastes. And a big part of this mess with the FBI is due to his getting on Lynch’s plane. He has put her in a position where she feels she cannot crack down on Comey because she is compromised. At the same time, she did not handle this well. Rather than let Comey take the lead, she simply should have recused herself and let her deputy AG handle it. Lots of mistakes all around.

          GM FoxfireTX.

          Have seen a LOT of finger-pointing at WJC — that HRC wouldn’t be embroiled in MSM/Trump-driven e-mail controversy, as if WJC is responsible for Comey’s actions.

          Examples (not posting to bash Jake Tapper — this is just the first of a series of tweets, which ended with @joshtpm’s plea for his followers to stop flaming Jake).

          Regardless of how you feel about Jake Tapper and Ryan Lizza, they represent moderate/middle-of-the-road MSM.

          I can’t tell you how infuriated I am about both WJC and Comey’s actions — both should have known better, and have given MSM the go-ahead to pursue non-stop HRC bashing while allowing WJC to wear the mask of a “reasonable” person for just a few days until Nov 8.

          Have also seen countless tweets to this effect:

          All DJT has to do is appear #NotInsane for a few days to convince uninformed Americans to vote for him.

          This election has been a nightmare and WJC and Comey have made it so much worse. 😦

    This is our big GOTV in Montana. We have two really big races here. Our Governor and the race for single congressperson. Currently he is Ryan Zinke a retired Seal. He is so egocentric after he had only congress for 6 months he was going to run for speaker of the house and then he wanted to be Trumps VP. Also he lives mostly in California, but because he has an R after his name he won. Our Dem is Denise Juneau. She has been our Superintendent of Education for 8 years. She is fantastic, I have met her many times, she is also an Indian, born here in Montana on a reservation and got one of her degrees from Harvard. And she is openly gay. She was interviewed by Lester Holt and will appear on NBC news Sunday night. Hope you can watch it. Now we all will be working hard these last few days.

    Arapahoe, you had asked about the FBI’s release of docs on the Clinton foundation. The timing is weird overall given the file was closed in 2005. Second, apparently the twitter account the notice went on hasn’t been active for more than a year. Not sure what is going on but the whole FBI seems to be out of control at the moment. Not sure how any of this is going to get fixed.

    • November 2, 2016 at 9:01 am

      I’ve noted, even before he used teleprompters, that during rallies, he would sometimes pull out a sheet of paper, attempt to read it, and give up.

      Maybe that’s why he was so belligerent when Mr. Khan asked him if he had ever even *read* the Constitution.

      What are @BlakeHounshell and NYT referring to when they say FBI investigation this summer was driven by “Clinton Cash?” Is this a reference to DJT’s pay-to-play allegations against Clinton Foundation and HRC as Secretary of State?

        The Breitbart Team Turned An Anti-Clinton Smear Book Into A Terrible Documentary

        The upcoming anti-Clinton documentary Clinton Cash largely rehashes the shoddily-researched conspiracies from the 2015 book on which it’s based.

        Media Matters attended a screening of the film Thursday in New York City ahead of its release. Clinton Cash author Peter Schweizer and Breitbart News executive chairman Steve Bannon – who co-wrote and co-produced the film — were on hand to promote it to an audience that included Fox News personalities Bill Hemmer and Brian Kilmeade.

        When the book — which largely pushes the evidence-free claim that while serving as secretary of state, Clinton did favors for foreign entities that donated to the Clinton Foundation — was published last year, Schweizer, a Republican activist with a history of factual problems, was criticized by Media Matters and other outlets for a series of sloppy errors. Some of the errors were later corrected in the Kindle version of the book.

        Clinton Cash also heavily relied on innuendo in the absence of solid proof for its central allegation that the Clintons have traded favors for money. As Slate writer Jamelle Bouie put it, “Peter Schweizer’s attack on the Clintons leads with his conclusions and never connects the dots.”

    Neo-Nazi leader Andrew Anglin plans to muster thousands of poll-watchers across all 50 states. His partners at the alt-right website “the Right Stuff” are touting plans to set up hidden cameras at polling places in Philadelphia and hand out liquor and marijuana in the city’s “ghetto” on Election Day to induce residents to stay home. The National Socialist Movement, various factions of the Ku Klux Klan and the white nationalist American Freedom Party all are deploying members to watch polls, either “informally” or, they say, through the Trump campaign.

    The Oath Keepers, a group of former law enforcement and military members that often shows up in public heavily armed, is advising members to go undercover and conduct “intelligence-gathering” at polling places, and Donald Trump ally Roger Stone is organizing his own exit polling, aiming to monitor thousands of precincts across the country.
