      Congrats Judith!

Pence is one of the worst GOP Governors and I hope his state is watching and won’t vote him in again or hopefully he is termed out. I hope his political carrier is over!

I am here in Indiana. He might have lost his re-election campaign but in any case he’s out. Yay. Now we need to add a Dem to the Senate. Looks like there’s a pretty good chance we will have two Dem senators. Amazing. Now we are living in a Koch brothers satelite state like Wiscons and Kansas.

Lost me when he went on TV as a pundit and didn’t support his President. (He also didn’t last long as a pundit unless he went to some other channel that I can’t see from down under)

Josh Earnest has impressed me beyond comparison. The others were OK but felt the need to run off and join big business. Josh is incredibly smart, steady, wise and doesn’t suffer fools. And he does it in his own way, which is really phenomenal. It’s been a privilege to watch him work.

During a conference call with reporters, Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager Robbie Mook said Nevada, North Carolina, and Florida could be decided before election day.

    – Record numbers of people are voting by mail in Florida. 2.7 million have requested ballots compared to 1.8 million in 2012. Democrats are winning the vote by mail requests. Hispanic vote by mail requests are up 77%, and Asian voters are up 80%.

    – Twice as many Democrats voting in person in Iowa. Three times as many Democrats are returning ballots.

    – Ohio 950,000 voter absentee applications received. One of every six from Democratic Cuyahoga County.

    – Big spike in early voting in the Democratic stronghold of Northern Virginia

    – Democratic turnout very high in Democratic counties in Wisconsin.

Pentagon Press Secretary Peter Cooke confirmed that the leader was killed in a drone strike.

      From the article:
All of these governors have smeared or criticized the President, but Obama is there for them and the people of their states when disaster strikes. That is what a real president does, and it is why the American people should be thankful that Barack Obama is not as petty or partisan as his Republican critics.

Pakistan’s government has closed a loophole allowing those behind so-called honour killings to go free.

New legislation means killers will get a mandatory life sentence.

Previously, killers could be pardoned by a victim’s family to avoid a jail term. Now forgiveness will only spare them the death penalty.

It is being seen as a step in the right direction in a country where attacks on women who go against conservative rules on love and marriage are common.

Long day for me. Has this been posted already?

Donald Trump has blasted Hillary Clinton for accepting money from Saudi Arabia through her foundation, but a Daily News investigation reveals he has padded his bank account with cash from the same country.

Trump sold the 45th floor of Trump World Tower to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for $4.5 million in June 2001, according to a city Finance Department spokeswoman. In 2008, the apartments became part of the Saudi Mission to the United Nations, records show.

The five apartments included 10 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms at the time of the sale, and had yearly common charges of $85,585 for building amenities, documents obtained by The News show. If those common charges remain the same, Trump was paid at least $5.7 million by the Saudi government since 2001.

I am not a campaign strategist or expert so I may be totally off base with the comments below.

I wish the Democrats would not divulge to the media, so many numbers about the voter registration, GOTV efforts, and other aspects of the ground game.

I think revealing much about strategy many days before the election is over will encourage the opposition to increase their own participation and eliminates the element of surprise when the final tally is announced.

I would keep these close to my chest and then watch with pleasure as the over-confident gop-bubble bursts on election night => just like when mr, 47% romney did not prepare a concession speech or the fox & karl rove melt-down over Ohio in 2012.

May be the professionals know that it is a motivator for more Dem involvement & donations.

Good evening TOD! Hope that everyone in the affected areas, and those with family there, are safe and sound. Things seem to be improving marginally, although bad prediction for the storm surge. I remember well when we thought Katrina was over only to find out it was a disaster unfolding.

Difficult to tell how this will affect the election although I saw somewhere tonight that in 2012 no less than 85,000 were registered to vote in FL in the last five days of the registration period. Hopefully the DNC will sue to get the time extended.

    Sleep well! PBO’s got this!

Happy Friday! Morning everyone:) In “You Don’t Say!” news….

A Republican lobbyist was earning hundreds of thousands of dollars to promote one of Vladimir Putin’s top geopolitical priorities at the same time he was helping to shape Donald Trump’s first major foreign policy speech.
In the first two quarters of 2016, the firm of former Reagan administration official Richard Burt received $365,000 for work he and a colleague did to lobby for a proposed natural-gas pipeline owned by a firm controlled by the Russian government, according to congressional lobbying disclosures reviewed by POLITICO. The pipeline, opposed by the Polish government and the Obama administration, would allow Russian gas to reach central and western European markets while bypassing Ukraine and Belarus, extending Putin’s leverage over Europe.
