    The campaign doled out $773,000 to reimburse various Trump-owned companies for expenses. In all, nearly $7.7 million has been paid out to Trump companies or Trump family members to cover campaign expenditures, filings show.

    …he continued to pay one former staffer: ousted campaign manager Corey Lewandowski received his regular $20,000 monthly fee on July 6 – two weeks after he was jettisoned and had been hired by CNN as a political commentator.

      GM LH.

      Partisan GOP (not DJT’s white nationalist base) have known all along that DJT is not “conservative,” but is a manipulator to fire up his “white nationalist base” to build his Trump brand and line the pockets of his friends and family.

      Everything he says and does between now and Nov 8 is brand management (as it has been since last year).

    is there ANYONE here who can stand the “new campaign manager” Kellyanne Conway;

    sometimes the names you have are reflected in your character and actions => she is one dedicated con-woman

      I agree Linda, but to many of those R women she may be well received. I find her as odious as Trump, and did even before she was in her new position. But I’ve given up estimating the intelligence of Republican voters. I always give them too much credit.

      August 21, 2016 at 11:22 am

      Another fraud. He sure knows how to pick ’em!

      Donald Trump’s new campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, claimed Sunday that the GOP presidential nominee does not personally insult people.

      George Stephanopoulos, host of ABC News’ “This Week,” showed Conway a series of video clips of her attacking Trump while she was supporting Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) during the primary. (Conway ran a super PAC backing Cruz’s candidacy.)

      In one of the excerpts, Conway said she was not backing Trump because he “hurls personal insults.”

      Asked whether she stood by her remarks, Conway interpreted the question to be about whether she continues to be against personal insults as a matter of principle, not whether she maintains her criticism of Trump.

      “I do and the reason is I don’t like when people hurl personal insults,” she said. “That will never be my style, I’m a mother of four small children, it would be a terrible example for me to feel otherwise.”

      Conway went on to deny that Trump engages in that behavior despite her past assertions to the contrary.

      These people are crazy. How many more days until this mess is over? Morning everyone:)

    Good morning TOD! What a great Olympics weekend. Soooo proud of all of our young women who have been showing their stuff! And especially proud of our black women who are a visible rebuke to the DT nonsense. While it may be a long time-if ever-before the underlying racism in this country dies, his message has far less resonance among many who have had an incredible contingent of highly successful black Americans in our living rooms for the last 8 years. I’ve often thought this is PBO’s true legacy—bringing the success of so many AAs to the forefront during his tenure which works on the subconscious level of white Americans. Trump’s odious comments simply do not resonate with anyone who has paying any degree of attention this last decade.

    On a more somber note, 5 months from today we will wake up to a new President occupying the Oval Office. The time is slipping away far too quickly. I wonder if the Obamas will do XMas in Hawaii this year or spend the last one in the WH and wait for the January vacation.

    In the meantime, I intend to enjoy every day he remains in office.

    Hope everyone has a great Sunday! Thanks Nerdy for all you do to keep us going here.

      What a FIND!!!

      OMGosh, the two Jons describing their snit about having to wait outside PBO’s office as he’s ON THE PHONE with the General in Afghanistan giving the final orders for the bin Laden raid!!!

      Could you love PBO and his TEAM any more?

      Thank you so much, a real cleanser from the non-stop DJT speculation that fuels Twitter now.

      August 21, 2016 at 12:24 pm

      like so many I have listened, these two guys really, really, …, really love their former boss, PBO and are proud of it;

      that reaction and total dedication of people who are former employees speaks volumes about the person who was their former boss;

      I must say that I re-learned something about PBO in this clip=>

      PBO was focused on how the need to arouse a quick joke and smiles could potentially affect the raid Abbottabad by reminding Bin Laden that he was then still in the sights of the US forces and intelligence community, that was determined to eliminate him;

      Ps. I hope that Team Clinton can get around to reminding voters that even as PBO was focused on protecting the world from a mass murderer, the fake “Law and Order” candidate was demanding to see his long form birth certificate

    Keep in mind that none of this discussion about racism/white supremacy/white privilege is for black folks…it is for white folks…Dan Rather hit it on the heard when he said that Trump’s audience was not Black People but for gullible white folks who want to clear their conscience as they pull the lever for Trump…

    99.9% of Black people are not voting for Trump….and no amount of retreading his racist message will change that…and by the way…Trump knows this…

    i often wonder if the media is so caught up in their own racism that they cannot or refuses to see it…or that they are part of larger plan to undermine America…but i suppose it does not really matter…what matters is that #WeThePeople…will not allow it…#ExpectUs

      Let’s not forget Bernie is another candidate who has now set the precedent for NOT releasing tax returns. What exactly is hidden in his returns? Oh the hypocrisy of his supporters, he is the candidate who supposedly is so open and trustworthy as opposed to Hillary who has released 38 years of returns.

          Yeah, pf, but I’m wondering what we can do. Just read up a bit on the FEC – a 6 member panel appointed by Presidents, and they pretty much split their decisions along party lines. I could only determine one was a definite Democrat, 3 definite Republicans, and 2 I can’t quite determine. Many of their meetings are closed, according to their website. And they only act when presented with a complaint.

    I was having lunch with a coworker on Friday in the cafeteria when another coworker came and set with us. The tv as on Fox News in the cafeteria and the coworker that joined us said that she hopes Trump pulls through because we can’t survive four years of Hillary. Me and the coworker have worked together for over ten years and I never knew about her politics. But I should have known because her ex-husband who is also a coworker is a gun enthusiast (nut). You never know a person until you know their politics.

        I agree. It’s caused me to rethink my initial belief that the many women I work with, who plan to vote for Trump, are really that intelligent after all. I keep my distance now because they are also anti-women in many ways which I don’t get at all.

    • 95 catrst
      August 21, 2016 at 2:16 pm

      This is really hitting me these days. Also its not so much that a person has another view of the issues, comes at it from a different point of view but if they accept the unacceptable. I don’t know if I can really make it plainer than that. This is shaping my choices going forward. I think I can now judge if someone is comfortable with lying to get what they want, desires power over others, is self centered, lacks compassion, is paranoid, lacks discernment, is malignantly insecure and comfortable with bullying, is entitled, is dissembling, and the list goes on. Its not so much about GOP versus some other designation. Its something much more basic than that.

  38. August 21, 2016 at 1:24 pm

    As with all disasters…tragedies…anything with a negative conotation, I hear that DT is now trying to make PBO responsible for the flooding in LA.

        And so Conway is blaming the 58% unemployment rate on Hillary? How is that possible? She is not even in office. So here is the first obvious indication that the Repubs will blame everything on her, if elected, just as they have on POTUS for the last 7 1/2 yrs.

    Saw my first Trump sign in my neighborhood. Wondered when that would happen. This neighborhood is totally a mixed bag- every race literally. Interesting about this sign though- is that this is the same house (don’t know these neighbors, as they live around the corner from me) that had a Bernie sign up during the primaries. So, hmm.
