Last 2 debates I got so mad & was ashamed of myself; but tonight I’m using a sedative & it’s much easier to sit through. Lost count on his snorts & sniffs.
Haha — could take my cat’s Prozac! Actually through the other two debates I got calmer Clinton and then Kaine did so well Tonight he’s only repeating lies that only those who already support him believe. He’s babbling, she’s talking policy and strategy.
And there’s Bill Clinton, and Hillary. What a disgusting pig he is! What a liar!!! I really hope the pundits go after him. And isn’t he being accused of rape of a girl who was 13?

Pointing his finger at Hillary ain’t workin’ for me. I am not a violent person, but every time he does it, I mentally drop kick him. Whatever that means – just sounds about right to me.
I was one of them. The last year that Clinton was in office, I took advantage of the first time home owners program. It was designed for people to be able to own and keep their homes. There were classes to help with how to buy and maintain a home, a list of realtors who had been trained in the program as well as financial help. I had good credit and a job ( my teacher’s salary was less than 35,000 at the time), but little money. I needed to have 500.00 and the program paid all of the closing costs. I kept asking the program managers how they could do this and why. The aim was simply to provide hardworking people with an opportunity to attain the American dream of home ownership that would improve communities and individual lives. There were even procedures set up to help people who had poor credit work to get their finances managed so that they could reach the credit score that they needed to get a loan. The banks who were part of the program intended to keep the loans so they worked to help people to be in a position to pay them back. I am still in the home that I bought and have always been able to pay the mortgage on time without strain. After the Clinton years, the banks stepped up the predatory lending and other practices that led to much of the financial crisis in 2007-2008
CEB, always good to hear personal testimony of one who has taken advantage of these programs. I served on the board of directors of a non-profit that administers such programs; a very rewarding experience. I’m the elected tax collector for my municipality & school district; one of the most uplifting calls I ever received was from a homeowner calling to ensure the state had paid her taxes. Long before the housing crisis, Pennsylvania had a program (HEMAP) to assist homeowners unable to make their mortgage payments through no fault of their own (job loss, catastrophic illness, abandoned spouses, etc…). This woman, who had no idea that I served on the board, waxed poetically about the assistance she was receiving when hit with a triple whammy (cancer, lost job, hubby left). When I revealed my affiliation with the program, she cried. I personally had nothing to do with the assistance she received; she was just grateful that the program was available and administered by people who really cared.
I’ve also recommended the first time home buyers and the housing rehab programs to people; both with mixed results.
All of the people that I dealt with in the program were very helpful, respectful, and wanted us to achieve our dream of home ownership. They also featured me in their journal after I sent them a photo of myself in front of my new home (well, new to me) with a thank you note.
