      From tabling, that is. Lots of people were very grateful to us for being there, and several even wanted us to move our table to a much more visible place. Got some good signups for volunteering, and everyone exclaimed yes they were registered and will vote, when we asked. They all said it was too important an election not to.

      Judith, how did your organizational meeting go?

        We had about 30 fired up veterans eager to get home phone banks going again. It was very energizing!

          So glad to hear that! I love how a person can virtual phone bank from wherever they are as long as they have a laptop and cell phone. And reception of course.

          I have a friend who makes calls for at least one hour every day of the week. She is totally committed to electing Hillary and says nothing else in her life except eating and sleeping is as important. The virtual phone bank makes it so easy for her to do.

            We like doing happy hour potluck phone banks in people’s homes, but some folks have trouble hearing when there are multiple conversations going on. I don’t have a smart phone, but I hear there is an app for a virtual Hillary campaign office that makes it simple to call from anywhere you find convenient.

    Dear Chips Hope you took the whole weekend to celebrate your Bday.
    Happy Sunday to all. I feel this election is like the novel by Stephen King, The Stand. We are battling for the soul of our nation.While President Obama will always be number one in my heart, I support Hillary and Tim.The more I see of Hillary and Tim interacting with people the better I feel about our chances. Thank you everyone for all you do to make our nation better.

      Boy would my kids really howl at me if I had an Obama dress! They already think I am over the top. My last bday gift from my youngest daughter was paying a commission to an artist to do the Hope Obama picture in string art.

      why is a country with so many missing in action?

      is it due to concentrating most of the resources on sports that are not in the Olympics?

      Wow. That’s all you need to know about the moral fiber ( or lack thereof) of this man. From this piece…

      t is now history what happened to Trump’s casinos after I left the organization: All three of his properties eventually were routed through the bankruptcy courts as a result of his mismanagement. I ended up writing a book about my experience with Trump, “Trumped!: The Inside Story of the Real Donald Trump — His Cunning Rise and Spectacular Fall.”

      Yes, it was a “tell-all” book. But it was written to set the record straight on lies Trump told about three of my friends and fellow executives who tragically died in a helicopter accident. You see, Donald Trump tried to blame these men, after their deaths, for his lack of experience, basic business acumen and greed. I owed it to my friends to not let him get away with it.

        How could someone not grow as a human being over all that time?

        Back then, Donald Trump’s ego was as big as it is today. He was short-tempered, he was judgmental without facts, he judged people based on their clothes or the color of their skin. His attention span was so small it was almost impossible to have a strategic conversation with him about the business. He would say something one minute and change his mind the next. He would demand something be done one way, only to criticize that directive later, never taking blame. He never said he was sorry for anything. He was crude and sexist toward women, he was a philandering fool publicly. He would humiliate his wife without a second thought.

        Donald Trump was humorless, cold and selfish. He would hurt the little guy if he could see even the slightest gain for himself. He refused to pay his bills, he sued anyone who got in his way. He threatened people like myself for telling the truth.

    Because the stuff coming out about him and Russia (by way of Ukraine) is astounding, I don’t know what will happen with DT’s campaign manager Paul Manafort;

    what I know is that if I were him and his boss, I would really be worried. one reason for worry is because of the many people in the US intelligence & defense community who have come out so strongly against DT.

    from what I have heard/rad, a good number of these intelligence–defense-connected people have rarely is ever spoken out so forcefully before about any candidate.

    furthermore, with “revenge being a dish best served cold”, the previous DT campaign manager, who was fired and now works for cnn, is pushing the story …. a case of pouring gasoline onto the fire;

    … all i can say is : watch this space….

      A social event is something we all engage in, visiting with friends and family. A ‘social event’ is an outing laced with innuendo and sinister implications. Like saying that the president’s staff is distorting the truth, when it is the reporter distorting the truth. A year from now will they still be slinging mud at him?

    Trump down to 27% in one poll. 49 more to go.

    Hillary Clinton’s campaign must be in an Empire State of mind.

    The Democratic presidential nominee is absolutely crushing Donald Trump in New York, a new poll released Monday showed, refuting any suggestion the mogul has ever made that he could run a competitive race in the reliably blue state.

    Clinton beat Trump in a two-way race 57%-27%, the latest Siena Research Institute poll found. In a four-way matchup, Clinton still destroyed Trump 50%-25%, with another combined 16% saying they’d vote for another candidate.
