    Good morning everyone…My heart goes out this morning to 57 and her family for the passing of Pearl early this morning. All of the animal lovers here, know this pain. Hugs to all of you. She’s ok now….as the days pass, here’s hoping that thoughts of her will not bring sadness, but a smile to your lips, remembering the joys she gave you. Much love.

      My heart dropped when I read about Pearl….((((57)))) I know the pain from losing a loving pet but knowing she was at your side and went peacefully next to you as she felt the comfort of being with her long time human companion/family who loved her. Prayers to you and your family.

      I’m so so sorry 57. I’ve been there, as I told you the other day. I know how painful it is (still is!). Big big hug to you {{{{{{57}}}}}

                  School wasn’t so bad, and I didn’t use cliffnotes because my thinking was why even bother with cliffnotes if I wasn’t interested in the material. And yet some how I graduated from high school, my class had over five hundred students in it and I graduated in the top one hundred. Then I went to work on wall street and here I am.

    Ex-SEAL to pay $6.6 million in case over book on Osama bin Laden raid.

    The former Navy SEAL who wrote a book about his role in the raid that killed Osama bin Laden will pay the government more than $6.6 million for violating non-disclosure agreements and publishing without getting the document cleared by the Defense Department, according to federal court documents.

    Matt Bissonnette, who wrote “No Easy Day” under the pseudonym Mark Owen, will give the U.S. government all profits and royalties from the book or movie rights. The proceeds already total more than $6.6 million. He will have four years to pay the bulk of that.

    The payments were outlined in settlement documents filed in U.S. District Court in Virginia.

    According to the settlement, Bissonnette also has 30 days to pay $100,000 from the proceeds of presentations he gave using slides that were not approved by the department.

    The book triggered a Justice Department probe, including claims it contained classified material. Bissonnette had signed non-disclosure agreements during his service as a SEAL, and he took part in a number of highly secret operations including the bin Laden raid.

    http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2016/08/donald-trump-olympics-twitter-214176

    , Trump doesn’t seem to be interested in the Olympics at all: As Team USA shatters world records and scores win after historic win, Trump’s Twitter account, his favored megaphone, has been virtually mum. Since the one awkwardly worded meme he blasted out to his feed on August 5, with his own photo in front of an American flag, Trump has tweeted about the Olympics exactly zero times. He’s attacked the media, retweeted compliments to Donald Trump, pumped up his rallies. Not a word about the events that people are tuning into every night.
    Story Continued Below

    Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, is seizing the opportunity to ride the wave of these feel-good Olympics. Since the start of the Rio Games, the Clinton campaign has unleashed a steady flow of social media messages congratulating the athletes and embracing their stories. And she has deliberately piled on by peppering the Olympics broadcast commercial breaks with the same brutal ad, over and over—the one that shows Trump being ridiculed on Letterman for making his clothing lines overseas.
    Why has Trump hit the mute button on the Olympics, while Clinton has pumped up the volume? There’s a good reason for that, and a surprising one. The spectacle of America vanquishing its global rivals is—ironically, amazingly—utterly terrible for the “America First” candidate.

    He’s a fraud.

    He’s a fraud…Continued/

    http://www.politicususa.com/2016/08/20/republicans-reeling-investigation-exposes-trump-foreign-bank-owned-fraud.html

    The evidence is mounting that Donald Trump isn’t as rich as he claims as an investigation into his business holdings revealed twice as much debt as he reported on his federal disclosure forms.

    The New York Times looked into Trump’s business interests and found a mountain of debt:

    But an investigation by The New York Times into the financial maze of Mr. Trump’s real estate holdings in the United States reveals that companies he owns have at least $650 million in debt — twice the amount than can be gleaned from public filings he has made as part of his bid for the White House. The Times’s inquiry also found that Mr. Trump’s fortunes depend deeply on a wide array of financial backers, including one he has cited in attacks during his campaign.

    For example, an office building on Avenue of the Americas in Manhattan, of which Mr. Trump is part owner, carries a $950 million loan. Among the lenders: the Bank of China, one of the largest banks in a country that Mr. Trump has railed against as an economic foe of the United States, and Goldman Sachs, a financial institution he has said controls Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee, after it paid her $675,000 in speaking fees.

Print out the one for your state, make dozens of copies, and hand them out everywhere you can think of. Then send this web address to others you know throughout the country. Of course, with his “new: campaign team Trump simply had to show his ugly mug in LA yesterday. But the photo op was perfect, PLAYDOH! Just what the residents of LA need. Reminds me of the Romney response after Hurricane Sandy, he had a donation for used clothes and canned goods. The Red Cross said “NO thanks, what we need is money.” Do any of these Republicans have either a heart or head? Never seen such utterly clueless people.

    EDITORIAL: THE OBAMA STANDARD
    By The Martha’s Vineyard Times – Aug 17, 2016

    …The past eight years have brought much to be grateful for. For us, the comparison of the debasing and debilitating 2016 election and the Obama standard of intellectual as well as inclusive democratic political leadership is instructive.

    There is still much left to work on, but there are many concrete accomplishments to admire in the Obama presidency: steering out of the financial debacle of 2008 accompanied by steady economic and employment recovery, health care reform, tax reduction for all but the top 5 percent, and leadership in securing the full rights of members of the LGBT community among them.

    These legislative victories have been hard won, and have depended on infrequent cooperation from congressional Republicans. President Obama has used his extraordinary intellectual gifts and temperament to grasp and embrace complexity; his remarkable discipline keeps his, and our, concentration on the prize rather than the soundbite. …

    trying not to attack the children of presidential candidates is something most of us try to avoid;

    but, lawd, these children of the hatemonger & Conman seem to have picked up the obnoxious and greedy qualities of their despicable father and seem to emulate him in their own business ventures => trying to use and rob anyone who can be convinced to part with their hard-earned money;

        Agree that singling out a politician’s child who is just living their own lives is not productive and might be vindictive.

        But Ivanka, Don Jr and Eric Trump are pubic faces for Trump and are fair game, especially since DJT appears to trust only his children, Roger Ailes and Roger Stone. So yes, in DJT’s case the children are just as relevant as he is in DJT’s so-called campaign (which in reality is his form of brand/self promotion and scam).

        Yes, yes, wholeheartedly agree.

        Didn’t have time to elaborate when I posted this, but was thinking about some of the absolutely horrific circumstances that have been in the news recently — all because of a person was detained but had no money for bail.

        Can’t remember why Sandra Bland wasn’t released from custody before her “suicide” (will go to my grave believing that’s not what happened), but remember Kalief Browder’s suicide? Kalief Browder spent three years on Rikers Island without being convicted of a crime. He had been arrested in the spring of 2010, at age sixteen, for a robbery he insisted he had not committed.

        Absolutely disgraceful. Our lawmakers and local officials seem to be incapable of moving the arc of justice even incrementally — as RanMan reminds us daily… Thank God Barack Obama Is Our President.
