I read that he wrote this atrocious material himself, which at least exonerates others in his group for the disaster. HRC knew what kind of event she was attending and handled it with good sense and humor. That there are still tens of millions of people around the country, including the majority in my county, who find this buffoon’s behavior acceptable will be forever beyond my understanding.
It’s now up to GOP leaders (the ones who want a future in politics) to fully repudiate this man. These Insane Excuses From Trump’s Toadies Are Too Much.
A former Republican National Committee chairman said Friday he will vote for neither Donald Trump nor Hillary Clinton.
Michael Steele, who also served as Maryland’s lieutenant governor, told guests at a dinner hosted by Mother Jones in San Francisco he won’t be casting his ballot for either major party nominee.
Steele said Trump has “captured the racist underbelly, that frustration, that angry underbelly of American life and gave voice to that,” according to BuzzFeed.
“I was damn near puking during the debates,” Steele said.
Steele, who led the RNC from 2009 to 2011, joins Marc Racicot, Mel Martinez, Bill Brock and Ken Mehlman as former RNC chiefs who won’t back Trump.

Good morning TOD! After some sleep, I’m over my anger from last night although my disgust remains. Two nights in a row of his boorishness did me in. But there is another point in this. Based on all the reviews, his “best” joke was the one on Melania’s plagiarism. Think about that. Throwing your wife under the bus in a public setting–utter humiliation–is just terribly funny. Although I cannot stand her either with her lying ways, I cringed for her. Yet no one seemed to think twice about the fact he was throwing his WIFE under the bus. Have all the lessons PBO taught this country about how you treat your wife flown out the window so quickly? Apparently so. Perhaps the biggest lesson of the last 16 months is just how quickly our social norms and mores can be destroyed when not checked.
This will not be over on election day. Hopefully, he will be gone from public view for most of us, but we have a very tough job ahead of us in putting acceptable standards of behavior back in place.
Finally, after that spectacle last night, anyone who thinks that he has the ability to discern the appropriate protocol of the various hats that must be worn as president is an utter idiot. He in fact has no clue what various situations demand, and obviously has no ability to learn.

“You know what, she’s saying some nasty things,” the Texas congressman answered.
Colmes asked again if the comment was appropriate, to which Babin responded, “Well, I’m a genteel Southerner, Alan.”
“So that means no?” Colmes asked.
“No, I think sometimes a lady needs to be told when she’s being nasty,” Babin replied. “I do.”
It’s almost as if they’re trying to lose.

At the end of the briefing, Josh said PBO will be in San Diego (!) on Sunday (think he means PBO will fly to west coast and then appear in San Diego on Monday, but not sure), LA on Monday and Tuesday, back to DC for Wednesday and Thursday meetings, then to Orlando FL (for more Rubio bashing no doubt, LOL) on Friday.
Am in a state of shock that PBO will be in San Diego, one of the most fiercely conservative cities on the west coast (it’s changed since I grew up there, but its foundation was built on US Navy and Marines, plus tourism). Think @ApplegateCA49 will no doubt be at that event, and look forward to seeing Darrell Issa getting PBO’s Marco Rubio treatment 🙂 ).
Shameless GOP have done nothing but obstruct, and haven’t taken their jobs seriously. From now until election day, it’s payback time, baby, from #TwoTermsBaby POTUS.
