Hi GF. Hope you are well. We are so blessed to have such a dynamic duo as President and Vice President. They should be poster children for how to run an administration.
So for this Saturday’s “outreach to black” Trump has been given a script to answer this pastors questions. Can you imagine how they would crucify Hillary if she did something like this?
“Instead of speaking to the congregation at Great Faith Ministries International, Mr. Trump will be interviewed by its pastor in a session that will be closed to the public and news media, with questions submitted in advance. And instead of letting Mr. Trump be his freewheeling self, his campaign has prepared lengthy answers for the submitted questions, consulting black Republicans to make sure he says the right things.”
@JesseLehrich This is just incredible…and everything Hillary does is scrutinized to the nth degree. Wow Wow Wow!!
That’s exactly what he did. His ability to manipulate the media is also the reason he doesn’t feel the need to spend money on ads. He gets all the free air time he wants.
Good evening to all my fellow TOD villagers.
I wish to thank you all for messages of condolence as well as your prayers for the loss of my son. They were a comfort and generated some warm feelings.
Knowing you’re not alone is a BIG DEAL!
{{{{Yardarm}}}} I think I somehow missed that your son had passed away; just checked your facebook and early August TOD.
My condolences to, and prayers for, you and your family. Unfortunately, I know from personal experience the pain of losing a child; just doesn’t seem right for a child to go first… It is a Blessing that he was able to save his Grandson; hope the young fellow is fully (physically) recovered.
Yardarm, you’re a brave man with a great and loving heart. I’m so sorry you have had this tragic loss in your life. Hope you can find some peace in the days ahead.
Yardarm, your ohana here is always with you, always beaming loving support to you and to us all. Glad you’re feeling some comfort, though nothing can make up for the loss of your son. Our hearts are with you ❤
{{{{{Yardarm}}}}} Again, my condolences to you and your family and prayers that your hearts continue to mend, that you continue to be strengthened, and that you find comfort and peace.
Tim Kaine was in NH today working his fanny off. He did 6 events, visited campaign offices and phonebanked. He seems to be having a great time. He’s a good man.
Hillary Clinton raised $143 million in August, a total that includes her own campaign’s collections as well as money for joint fundraising committees with the national and state parties.
Her campaign hailed the monthly fundraising haul Thursday as its best of the campaign cycle. The Democratic nominee has more than $68 million on hand, and its average donation last month was about $50.
“Thanks to the 2.3 million people who have contributed to our campaign, we are heading into the final two months of the race with the resources we need to organize and mobilize millions of voters across the country,” Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said in a statement.
The campaign said about $62 million of its total went directly to the campaign, while about $81 million was raised for the Democratic National Committee and state parties.
Unfortunately a lot of veterans will still vote for him; especially the elderly vets. I only saw clips of Trump speaking today, but it appears that he was getting applause.

While walking down the street one day a Corrupt Senator was tragically hit by a car and died.
His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.
“Welcome to heaven,” says St. Peter. “Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem.
We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we’re not sure what to do with you.”
“No problem, just let me in,” says the Senator.
“Well, I’d like to, but I have orders from the higher ups. What we’ll do is
have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity.”
“Really?, I’ve made up my mind. I want to be in heaven,” says the Senator.
“I’m sorry, but we have our rules.”
And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and
he goes down, down, down to hell.
The doors open and he finds
himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a
clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other
politicians who had worked with him.
Everyone is very happy and in evening dress.
They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce
about the good times they had while getting rich at
the expense of the people.
They played a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and the finest champagne.
Also present is the devil, who
really is a very friendly guy who is having a good
time dancing and telling jokes. They are all having such a good
time that before the Senator realizes it, it is time to go.
Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator
rises.
The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens in heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him, “Now it’s time to visit heaven…
So, 24 hours passed with the Senator joining a group of contented souls moving
from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time
and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter
returns.
“Well, then, you’ve spent a day in hell and another in heaven.
Now choose your eternity.”
The Senator it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, reflects for a minute, then he answers: “Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell.”
So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to
hell…
Now the doors of the elevator open and he’s in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage.
He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and
putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above.
The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulders.
“I don’t understand,” stammers the Senator.
“Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and
clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank
champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there’s just a
wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What
happened?”
The devil smiles at him and says, “Yesterday we were campaigning,
Today, you voted..”

Morning, Alycee. Trump did such a “great” job insulting Harrisburg by calling it a ‘bombed out city,’ I’m sure he’ll outdo himself in Philly. Good luck getting trump votes out of the city–he’s going to be trounced there.
Della Reese was a co-star with the late Redd Foxx on the TV show ‘The Royal Family’ and she talks about what Redd had to deal with leading up to his death from the producers of the show. At the 2:48 mark she tells the story of reactions from people after it was pronounced Redd was dead from a heart attack. What the producers said was absolutely sick, low, and cold hearted. Hear for yourself
Even now, after all that’s happened, most political reporters find themselves either unwilling or unable to identify Donald Trump’s tirades as hate speech.
.
.
This isn’t normal. It was normal in the Jim Crow South, as it was in Eastern Europe for centuries. It’s not normal in America in the 21st century. And yet it’s become normalized. It’s a mammoth failure of our political press. But it’s not just theirs, ours. It’s a collective failure that we’re all responsible for. By any reasonable standard, Donald Trump’s speech on Wednesday night should have ended the campaign, as should numerous other rallies where Trump has done more or less the same thing for months. There’s a reason why the worst of the worst, the organized and avowed racists, were thrilled and almost giddy watching the spectacle. But it has become normalized. We do not even see it for what it is. It’s like we’ve all been cast under a spell. That normalization will be with us long after this particular demagogue, Donald Trump, has left the stage. Call this what it is: it is hate speech, in its deepest and most dangerous form.
Love Joe and Barack!
They have really been a great team for this country and for the world. In stark contrast to Bush and Cheney (where Cheney was actually in control).
They have shown how productive and powerful real teamwork can be, for sure. God bless them & their families for these wonderful years of service!
Love VP Joe ❤
Hi GF. Hope you are well. We are so blessed to have such a dynamic duo as President and Vice President. They should be poster children for how to run an administration.
Hi Jackie. The two of them always bring a smile to my face. They genuinely are “brothers” for life. .
