Hay Trump, you call that viciously attack. Check the last seven and a half years and see what President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama have had to deal with. But despite it all they are not tweeting back at someone every time things are said about them. They live by this motto, try it Donald J. Trump. “WHEN THEY GO LOW, WE GO HIGH.”

jaw dropping isn’t the part of it – HE doesn’t even support his own people – “I was not involved – I have my own ideas”
It would be a nightmare working for this fool – and good odds they won’t get paid – seems most of his staff have an ulterior motive wherein electing Mr Trump is a means to their ends.

Not only does she have to bear an unspeakable pain, she has to put up with being criticized by a sociopath who has sacrificed nothing. The GOP and the media that have enabled them to drag the country to this shameful point have committed treason. Every decent person should rise up, go to the ballot box to send them back under the rocks to be seen and heard from no more.

Hello friends, Sharing a story written by one of our TN delegates. He lives here in Knoxville and teaches at UT. It’s about a father and his 10-year old son from MN. Our delegate met the father on the bus and learned the story he shares in this article. The father fled Somalia; is an accountant. His son pushed him to join the caucus process, then work to become a delegate (for HRC). Read the story. It is uplifting and gives us hope for our future.

I had a dorm mom, don’t ask me how many years ago, who said it was important to always give certain people some extra rope, that those who were wrong, or bad or whatever, would eventually hang themselves without any effort on our part. We don’t have to do anything. Trump and his followers are destroying themselves.

A friend sent me a spiritual email this morning, and this paragraph caught my eye:

“The best way to respond, I realized, is to avoid the temptation to react. Stay calm, stay positive. Choose to have faith that basic human decency will prevail. Keep your practice strong, if you have one, Find the funny side of things. The dark must be confronted courageously, but it is counterproductive to allow ourselves to be drawn into a fight on its own terms.”

May you find some calming peace today GCL.

    Bullshitting liar

    http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2016/07/watch-trump-brag-of-speaking-to-vladimir-putin

On Wednesday, Donald Trump angrily told reporters that he had no connection to Russian President Vladimir Putin. “I have nothing to do with Putin,” he said. “I’ve never spoken to him. I don’t know anything about him other than he will respect me.”

But those comments contradict what he said in 2014, when he spoke at an event at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. During this appearance, he discussed US-Russian relations and claimed that he had talked to Putin during a recent visit to Moscow, where Trump held his Miss Universe pageant. Here’s what Trump told the Press Club audience:

Russia does not respect our country any longer. They see we’ve been greatly weakened, both militarily and otherwise, and he certainly does not respect President Obama. So what I would do—as an example, I own Miss Universe, I was in Russia, I was in Moscow recently and I spoke, indirectly and directly, with President Putin, who could not have been nicer, and we had a tremendous success. The show was live from Moscow and we had tremendous success there and it was amazing, but to do well, you have to get the other side to respect you, and he does not respect our president, which is very sad.

Trump campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks did not immediately respond to a request for comment about Trump’s claim that he has spoken to Putin.

        GE Don.

Manafort worked for Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovich (Ukraine President who fled to Russia during the #Euromaidan crisis which led to Russia annexing Crimea) and Interpol placed Yanukovych on its wanted list in January 2015.

        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Manafort

So yeah, Trump is a certified idiot, but Manafort is pulling the strings. Read the excerpt in @KevinMaddenDC’s tweet — Trump says he “wasn’t involved” in the RNC platform, others who work for him did.

Electing Trump President would effectively mean we’re electing Putin’s right hand man to be Trump’s Cheney — making all the decisions (in favor of Russia — withdrawing from NATO, doing whatever benefits Putin).

The description of the debates – “These extremely important civic education forums”

On one side of the 2016 debates will be extremely ignorant civic knowledge – I know more about US civics than Trump & I live in Australia!

      • 72 cd4biden
        July 31, 2016 at 6:47 pm

You know, 99, most of the entire world knows more about US civics than the citizens of the USofA. Except for those here who had to wait years and years, fill out form after form, wait some more, take a test, and finally become a citizen of this country, like the Khans. They also know more because they have lived in those other countries and know what a blessing this form of government is. And they cherish it.

And I am ashamed to say that everywhere I have traveled in the world, when I talk with the local residents, they know more about our economy, our school systems, politics, science, everything than I do, and I always thought I was pretty intelligent and well read.

          July 31, 2016 at 6:54 pm

Must admit – I have a laugh when so many in the US think their own constitutional amendments are valid in all countries across the globe.

Understanding civics in any country seems to be purely a matter of interest. We had only 2 or 3 lessons on our system of government in 4th grade, I became fascinated – so I learnt more. My daughter has not a clue – despite my best efforts. She has no interest at all other than the usual “all politicians are bad”. I try my best to correct the worst of the ill conceived ideas that she gets from wherever.

    July 31, 2016 at 3:45 pm

Good day TOD! Well, it has been quite the morning:-) I actually burst out laughing that Trump does not know that Putin invaded Ukraine. His lack of knowledge is mind boggling.

And I am so thrilled that the Khan family has no qualms about taking him and the entire GOP on for their support of him. I actually think they can turn some traditional GOP voters in a way that no Dem or Indie can. And as Don noted, that it is a Muslim family taking him down is about the sweetest thing ever.

All that said, I suspect this is going to be a 5 point election for Hillary, at most. The hatred for her amongst his supporters is incredibly intense. She will not turn any of them. The question is whether they will turn out and I suspect they will. As I noted yesterday from the Atlantic piece, this is their revenge against the “humiliation” of having to put up with a black guy in the WH, and they see a woman in that position as even more humiliating. Finally, as to the more traditional Republicans, in the end it may will be that quite a number of them simply do not vote for either presidential candidate rather than vote for Hillary. All of that leads to the conclusion it will NOT be a blow out but a tight race that we need to work for until the last ballot is counted. And this sounds silly, but do not hope that Trump completely implodes or quits before the election. Given the humiliation traditional Republicans feel, they would flock to the polls against Hillary if somehow they got a more traditional candidate on the ballot. Have no idea how that would work, but it is not something we want to see happen.

And just a gentle reminder, it is the last day of the month for fundraising so please give to her if you can. Even $5.00 helps.

      Foxfire,
I agree we should not hope Trump is replaced last minute. It would give R’s an excuse to vote for the GOP as well as those that do not like Hillary. It also would not give adequate vetting time for the replacement candidate who would push the policies we do not want.
