Reports that benchmark health insurance premiums will increase by an average of 25 percent from 2016 to 2017 for plans purchased on Healthcare.gov marketplace exchanges have prompted right-wing media outlets to claim the price hike is proof of “the collapse” of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and evidence of a so-called Obamacare “death spiral.” In reality, the majority of individual insurance customers will be insulated from cost increases due to proportional increases in the health care subsidies, and these premium increases are still in line with anticipated health care costs initially predicted by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).
It’s been so obvious since the ACA became law that the MSM are on the side of the #DoNothingCongress and would prefer to see uninsured people suffer/die.
Reminder: Less than 4% of Americans get their insurance through an Obamacare exchange.

Morning all. As more people take advantage of early voting in states across the country, the ‘no early voting’ rules in states like Pennsylvania seem more and more antiquated. Wish there was a way to mandate a uniform system of voting across the country, but that would require members of Congress as well as all state governors sharing the common goal of making voting more convenient and accessible to all. That’s about as likely as seeing a unicorn on your way to work today.
There are so many remarkable things about succulents that make them appealing to patio gardeners like myself — they’re amazingly resilient, are the chameleons of the plant world (am constantly surprised and delighted by how quickly their leaves change with sun and/or cool/cold weather) and reproduce by producing (darling clones of themselves). Polls tighten as the actual polling day nears. Many ‘undecideds’ make up their dumb minds only towards the end. Remember Obama won FL by less than a point in 2012 and every one was freaking out that he was gonna lose FL.
That is a bogus outlier poll. Even multiple other polls out today on Fl. have Clinton up by 3-4 pts. The sample on that poll was not weighted by voter demographics.

when you live in the ultimate Swing State, you get used to the daily swings in polls and media speculation hyping the polls in the favor of one candidate versus another;
in order to cope with these predictions, find that this always works for me (as long as we are still in campaign mode):
– if a poll is released that shows my candidate is behind compared to what I want that candidate to be;
– then I do not challenge its validity;
– rather, I take the poll literally and use it as a motivator to work even harder to try and mobilize voters to make up the difference;
– until the very last minute, I know that the poll that really counts is how many actual votes are being cast for my candidate … and for this, I try to follow the guidelines from within the internal campaign.
so if you feel alarmed by any poll, remember that we supporters can play a big role in getting to our desired outcome by:
– donating money,
– phone banking,
– knocking on doors,
– contacting people in our own networks, and
– providing material and moral support to the volunteers and staff in our local offices.

I just experienced the most amazing afternoon at the National Museum Of African American History and Culture. We only got to see one floor, L4 cultural galleries, and we are planning to return. Everyone should plan to go! It was the first time ever that I related to everything in the museum. I am so humble at our greatness presented to the world when They told us so many times that we don’t have culture or simply we are insignificant to history that we were slaves then reappear during the 60’s. This museum is a national treasure!

FINALLY received my absentee ballot today. Thought it had gotten caught up somewhere, and was starting to panic. Will have it back in the mail tomorrow!

some years ago when my children were small…an African Arts exhibition came to the Philadelphia Museum of Art…there was sculpture…art…and artifacts…there was even a griot presentation along with the recreation of an actural Afrcian Market place …it was simply fantastic…but what wa most earth shattering for me was the scuptur pieces tht looked like me…my face structire…my noes ..my lips…this validated my presecen on the planet…gave a sense of belonging…it has a profpuns effect on me..
yesterday…i along with my daughter and with members from my daughter’s mosque..went to the African American Museum of History and Culture….
What a Phenomenal Place…i see me here…i feel me here….this is my “home”
let me share my daughter’s thoughts:
I just experienced the most amazing afternoon at the National Museum Of African American History and Culture. We only got to see one floor, L4 cultural galleries, and we are planning to return. Everyone should plan to go! It was the first time ever that I related to everything in the museum. I am so humble at our greatness presented to the world when They told us so many times that we don’t have culture or simply we are insignificant to history that we were slaves then reappear during the 60’s. This museum is a national treasure!
