      Dear Yardarm756
My heart broke into tiny pieces just now, on reading about the passing of your son. I cannot imagine the sorrow and loss you and all your family and friends must bear at this time. What courage and strength and love he showed in putting his whole heart into saving the life of his dear one. I am in awe of the love and generosity he showed. JOb’s poem helped the tears flow. I will be thinking of you and everyone who loved this great good man, from now going forward. Candles lit, prayers rolling, blessings called down. Take good care and walk in love and good memories. I cannot imagine the regatta of ships with flags flying and trumpets sounding as this good man sails through the Pearly Gates to meet our Maker.

A head has rolled over the obscene Twitter post by the Riverside County GOP in California showing a bloody hangman along with the phrase “I’m Ready for Hillary.”

Nathan Miller admitted he published the menacing tweet and agreed to step down from him paid position with California’s State Board of Equalization, a spokesman for the board confirmed to the Daily News on Friday.

“He had a lapse in judgment. He expressed his regret and offered his resignation, which we accepted,” said Russell Lowery, chief deputy to Board of Equalization member Diane Harkey.

I bet some will take issue with is usage that somehow everyone “should” support because he is. He “should” have asked them to support her. POTUS asked us to rally behind HRC in the say way we did him.

Bernie unfortunately missed the mark on this one. Now some will just dig in deeper because of the way he phrased that.

“Heat radiates off the sun-cooked track at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California. A coach barks at a woman running hurdles. Pole-vaulters try and try and try again to throw themselves higher and higher and higher, as if no height is high enough. A mile or so to the east, five, then 10, then 20 parachuters jump from a plane. Their screaming descents halt when thin, but strong, strips of nylon open above them. They float peacefully to the ground. Carlin Isles arrives carrying a backpack and wearing his rugby kit—earlier on this glorious June day, the U.S. rugby team held its first practice at the training complex in the run-up to Rio de Janeiro for the Summer Olympics. Isles sets down his backpack and puts on running spikes. In addition to being on the Olympic rugby team, Isles qualified for the Olympic trials in the 100-meter dash. He hoped to become a two-sport Olympian but dropped that plan when the trials conflicted with his rugby practice schedule. As tough of a decision as that was for Isles—he has dreamed of being an Olympic runner for years—it was probably for the best. He didn’t have much of a chance to make the team, never mind win a medal. Isles, though, is the face of a U.S. rugby team helping to usher in the sport’s return to the Olympics for the first time since 1924. The U.S. squad is a strong medal contender, in no small part thanks to Isles’ speed and elusiveness.

…A tattoo across his chest says “Focus,” and if there’s one word that summarizes his athletic approach, that’s it. He has known he was fast since he was eight years old and ran by everyone in peewee football, and he has devoted his life to getting faster. Since middle school, he has studied running the way architects study building construction, reading books, practicing endlessly and devoting himself to next-level workouts. What is he running for? His life, both literally and metaphorically…That was true, his friends and family say, even in the midst of a difficult childhood. Isles was born in Akron, Ohio. He has only met his birth father once. On the last day he saw his birth mother, he and Tambra were playing outside when police swarmed into the yard. His mother was arrested on drug charges and, Isles says, put in a “paddy wagon.”He and his sister were put in the back of a police car. Before they left, he jumped out of the back of the police car, picked a dandelion off the ground, ran to the paddy wagon and gave it to his mother. That’s the last time he saw her….continued”

The First Family will be on vacation until August 20, and my MSM twitter feed is already 95% about Trump.

Now add Libertarians and HRC email drumbeat to the mix… it will basically be devoid of news until PBO, VP and FLOTUS join HRC’s campaign.

MSM soooo want no candidate to achieve the 270 threshold, thereby having this election decided by Paul Ryan.

Don’t really want to hear about the Libertarians and Jill Stein — they’ll be occupying the 5% of my twitter feeds shortly.

I wish the generalities and persuasive tactics used in sales and politics would be routinely taught in school with critical thinking skills. Donald being an expert con artist and knowledgable sales person not only knows all these tactics, but has learned to lie and manipulate expertly.

Narcissistic sociopaths PROJECT their bad onto others. It’s textbook, and Republicans are the best at it ever, especially trolls like Trump because he cannot fathom that he’s capable of making a mistake, being wrong about anything, or being a giant bag of dicks.

