And thank you NW for bringing in the best of the best. Missing you Ms Chips Hugs & love. Also to yardarm – thinking of you
Hi VC & jacqueline – beautiful winter’s day in my world – temp around 20C (68F) – show day holiday – sun shining – birds singing. Sometimes life is good.
Hmmm, TS, am sitting here wondering how you can call 20°C ‘winter’? Giving winter a bad name, if you ask me. 😀 😀 I’ll be sure to remember this false advertising when *my* winter rolls around. Enjoy every moment of your day though!
Congrats, VC! Fervently hoping GOP Senators’ hubris over obstructing the Supreme Court nomination of Justice Merrick Garland will cost them the Senate.
We’re just now seeing the women’s gymnastics team performing here on the West Coast. I watch these young women with their bodies hurtling through the air with perfect control and discipline, with such powerful athleticism and I am amazed at their courage and skill.
Earlier in the day someone posted the women’s gymnastics team won the gold. I mistakenly thought it was broadcast while I was at the dentist and annoyed I missed it. I am in Oregon and watching it now. I did not miss it. Forgot about time lapse. Have not seen M Phelps race yet, but read a post on here awhile ago. Guess if I want to check this blog out results will not be a surprise for the evening Olympics broadcast.
Good morning, rikyrah and everyone else. 🙂 I have something to look forward to today. Going to the Barter Theater tonight to see Momma Mia! Will have a wonderful dinner at a fantastic restaurant in Abington. We are blessed to live close enough to take advantage of The Barter and all it and the area has to offer. What a treat–to get my mind off what is happening in this campaign.
First let me say this, I know what Presidential look like……President Obama. Second, that letter is very nice of G.H. Bush. Republican politicians have no one to blame for Donald J. Trump but themselves. They are to blame for that racists nasty, mean spirited base of theirs. If they had stood up to the Tea Party and said we disagree with President Obama, but he is our President and he deserve respect, but the Republican Party didn’t do that.
Bella, you’re absolutely right. Republicans showed zero respect for President Obama and deserve neither respect or sympathy for their current dilemma. They sowed the wind and are now reaping the whirlwind and I hope they feel the full, devastating effect of what they’ve done.
jackiegrumbacher, can you think of one Republican politician who went before the camera and said that President Obama was born in this country, and those who say he wasn’t should stop it. When Trump was on tv everyday asking for POTUS birth certificate, they remain silent.
That’s true bella. I think Joyce Karam is missing the elephant in the room – which is the RACISM of the GOP that was allowed to fester because their intended target was Barack Obama and the people who voted for him.
PBO would have never gotten a letter like that from ANY GOP official. Because even those who supposedly had a shred of decency sacrificed their integrity to “go along to get along” with the most vile and bigoted elements of their party, never stopping to think that this bigotry would come back to bite them when they least expected.
–Not ONE of them stood up to Sarah Palin – in fact “hero maverick” John McCain stood by her and defended her to the very end.
–Not ONE of them objected to their fellow congressmen who vowed to obstruct and block our President on the day of his inauguration
–Not ONE of them denounced Donald Trump when he questioned our President’s legitimacy and birthplace.
–Not ONE of them stood up to the nastiness of the Tea Party – in fact they ran candidates for the legislative branch of government who fully associated themselves with this openly racist movement.
—Not ONE of them decried the GOP who consistently failed to do their jobs and had the country on the edge of brinkmanship year after bloody year.
–Not ONE of them challenged the NRA after multiple mass shootings, including the almost fatal shooting of their own fellow congresswoman Gabby Giffords – simply because PBO was for sensible gun control and they felt their party had to be against it.
Yes, we have the receipts….and EVERY single GOP official, former or current who stood by silently while all this was going on IS GUILTY. I don’t care what they did when they were in office 20-30 years ago when Barack Obama was not President or on the ballot as a candidate.

Three months from the presidential election, and one day after his running mate promised “specific policy proposals for how we rebuild this country at home and abroad,” Americans find themselves asking whether Donald Trump has called for the assassination of Hillary Clinton.
On Tuesday at a rally in North Carolina, Mr. Trump falsely charged, as he has before, that “Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish, the Second Amendment.” Then he added: “If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know.”
Directly behind him, a supporter’s jaw dropped. Afterward, Mr. Trump’s campaign issued an utterly mystifying statement about the “power of unification,” suggesting that Mr. Trump was referring to the political power of Second Amendment supporters, and was not advocating violence. The National Rifle Association, which has endorsed Mr. Trump, concurred with his statement on Supreme Court justices and did not specifically address the rest of his remarks.
…
Seldom, if ever, have Americans been exposed to a candidate so willing to descend to the depths of bigotry and intolerance as Mr. Trump. That he would make Tuesday’s comment amid sinking poll numbers and a wave of Republican defections suggests that when bathed in the adulation of a crowd, Mr. Trump is unable to control himself.
Morning. I hope there are high levels meetings today in the Secret Service about redoubling Hillary Clinton’s protection. Trump is creating the atmosphere of an election in a banana republic where violence is the way to achieve power. He needs to confront a real threat to his continued candidacy or worse if he doesn’t stop with the incitement to harm Hillary.
Hi. 🙂
Strolled in to an open door and an empty room?
Hi CC, ❤ U.
Hi, VC! Good to see you! (Hi, Chips and Nerdy!)
And that’s the way our President gets it done … quietly and expertly, day after day, year after year. #ThanksObama
Paul Ryan says he’s going to try to “restore the optimism” in this country. WTF?
hahahahaha – wtf about covers it
In better news:
JO’B, does that mean he’s resigning? That would certainly increase my optimism and if he took his crazy caucus with him, I’d be jumping for joy.
Oh you painted the prettiest picture there, jackieG!
And thank you NW for bringing in the best of the best. Missing you Ms Chips Hugs & love. Also to yardarm – thinking of you

Slight nip in the air 🙂 – but have to admit – we are having the warmest ever winter – but no climate change.
NW, you are my ‘shero’ for keeping each Post about all things Obama, the Administration, or something equally informative {{{hugs}}} ❤
Thanks, GGail.
Congrats, VC! Fervently hoping GOP Senators’ hubris over obstructing the Supreme Court nomination of Justice Merrick Garland will cost them the Senate.
Fingers crossed, Judith!
Ryan Solen won the Democratic primary in Paul Ryan’s district. Let’s support his candidacy:
Yes!!!!
Our President will leave this legacy.
It’s a beautiful thought, isn’t it?

Totally agree, Bob, and we can add a few others! Have a good rest!
#Dubnation out in full effect….

Márta Károlyi’s final Olympics as coach:
FINAL FIVE will go down as the greatest ever..name revealed after winning gold is because next Olympics there will only 4 per teams in 2020

Folks been agitating for online voting in my world. Yesterday the online census was hit with multiple “denial of service” attacks and had to be shut down. Seems to have shut down any talk about online voting.

Lot of mansplaining going on about the census that wasn’t.

Good Morning TODVille.
I know my POTUS will leave a gracious and thoughtful letter to his successor.

Good morning TOD 🙂
I’m thrilled to see Iraqi women among these leaders. And they aren’t just tokens, either.
Good Morning!
Take care everyone … {{{{{Chips}}}}} …..
Republican men ought to be concern, cause this is not about polices, this is about whether or not Donald J. Trump have any dam sense.
The Morning clown show has just gotten a reality check.
