Quite a day today. Big hugs all around. Penumbral Eclipse of the Moon coming in for the Full Moon on Friday 16 Sept 2016. More on that closer to the day. ❤️

PBO was his usual remarkably poised, gracious and comforting self.

Thanks NW for all that you are doing to keep this blog going. We all value you dearly! Do you think Chips will be back? Spandan has all but abandoned TPV and our own Liberal Librarian is keeping it going for many of us and no one knows if he’ll be back. I am worried that Chips is done as President Obama only has a few short months left and having been gone for over 3 months now, it may just be too much of her to come back. I hope I’m wrong, I pray I’m wrong. It doesn’t appear that anyone has heard from Chips either, so that worries me too. Thanks for letting me vent my concerns. Sorry if I have offended anyone.

Abid Qureshi may be the next lightning rod in a tumultuous presidential campaign.

When President Obama named Qureshi to a federal judgeship on Tuesday, the first Muslim American to be nominated, he underscored a message about the importance of a diverse judiciary: by some counts, the president has done more than any of his predecessors to make the federal judiciary look like the United States, with record numbers of female, Latino, black, and gay judges in courts today.

But he may also have issued an unspoken challenge to Donald Trump, who has questioned whether he would be treated fairly by a Muslim judge, because of the Republican candidate’s proposed ban on Muslim immigration.

I am a Pinterest user. I like to pin recipes, artwork, gardening, crafts for future use. In my browsing lately I have noticed a lot of negative Hillary posts scattered in the different sections as well as pro Donald posts. I have not seen any that go the opposite way. The GOP supporters seem to be prevalent and hateful.

Hi, I’m Carol R on Pinterest and have a few pins under Hillary Rodham Clinton. I mostly pin for President Obama now for future memories. As a Wyoming voter I’m volunteering on HRC web site to make calls to CO.

Just take a look at who you maybe following. You can unfollow so that you won’t see offensive items. I am a Pinterest user as well and I don’t allow it in my psyche.

That’s because people that back Hillary don’t bother to respond to all the negative BS on social media, and get out and work and donate to get her elected. I, also, think that some of the people that post that are paid trolls.

It is timidity now that grades this ridiculous man running this ridiculous campaign on the biggest curve of all—the timidity of a people who have declined the responsibilities of serious citizenship and the abdication of its duty under the Constitution of a putatively free press too timid to call them on it. That is the political correctness that truly is hurting the country and may yet hurt it beyond all repair. There’s only one candidate now running however gingerly against that.

Does that make her health a legitimate campaign issue? Not any more than it previously had been.

What this whole episode has proved is that people like Roger Stone and Steve Bannon have gotten into the media’s collective head.
With this latest episode, I sure as hell hope they got a wake up call. Because today was downright embarrassing for them.

    Embarrassing and shameful.

They owe Hillary Clinton a deep, deep apology for unwittingly taking the Stone/Bannon bait, and blowing a situation up into something it was not.

More importantly, they owe an apology to their audiences, who entrust them to give them the facts, not jump the gun and report pure speculation.

LH, I rarely go near Huffington Post, but I read this one because it was a voice of sanity in the midst of the frenzy the media conjures up whenever the Trump campaign manipulates them. If there is still an ‘audience’ in the US that expects “facts” from the media, I feel deeply sorry for them. With very few exceptions, the media today is the voice of the right wing and the Republican Party. Journalism as it might once have been practiced is as extinct in the US as the wagon wheel maker and the blacksmith.

Yes we did, and we loved to fly kites and ride bicycles and watch cartoons. My 11 year old son is so innocent, and now his mom and I are starting to have “The talk” with him about what he should do if he’s ever approached by the police. As black parents know all too well, which do you talk to your kids about first, the police or the birds or the bees?

Hillary is a G. Had pneumonia, and STILL showed up to the fundraisers, and the 9-11 tribute. Typical woman, and I say that with respect.

Hilarious that this comes out of some GUY’S mouth:) Any man I know, husband included, falls apart with sniffles and a damn sore throat. Meanwhile, Hillary has walking pneumonia and she’s STILL doing the hard work, and somehow the man gets a pass….

      Morning, rikyrah:) Morning, TOD:)

Riyrah, there isn’t a mother in the world who has not pushed herself through sickness and extreme fatigue because she had a job to do, or, in fact, multiple jobs. We’ve climbed out of sickbeds to answer cries, do chores, take the kids to school, ball practice or dance class, go to work, pick up the kids, make dinner, help with homework, do laundry and clean the house before falling back into our sickbeds at the end of the day. It’s what we do and it’s what makes us strong. If the sick whiners and con men in the Trump campaign want to make an issue of it, I will stand with a wall of women to defend Hillary. Send extra dollars to her campaign today and make some calls. We will NOT be pushed around.

On another note, has anyone found the Essence Magazine with the First Couple on the front? I may have to go to Barnes and Noble or something…can’t find it anywhere. Making trips just for that….and always come up empty. I want to read and and vacuum seal it forever:)
