      Well actually her brain and her abilities are her own. While many used to talk about how brilliant Bill is, I always suspected that she was the real brain. How many women thousands of women have been the ones behind the scenes who did most of the work, who put the lofty ideas into tangible, practical things that affected the lives of others, while the men with the charm were out in front getting all of the accolades and the money?

    Trump falsely claims CNN shuts off camera during rally

    Donald Trump accused CNN of cutting off video of his Pennsylvania rally on Monday night, saying the network shut off its camera while the GOP nominee was telling a crowd of thousands about the news network’s shortcomings.

    Trump repeated a false claim he had tweeted earlier, that CNN had purposely manipulated a post-debate focus group to produce a pro-Hillary Clinton result.

    “CNN is a disgrace,” Trump said.

    Then, Trump claimed CNN had turned their camera off: “Oh they just turned off their camera! So funny they just turned off their camera. I love it!” Trump said.

    But Trump was wrong. CNN was actually turning their cameras on, and was moments away from going live from the Trump rally with correspondent Sunlen Serfaty. Video from CNN’s broadcast and the raw feed from Trump’s rally confirms that sequence of events.

    “CNN’s camera is on. The reporter is doing a live shot right now. Trump is lying right now,” tweeted NBC correspondent Katy Tur.

    SoS HRC just left my ‘hood and alma mater (OSU).

    the “no enthusiasm” crowd (per media) was incredible and it was mainly young people;

    a few weeks ago, I tried to calm people here … but the voices of the national punditry were louder ;

    when you live and are active grassroots politics in the Ultimate Swing State of Ohio, you know that each election cycle, you have to fight for each vote block by block, door by door, until the final election results are announced;

    each election cycle, you continue believing that your candidate will win;

    volunteering is never easy but the euphoric feeling when you win is incredible;

    Ps. on Thursday, PBO is in Columbus, just at the edge of OSU … the struggle continues

    HAYES CATCHES GIULIANI IN A LIE…CLINTON WAS BEING TRUTHFUL

    I was watching Hayes’ show last evening and he had a segment where he was discussing the leaked email that supposedly includes the transcripts from Clinton’s Wall Street speeches…specifically the comment, “Politicians need both a public and private position in order to get things done.”

    A question came up about that during the debate, and Clinton in explaining it, said she was referencing the movie, Lincoln.

    Trump, in his carnival way of doing things, criticized the answer and the reference to Lincoln…Honest Abe…Lincoln didn’t lie; you do.

    Giuliani, making his rounds as Trump’s surrogate, was emphatic that Clinton was lying. He said that he had read the transcripts and that what it actually said was, “I have to say to you the bankers, stuff that you like to hear because I want your money. But then I’ve got to say other stuff out there because Bernie Sanders is coming after me.”

    The first clue that Giuliani, himself, was lying was the reference to Bernie Sanders in a 2013 speech…*before* either of them were running for President. What was the likelihood that Clinton was referencing Bernie Sanders in a speech back then?

    It turns out, what the speech actually said was, “…getting back to that word ‘balance’ – how to balance the public and the private efforts that are necessary to be successful, politically, and that’s not just a comment about today. That, I think, has probably been true from all of our history, and if you saw the Spielberg movie, Lincoln and how he was maneuvering and working to get the 13th amendment passed…”

    Apparently, Giuliani was “mistaken”.

    =====

    It continues to irk me that these guys — especially Trump and Company — can just spout off lies as if they are stating fact, and for the most part get away with it. This just plays into the stage that has already been set that Clinton lies…which is rich coming from someone whose truth resides in the alternative universe in which he lives.

    And of course, this revelation will get little if any notice, but that debate segment continues to be on a loop.

    “Hell freezes over: Glenn Beck says electing Hillary Clinton is the “moral, ethical choice””

    No, he’s not voting for her. No need to worry that the universe might actually explode. But in a lengthy diatribe posted to his Facebook page in the hours after Donald Trump’s sexual assault tape leaked, Glenn Beck said that the most patriotic thing conservatives can do at this point is to simply get out of this election’s way and let Hillary Clinton’s supporters vote her into the White House.

    I’ve been waiting for this one …..

  44. October 11, 2016 at 8:53 am

    Once again, why isn’t the MSM all over this?!?!?!?!

