Thanks, Nerdy, for bringing us real news. I wonder how many Americans know our President is even abroad, let alone what he’s doing and why. Funny how the ‘greatest’ country is among the most ignorant.
He’s not running for PTA President, or dog catcher, or anything like that. He’s running for PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!!! He wants to be the COMMANDER IN CHIEF of our Armed Forces!!!! These are positions that should not allow a “curve” or a lowering of the bar. If Trumps needs those in order to even have the appearance of being competitive, he should not be considered qualified to run. The media is doing a disservice to the American — insulting us — by continuing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt and not holding him to the same standard as anyone else who is and has run for POTUS.
Honestly, as much as he claims to have donated to (bribed) politicians (and we know he didn’t do it expecting nothing in return), and his associations with the Washington establishment, and his claims of being the smartest person in the room (only in his mind), IMO he shouldn’t even be considered an political outsider.
I thought the same thing when I first saw it. I guess the real point is how low the bar is.
And my point is that for DJT, bar should be as high as the bar has been for PBO and HRC…not to mention that PBO has cleared the bar, but has raised it.
I guess, but those familiar with the limbo dance will know that that pic is more one of success than failure. Anyhoo…..
Also, too, you won’t get any argument from me that DJT has been allowed to walk under a really high bar without bending even his head, or over a bar resting on the round. 😦
Hillary Clinton’s speech in Tampa was great. Full of solid policy proposals and calling out DJT. Also, Tim Kaine’s speech on National Security in Wilmington, N.C was terrific. Meanwhile ……
All three cable networks are carrying Trump's rally live, reduced Clinton to a mini box in the corner with no audio pic.twitter.com/zHVFfv46Ee
They deserve to be thrown off the airwaves for the blatent disregard of showing both sides in an election. No-one is seeing Hillary’s speeches/proposals – all the media is showing about Hillary is negatives that are not in any way truthful.
People!! Boycott their products, call them, email them and tell them they will lose your business unless they truly put their $$ where their mouths are!
Companies like Pepsi, DuPont, and Google might say that they support climate action, but in reality, they are funding lawmakers opposed to President Obama’s climate agenda, according to a Reuters report released Tuesday morning.
Over the last year, more than 150 companies have signed on to the “American Business Act on Climate Pledge,” a commitment created by Obama to encourage businesses to adopt sustainable practices and show their support for the Paris climate agreement. But in looking at the 25 largest donations made during the 2016 election cycle by the political action committees of the 30 largest publicly traded companies involved in the pledge, Reuters found a discrepancy between the businesses’ outward support for climate action and their private political spending.
Hillary is doing a very smart thing in the new way she is handling the press. She’s got them on her turf in the back of the plane, comes back in her own time frame and does an ad hoc presser with them. They can no longer complain about access, and she responds to questions on her own terms.
You’re right that HRC is doing the right thing, IF we weren’t saddled with abhorrent MSM.
Now that MSM can’t whine (incessantly) about press conferences/access, they’ll pick up whatever the complaint-of-the-day spewed out by either DJT and/or Drudge Report.
I have honestly never witnessed anything that comes close to the way MSM ignore DJT’s lies and heap praise on this greedy monster.
MSM seems compelled to mention the most egregious lies that come out of his mouth, but they don’t follow up or indicate that he’s lying and/or making stuff up.
This why I enjoy @ddale’s tweets (sorry that he has blocked you, Nena 😦 ) because he clearly states in his tweets when DJT lies or fabricates.
Clinton has gone from not talking to the media to talking to even media people not looking to talk to her. https://t.co/lMV8jQCNoI
Hmm?
Well, Fact, ince at least 1992, Dems in General Elections have showed up to vote more than GOPers. Hence, #CNN is reaching for a more negative spin to trash #HRC. IMHO.
I just suggested via text to staff person that writes me all the time about raising money why they are not using ordinary supporters to push back at the media via social media. I don’t know if this even helps, but it is abhorrent what they are doing, particularly what they did today, blocking her out and only showing him on all three cable channels.
I am ready to write newspapers editorials and sponsors to complain. I never watch CNN and rarely watch MSNBC whether its news or documentaries, I will never watch them. We need to spread the word that these shows are unworthy to watch.
Senate Democrats on Tuesday blocked a $1.1 billion bill to combat the Zika virus.
They opposed provisions in the bill that would have blocked funding for Planned Parenthood and that would have allowed Confederate flags to fly at military veteran cemeteries.
The vote failed 52 to 46. It needed 60 votes to advance.
I got a CNN alert that simply reads “$1.1 billion bill to combat Zika virus fails in Senate 52 to 46. It needed 60 votes to advance.”
If you click through, it reads the information you posted, but those who only blame Democrats no matter the reason will continue to bray their ignorance without addressing the facts.
Democrats need to call out the dirty trick of loading the bill with poison provisions.
