  6. October 3, 2016 at 7:20 pm

If nothing else, this campaign has been and continues to be very revealing about Donald Trump — the individual and the “businessman”. His entire life has been about benefiting himself. Why anyone would think that he would *now* think about benefiting others…the same others whom he has cheated and deceived…is beyond me.

This article had me shaking my head — gasping even — in places even though knowing what we know and continue to learn, none of it was surprising.

I think I’ll go with David Plouffe – HRC wins Ohio and Iowa – based on her ground game, and the Donald wilting under the weight of all his flaws in the next few weeks. There is nothing the Donald can bring up against HRC that she is not prepared for. And he has to endure two more debates vainly masking his enormous lack of knowledge.

      • October 3, 2016 at 9:51 pm

It seems we need to cover all 50 states. Do we have the resources? In my precinct, we still have paper ballots that are scanned…….I trust this process more than a computer screen. UGH.

We have paper ballots that are counted. No scans. There was talk of voting online until our last census was done online & there was a massive system crash. No more discussion of online voting.

President Obama talked about it during the climate change SXSL panel. They had a mini party at the White House. Another reason why he wanted Bill Clinton to hurry up and get on the plane.

#OctoberSurprise – your morning jokes fer free.

  42. October 4, 2016 at 7:23 am

After WikiLeaks founder and international cyberterrorist Julian Assange spent a month hyping an “October Surprise” leak which he promised would somehow destroy Hillary Clinton, his conspiracy nutjob fans stayed up all night on Monday for the event, which inexplicably began sometime after three in the morning eastern standard time. After more than an hour of various WikiLeaks operatives publicly patting themselves on the back for being important, Assange finally appeared via a comically inept videoconference call – and admitted that he wasn’t releasing any information on Clinton after all.

Meanwhile, Julian Assange is still promising that he’ll somehow release some kind of unspecified information which will damage Hillary Clinton sometime before election day, though he appeared to confused and disoriented that it wasn’t clear whether even he believed his own lies.

    • October 4, 2016 at 7:24 am

Instead, Tuesday morning’s “surprise” was broadcast over a live-streamed news conference that ended up being a self-congratulatory pat on the back for 10 years in business .

Donald Trump surrogate and pal Roger Stone, who has claimed to have close contact with Assange, teased the reveal on Twitter indicating that Assange’s big show would spell the end for Clinton’s Presidential ambitions.

No such reveal came, but Assange did note that his digital outlet did “a helluva lot of work,” over the past decade. He also teased another upcoming book called Cyberpunks, and noted that there were still documents relating to the 2016 election yet to be revealed. Assange hopes that they will be made public in time for the November 8 election.

  43. October 4, 2016 at 7:25 am

    He’s basically admitted to this…

This time Trump was attempting to bribe Charlie Crist, who was Florida’s Republican Attorney General in 2005, before he went on to become Governor and then later quit the Republican Party in disgust. Trump had each of his companies donate $500 to the Crist campaign, which was the legal limit at the time, in order to funnel a total of $4500 into Crist’s coffers. However there is nothing to suggest that Trump got anything in return for it.

Trump also bribed Greg Abbott, then the Attorney General of Texas, though he appears to have been more careful to cover his legal tracks in that instance. But his decade old illegal bribe of Charlie Crist suggests that he’s been buying off (or trying and failing to buy off) politicians for some time, and he’s been willing to break the law in order to make it happen.

Back in 1986 and likely for many years before, Donald Trump colluded in tax evasion with Bulgari Jewelry Store in New York…

Trump would go into the store with his wife, his girlfriend, his…whatever (to use his vernacular). He would then buy her an expensive necklace or wristwatch. Normally, such a transaction would face the New York city and state sales tax, which would be pretty high on luxury jewelry.

In an illegal attempt to evade the tax, Trump “asked” the store to instead ship the jewelry to an out of state location, where no New York sales tax could be collected. In fact, the store would merely send an empty jewelry box to the location, while Trump and his lady friends walked out the door with the jewelry that very day.

The state and city tax collectors eventually caught onto this scheme, and Trump promptly testified against his erstwhile tax evasion colluding partners at the jewelry store in order to save his own skin.

The empty box scam is just the most colorful example of Trump’s history of crossing the line from legal tax avoidance to illegal tax evasion.

    • October 4, 2016 at 8:36 am

Either these are people who have elevated Assange and his group to rock-star status, or it’s a matter of some people’s uncontrollable curiosity when it comes to wrecks, disasters, or other’s misfortunes.

I’m sure that there are many that find it hard to believe that no “real” negative information has come out on Clinton. The media is doing their best to tamp down any HRC positive news — Hillary’s leading in the polls, BUT she’s still having problems with millennials; BUT she is not where PBO was in 2008 or 2012.

Aside from the daily revelations of the REAL Donald Trump, the drama of this general election not to the level the MSM desires.

I guess I would approve the tax thing differently..
Trump is talking about giving a tax cut to the wealthiest Americans… A 12 trillion dollar tax cut…
He’s also talking about rebuilding our roads bridges airports… Funding the VA… Funding our school system… Funding our military…
If he’s going to do all these tax cuts for him and his buddies… Where is he getting the money for all this spending?
Shouldn’t Americans be asking this question?
    I mean I see another 20 trillion being spent…
And he says he isn’t touching entitlements..(except Obamacare)👎👎👎😐
