I would believe that *this* is the reason that Ivanka might be irked with her father more than what he said on the video. She seems to be okay when he is disrespectful when talking about her. Do you think she would care about how he talks about other women and how he treats them?

      • October 21, 2016 at 6:07 pm

Doubt that she cares. Earlier this month, while shopping at Stein Mart, found a beautiful blouse on the 75% off Red Dot rack — would have been less that $5.00. Dropped it on the dressing room floor when I saw Ivanka’s tag…

That seems to be a common occurrence these days. The Trump brand is hurting.

I plan to write all the stores and tell them I will not spend money at a store that promotes the “Trump” Brand. I don’t care if it was a distant cousin, anyone one who supports the bigoted, racist, misoygenist brand name is not some place that will get my money.

Was able to watch today’s WHPB, Josh was really on his game today!

At the end of the briefing, Josh said PBO will be in San Diego (!) on Sunday (think he means PBO will fly to west coast and then appear in San Diego on Monday, but not sure), LA on Monday and Tuesday, back to DC for Wednesday and Thursday meetings, then to Orlando FL (for more Rubio bashing no doubt, LOL) on Friday.

Am in a state of shock that PBO will be in San Diego, one of the most fiercely conservative cities on the west coast (it’s changed since I grew up there, but its foundation was built on US Navy and Marines, plus tourism). Think @ApplegateCA49 will no doubt be at that event, and look forward to seeing Darrell Issa getting PBO’s Marco Rubio treatment ).

Shameless GOP have done nothing but obstruct, and haven’t taken their jobs seriously. From now until election day, it’s payback time, baby, from #TwoTermsBaby POTUS.

P.S. MSM are so shallow, they are completely taken aback by HRC’s army of wildly POPULAR surrogates, they won’t know what hit them — will they meekly carry Trump’s water, or will they *accurately* report on what is truly happening this election season?

Hi arapaho – I watched most of Josh today – he was sure on his game – but I didn’t see the end. One of the toddlers seemed upset that PBO was attacking Rubio – Josh took the opportunity to talk about republicans who put self and party ahead of their convictions and their country. Spoke of Rubio’s immigration reform that he gave up on because RWNJs. After 8 years it is so nice to hear republicans being called out for their obstructive behavior and refusal to do their job.

Trump finally could not help himself any longer….he went after FLOTUS today. Big mistake.

“We have a president, all he wants to do is campaign. His wife, all she wants to do is campaign. And I see how much his wife likes Hillary,” Trump said. “But wasn’t she the one that originally started the statement, if you can’t take care of your home — right? — you can’t take care of the White House or the country.”

“Where is that? I don’t hear that. I don’t hear that. She’s the one that started that. I said, ‘We can’t say that, it’s too vicious.’ Can you believe it? I said that,” he continued. “They said, well Michele Obama said it. I said she did? Now she said that, but we don’t hear about that.”

This made me laugh. Perfect but I doubt FLOTUS will think of this expression. When I moved to TX and started hearing it, I had to look up exactly how it was to be used:-) But even after 17 years here, I never think to use it.

He totally lives in an alternate universe. Time to pull him back into reality; saying you won does it make it so, it only shows that you are delusional. The way he looked at Hillary last night tells it all. He could not bring her down, the crowd was mostly with her and all he could do was fume. He looked like he was one step away from hitting her (the last resort of men who bully women).

    Good Afternoon…fom me to you.

    AND THEN IT IS WINTER

You know … time has a way of moving quickly and catching you unaware of the passing years. It seems just yesterday that I was young, just married and embarking on my new life with my mate. Yet in a way, it seems like eons ago, and I wonder where all the years went. I know that I lived them all. I have glimpses of how it was back then and of all my hopes and dreams.

But, here it is… the back nine of my life and it catches me by surprise … How did I get here so fast? Where did the years go and where did my youth go?

I remember well seeing older people through the years and thinking that those older people were years away from me and that I was only on the first hole and the back nine was so far off that I could not fathom it or imagine fully what it would be like.

But, here it is … my friends are retired and getting grey … they move slower and I see an older person now. Some are in better and some worse shape than me … but I see the great change … Not like the ones that I remember who were young and vibrant … but, like me, their age is beginning to show and we are now those older folks that we used to see and never thought we’d become

Each day now, I find that just getting a shower is a real target for the day! And taking a nap is not a treat anymore … it’s mandatory! Cause if I don’t on my own free will … I just fall asleep where I sit!

And so … now I enter into this new season of my life unprepared for all the aches and pains and the loss of strength and ability to go and do things that I wish I had done but never did!! But at least I know, that though I’m on the back nine, and I’m not sure how long it will last … this I know, that when it’s over on this earth … it’s over. A new adventure will begin! Yes, I have regrets. There are things I wish I hadn’t done … things I should have done, but, indeed, there are many things I’m happy to have done. It’s all in a lifetime.

So, if you’re not on the back nine yet … let me remind you, that it will be here faster than you think. So, whatever you would like to accomplish in your life please do it quickly! Don’t put things off too long!! Life goes by quickly. So, do what you can today, as you can never be sure whether you’re on the back nine or not!

You have no promise that you will see all the seasons of your life … so, live for today and say all the things that you want your loved ones to remember … and hope that they appreciate and love you for all the things that you have done for them in all the years past!!

“Life” is a gift to you. The way you live your life is your gift to those who come after. Make it a fantastic

one. LIVE IT WELL! ENJOY TODAY! DO SOMETHING FUN! BE HAPPY! HAVE A GREAT DAY! Remember, “It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver.”