Several have posted today about Congress returning to session today, so here’s my opportunity to post tweets from Meta and my favorite (aka handsomest) Senator (junior NM Senator):
Looks like the youth brigade of the Senate are fast friends:
As a reminder, our Congressional layabouts have their work cut out for them this month (they “work” 3 days in October, then they’re on hiatus after until after the November election — and the fiscal year for the federal government ends on Sep 30):
I saw that interview this morning and was very proud that Tamron pushed back on that lying Trump surrogate, who tried to deflect the conversation to HRC instead of answering. Tamron also called her out for lying about Trump not being able to produce his taxes because he is being audited. She threw her attorney credentials in, but Tamron was not having it. 🙂
Aha! Here is some tangible proof to back up my knowledge that young author interviewed on the previous thread seemed ‘immature’ or out of touch in his thinking to me. He was the one rambling on about Pres O – ‘He wasn’t going to play favoritism to Black America. He wasn’t a race man, yada yada’ [ https://theobamadiary.com/2016/09/06/early-bird-chat-838/#comment-1581844 ]
// ………………………….. According to the Washington Post, Anne Joseph O’Connell of the University of California, Berkeley studied presidential appointments dating back to 1977 and concluded that Obama has placed women or minorities in 53.5 percent of all staff positions.
That’s in stark contrast with 25.6 percent during the tenure of George W. Bush and 37.5 percent during the presidency of Bill Clinton. This dramatic change led Democratic Party consultant and lobbyist Robert Raben to tell the Washington Post last September that “diversity is a permanent part of the federal government.”
In many ways, there is an Obama generation in black America, and it ranges from the children born after Obama’s election who have only known a black president to the 18-year-olds who are about to vote this November for the first time who assume that there will be someone who looks like them on the ballot, as well as the young adults who discovered that public service and the activist spirit can combine and lead to a job in the corridors of the White House, one of the most powerful buildings in the world.
I like it that Joy is not allowing Trump surrogates to pivot to “but Hillary Clinton” to avoid answering questions. Nor is she letting them get away with giving vague (or no) answers. Hopefully, more “journalists” will follow suit.
Love this conclusion from the article shared above by young people who joined the Obama Admin to be a part of history! “If you put your mind to it, you can change the world.”
// …………………………
[Gregory] Lorjuste, who has worked with the president for all eight years, was measured when asked about the takeaways from his tenure. “Change takes time,” he said. “We have brought a new way of doing things.”
Then he added proudly, “I’ve been to 33 countries in eight years with the president. I’ve seen firsthand that big ideas actually happen. If you put your mind to it, you can change the world. During my upbringing, I never would have thought that.”
I gaze at the look in the eyes and on the face of the little one in deep red, stretching out his hand/arm ~ I am totally mesmerized by the scene. I pray PBO reached out to touch that focused little Soul next. I’ll bet he did. ❤️❤️
Oka so we need a real governor in Maryland who doesn’t issue executive orders that put the profits of his eastern shore republican business buddies above the learning needs of black children throughout the state of Maryland!
Black Children Matter Too! That’s why I want to recruit Michelle Obama to be the next Democratic Governor of the State of Maryland! The Obamas should forget about that house in DC and move to Maryland! We need Michelle. What better advocate for education! We need Michelle. She would win here easily!!
Namaste! 🕉🕉🕉
Congrats MP, on first!
Was lucky to be passing through! 🕉❤🕉❤🕉
Good Wednesday Afternoon TODers.
Hello Nerdy and thanks a million for all of your hard work and bringing us the news on PBO’s travels.
Thanks, Nerdy, for bringing us real news. I wonder how many Americans know our President is even abroad, let alone what he’s doing and why. Funny how the ‘greatest’ country is among the most ignorant.
I am bringing this over because it some kind of funny. Watch this kid.
That was WONDERFUL! Love that kid!

IMO in the Trump’s bar pic, the individual should be stepping *over* the bar. It’s really hard to get under that limbo bar.
I thought the same thing when I first saw it. I guess the real point is how low the bar is.

Pardon me……oops 😉 Since at least…….
How can we put pressure on CNN and MSNBC to cover Hillary’s speeches instead of Trump all the time?
I just suggested via text to staff person that writes me all the time about raising money why they are not using ordinary supporters to push back at the media via social media. Good ideas, lets see if we can use them in the next few days. If anyone has contact info for these news organizations, share them on the blog.
He is simply amazing. We have been blessed to have him in our presence.

GA/GE Nena.
To reiterate the point you made earlier…
Good for Democrats!
Half-hearted coverage for the GOP:

GN, people,
and nyt ‘published’ this claptrap?
Inorite. Donald Trump says (fill in the blank) and the media stenographers dutifully make it a headline.
OH MY ……
Why am I not surprised – this is the cause as to why some polls see the election as getting closer. No-one hears what the democrats are doing/saying.
Who does the internal polling for clinton campaign? Kenyan had Joel Benenson who was pretty good.