He was told by his “team” to stop talking about self & start attacking Hillary. The only attack he knows is to act like a school yard bully. He doesn’t know or understand Hillary’s actions and policies so he makes it personal. This is no way to campaign & no way to win.

I equate it to the blitz in London. Hitler got mad because one of his cities got bombed – so instead of bombing the military bases he retaliated by bombing London – a really bad tactic – allowing the RAF to continue fighting.

It is so obvious he knows nothing outside of his small power tower. Knowing history allows one to not repeat the worst of it.

The US reputation – outside of the US – is being demolished by Trump. In past times much of the story could be hidden (the British were able to hide for years the relationship between Edward VIII and his American divorcee) Current communications has everyone hearing Trump – in real time. Seeing & hearing the people who attend his rallies is frightening, that he probably will lose the election does not allow much comfort. These people will remain and with the media, will attempt to discredit Pres Clinton every day of her term.

I misspoke – I thought I said – when Hillary wins. He be lucky to get the base 27%. I understand that the massive US majority are not giving up on their country – but she will have much work to do shoring up world wide relationships. Much as we adore Pres Obama, the rhetoric of Trump and his supporters is generating much negativity outside of the US.

Of course. And no doubt she will do the work. (Notice I’ve swung totally over to her court, from where I was a year ago! We simply must rally round her, because the alternative is that we’re all doomed.)

We just went through almost 8 years of seeing how low-life right-wingers and all the other bigots treated our President. It was a national and international disgrace. Those of us who love him could barely hang on, myself included. He is the ONLY one who could have handled it, I am totally convinced of that.

NOTHING anybody throws at Hillary will match it, in my opinion. And I just happened to think of the response of women in the 1970s during the women’s movement (we lived through it) … it’s going to be women (left, right, and in between) who are going to beat back all the hateful rhetoric she’ll be asked to endure. Hard to believe now, but I think she’ll have a much easier time of it – she won’t be putting up with the tribalism part, “only” the gender part. (I’m getting torqued just thinking about that, of course.)

“We are women; hear us roar.”

                  Hang in there, 99.

It’s not in our genes to discuss politics – voting is compulsory, campaigns last 4 weeks & most vote by party. Everyone here loves PBO & if ever there is a negative said Mr 99 always says – watch it – she’s an Obamabot

But – I am scared that Trump is having impacts all over the world – and right here at home. Just voted in 4 RWNJs to our senate. Sigh – it will pass, I know it will pass.

A black woman called 911 because she was afraid of a police officer. A violent arrest followed.
    By Amy B Wang
    August 5 at 8:45 AM

Nervous and distraught, Earledreka White did the only thing she thought she could to allay her fears after being stopped by a police officer in Houston: She called 911 to report the traffic stop and asked for police backup.

White’s voice was so shaky that she stuttered when trying to give the emergency dispatcher their location, a medical plaza parking lot outside the Loop 610 near downtown Houston. Next to her stood an officer with Houston’s Metro Police Department, waiting while she made the call in the doorway of her sedan.

“He’s saying I crossed over a solid line and I did not,” White told the dispatcher. “I got out of the car to ask him what the offense was. He raised his voice at me and threatened to arrest me. So I’m really confused. And I would like another officer to come out here.

“My heart is racing. I’m really afraid.”

      GE Rikyrah.

This was the lead story this morning on MSN news (Windows 10 internet opens with a “start” page that I haven’t figured out how to delete which scrolls leading news).

Apparently the original article was in the Houston Chronicle — this is so wrong. This professional woman was in a PARKING lot — absolutely no reason to be treated this way — but as I’ve mentioned before, the only jury panel I’ve sat on was for “obstruction of justice” against a 21-year-old who had to be admitted to a hospital because of injuries sustained from sheriff’s chokehold (all involved were white).

Not all policemen are bullies, but those who are should be dismissed from the police force.

I am watching Trump’s WI rally. It is totally funny. He is looking down reading a script worst than my fifth grade low reading group. Once and awhile he looks up and ads in his own words like “Yes, big really, really big!” Then he will read a sentence using vocabulary he never uses at a very slow shaky gait. He poorly read his endorsements for Ryan, Ayotte, and even McCain. A pathetic reader!