    LASTLY, CONSIDER THIS:

~ Your kids are becoming you … but your grandchildren are perfect!

~ Going out is good … Coming home is better!

~ You forget names… But it’s OK because some people forgot they even knew you!!!

~ You realize you’re never going to be really good at anything like golf.

~ The things you used to care to do, you aren’t as interested in anymore, but you really don’t care that you aren’t as interested.

~ You sleep better on a lounge chair with the TV ‘ON’ than in bed. It’s called “pre-sleep.”

~ You miss the days when everything worked with just an “ON” and “OFF” switch.

    ~ You tend to use more 4 letter words … “what?”…”when?”… ???

~ You notice everything they sell in stores is “sleeveless”?!!!

~ What used to be freckles are now liver spots.

    ~ Everybody whispers.

~ You have 3 sizes of clothes in your closet…. 2 of which you will never wear.
~ But Old is good in some things: Old Songs, Old movies, and best of all, OLD FRIENDS!!

Stay well, “OLD FRIEND!” Send this on to other “Old Friends!” and let them laugh in AGREEMENT!!! It’s Not What You Gather, But What You Scatter That Tells What Kind Of Life You Have Lived.

TODAY IS THE OLDEST YOU’VE EVER BEEN, YET THE YOUNGEST YOU’LL EVER BE, SO ENJOY THIS DAY WHILE IT LASTS ,,,

I have a long list, 57, although Trump is at the top. But I was so thrilled to see the testimony about Christie today. I will never forget the way he mocked PBO when he was campaigning for Romney in 2012. It was NASTY! And I feel the same way about him that I do Trump, they aren’t fit to shine PBO’s shoes, so to speak. Nothing I’d like better than to see the two of them wrapped up in court for years to come.

They go low 57, and Trump has hit rock bottom attacking FLOTUS.

It is pleasing to note, however, that he has no surrogates out there running campaign events – not even his family who attend so few of his events. It upsets him that his opponent has the best campaigners in the land supporting her. Hillary is blessed to have so many positive folks out there on the trail – including her primary opponent. The jerk is going to be blamed for a massive GOP defeat, he’s going to lose his empire & any friends he had before he decided to use the US political system as revenge for being called out on his stupid.

A tied race in Fl. Senate:

    • 79 arapaho415
      October 21, 2016 at 5:34 pm

      GA BillR.

Mentioned this upthread, but got no response, but now that Twitter is back for me ( 🙂 ):

PBO will be campaigning for HRC in 3 cities next week (fundraisers for downballot Dems in most cities he’s visiting):

Sunday – San Diego (see upthread for my comment about this)
Monday – Los Angeles, taping Jimmy Kimmel
      Tuesday – Las Vegas
      Friday – Orlando

IMHO, there are 3 downballot seats that PBO really, really wants Dems to win.

      1) Marco Rubio’s Senate seat

Based on PBO’s consistent strength of character, I think PBO views Rubio as even worse than DJT, birtherism, racism, white supremacy, etc., because every. thing. Rubio does is politically motivated to advance himself — at least deplorable DJT has honest (abhorrent) convictions. At today’s WHPB, Josh Earnest made this point when asked about PBO’s statements about Rubio in Florida — Josh cited Rubio’s flip flop on comprehensive immigration reform, that Rubio is loyal only to Republican donors who can further his (Presidential) ambitions.

      2) Darrell Issa CA CD49 seat

      Every Dem hates Issa’s witchhunts.

      3) Harry Reid’s Senate seat

To express gratitude to loyal friend and supporter.

      • October 21, 2016 at 9:41 pm

Good points. About Rubio… I think President Obama also has eyes on 2020. He understands that Rubio is an empty suit but that he may fool a lot of people, including the media, into believing he is presidential material. In other words, President Obama is already thinking about protecting Hillary’s second term.

That includes Repub senate and congress and the repub partisans on the supreme court. The severe obstruction of PBO over the past seven years is now coming home to roost, in the form of incompetent Drumpf. If HRC eeks out a modest gain in the house, the dems will be able to do alot of programs in the first two years, and have a fighting chance of holding on in 2018.

It’s a stress free process, with all the voter guide materials you need. We discussed some of the state ballot measures, pros and cons and consulted some of the arguments and endorsements in the voter pamphlet. Any day you can vote for Hillary and the Obama legacy against Trump is a good day. Also pleased I can vote for Gov. Kate Brown who is doing a marvelous job in our state. Senator Ron Wyden is up for re-election but it’s a no-contest for him. Keep the faith, everyone!

From mention above I read up on the bridgegate trial. No wonder Christie is supporting stubby fingers – they are two peas in a pod – absolute bullies and willing to push anyone under the bus to save self. Whether he is prosecuted or not – irrelevant. His political career is dead, he has few friends, no job & no-where near the funds of most ex politicians. He can go eke out a living as a small time prosecutor, hitting on people who should use his prior behavior as their defense.

I sit here and recall the movie The God Father and how Michael Corelone gets revenge on the folks who tried to kill his dad. On PBO’s last day in office all those that disrespected him will be going down in flames as he and Michelle walks out the front door. Since they are hanging around D.C. I wonder if they will party with the Clintons and attend a few inaugurals balls.

I think they might miss the balls to give Hillary the frontline she has earned. If Michelle was around she would steal the show 🙂

Karma is winning in DC – a delight to see.

Well, work has kept me mostly quiet this past week, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been PeAking in on the village before falling asleep. Here’s a pretty nature pic to celebrate the end of another ‘work’ week for me (plus its beauty may help herald the rapidly approaching time when DT will hopefully fade away from the limelight). 🙂 🙂