    So today, when Kurt Eichenwald printed this bombshell article, no one was truly shocked. In it, Kurt says the following:

    “The documents that Wikileaks unloaded recently have been emails out of the account of John Podesta, the chairman of Clinton’s election campaign. Almost as soon as the pilfered documents emerged, Sputnik was all over them and rapidly found (or probably already knew about before the Wikileaks dump) a purportedly incriminating email from Blumenthal.

    Then came the money quote: “Clinton was in charge of the State Department, and it failed to protect U.S. personnel at an American consulate in Libya. If the GOP wants to raise that as a talking point against her, it is legitimate,” said Blumenthal, putting to rest the Democratic Party talking point that the investigation into Clinton’s management of the State Department at the time of the attack was nothing more than a partisan witch hunt.”

    Those words sounded really, really familiar. Really familiar. Like, so familiar they struck me as something I wrote. Because they were something I wrote.

    The Russians were quoting two sentences from a 10,000 word piece I wrote for Newsweek, which Blumenthal had emailed to Podesta.

    • October 11, 2016 at 8:54 am

      Yes, the Russians were trying to present direct quotes and passages from a journalist who was NOT Sydney Blumenthal as the October Surprise that would supposedly tank Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

      Mind you, this just dropped a few hours ago. The update to this story is even more shocking.

      While at a rally in Pennsylvania, Donald Trump started waving around a document and saying that he had an email from Sydney Blumenthal – the same email that Sputnik quoted. Immediately, Trump started spouting the same disinformation as the Sputnik article, using a typical Russian tactic. He says:

      “This just came out a little while ago. I have to tell you this.”

      And then he read the words from Eichenwald’s article, presented as being from Blumenthal.

    Ted Cruz said Monday that he still supports Republican nominee Donald Trump for president. After reportedly reevaluating that choice when a lewd video of Trump surfaced over the weekend, Cruz says he still believes the GOP candidate will make a better leader than Hillary Clinton.

          October 11, 2016 at 9:41 am

          hehe – it’s probably a TOD thing – we teach each other 🙂

          Cruz has really lost it – everyone of his decisions during this election has been wrong. It will be useful as examples of his bad decision making if he tries to run again in later years.

          • October 11, 2016 at 9:50 am

            His actions in the Senate also showed that country was not a priority. Even during the primaries, he stayed under the radar, especially when it came to attacking Trump, until he thought it was safe to come out.

            Despite that academy award performance prior to him dropping out where he was indignant about then Trump targeting his wife and father, it is not a big surprise that he is now supporting Trump.

    http://www.cbs5az.com/story/33360816/clinton-proposes-tax-relief-for-families-with-young-kids

    Continuing her policy focus on children and families, Hillary Clinton is pledging more tax relief for families with young kids.

    The Democratic presidential nominee announced a plan on Tuesday to double the Child Tax Credit and to increase the amount that low-income families could get back in refunds.

    Clinton said she is trying to help families struggling with the cost of child care, health care and college. She said the “new tax credit will make their lives a little bit easier and help restore fairness to our economy.”

    Clinton has made women and families a central priority of her campaign. She has pledged not to raise taxes on the middle class and has proposed plans to cap child care costs and offer tax credits for excessive health care costs or for family caregivers.

    The latest proposal is in keeping with that. Currently, the Child Tax Credit is $1,000 per child under 17. Clinton would increase it to $2,000 per child up until the age of 4.

    “‘Lecherous and worthless’: Megachurch pastor from Trump’s own evangelical council denounces him”

    [James MacDonald, megachurch pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel] A member of Donald Trump’s evangelical council wrote a sharply worded email calling the Republican presidential candidate’s lewd comments made in a 2005 video “misogynistic trash that reveals a man to be lecherous and worthless,” saying he is no longer willing to offer more of his time without a “change of heart and direction.”

    “If Mr. Trump isn’t seeking our counsel now — 1) to be repentant 2) on how to portray that repentance, then the idea of a faith council (which has deteriorated into influence brokering anyway) is really kind of a joke right?” MacDonald wrote. “I have spent my life helping men get free from such disgusting commentary on women — even writing my doctoral dissertation on self-disclosure of sin among men. I cannot and will not offer help to a man who believes this kind of talk a minor error.”

    “No more defending Mr. Trump as simply foolish or loose lipped,” MacDonald wrote.
