  14. July 26, 2016 at 6:56 pm

Michelle Obama, had a million dollar speech, and she brought the house down. A professional speech, a tell it like it is speech, a speech with humility, and sincerity, and warmth, and love for our country. I just love you First Lady 🙂 🙂

  15. July 26, 2016 at 6:56 pm

So Bernie turned it over to Hillary and then bounced. LOLz.

It is official that Hillary is the Democratic candidate!!!

And so glad Governor McAuliffe is speaking now. This man deserves a standing ovation for his work right now granting clemency to 200K ex felons in his state to restore their voting rights. So proud of his efforts.

Just think, if Hillary win in November and four years later it will be sixteen years since a white guy was President. And in those sixteen years just think how much this country will become a more perfect union.

    • 55 sherijr
      July 26, 2016 at 7:27 pm

and think of the new young leaders that will have grown into their own in those 16 yrs.. we will, hopefully, have a wide range of choices that aren’t just continuously narrowed down to a few white males.

You bet it is, AMK. I didn’t realize how much this would affect me. I’m so glad Hillary kept on going, her head held high, through all the arrows and insults that were aimed at her. She is an amazingly strong woman who is going to march forward into the presidency this November.

I know that this is Hillary Clinton’s moment…but there is an elephant in the room that has not been mentioned…and that is President Barack Obama…..

even the slogans that they use are his slogans….When Women Succeeds America Succeeds…
ans it would not be so irritating to me if DEMs had not run away from since he has been in office…and now with the TPP…

    • 70 Don
      July 26, 2016 at 7:29 pm

Prettyfoot, I feel you, I really really do. And I’m going to leave it at that, for now.

      July 26, 2016 at 7:29 pm

you’re not alone in those thoughts, pf.

    • 72 hopefruit2
      July 26, 2016 at 7:30 pm

Yup they use his slogans, however the Dems aren’t running away from him this election. He’s the final (and likely most anticipated) speaker of the night tomorrow, unlike Dubbya who was no where to be seen in the 2008 RNC convention. And there’s no question in my mind that he will be all over the campaign trail! think the TPP “disagreement” is overstated. The holdout Dems will come around once HRC gets elected.

      July 26, 2016 at 7:42 pm

It’s okay, because none of US will ever let any of THEM forget the audacity of hope and the grandeur of Barack and Michelle Obama.

    • July 26, 2016 at 8:10 pm

As always, you speak TRUTH prettyfoot. I am so glad Hillary finally decided to embrace, instead of running against, President Obama.

I’m a man and I feel it, let’s be honest Hillary had to eat a lot of shit. Since when does the victor have to be deferential to someone who up until an hour ago was still trying to get nominated.

This is a very big deal, nominating a woman for President. I am 76 years old, and I am thrilled. Growing up, this was not even a possibility…the only woman Senator was Margaret Chase Smith. and she was elected because she took over for her husband. I think it would be hard for any man to follow Barack Obama, and I know it would be nearly impossible for any woman to follow Michelle Obama in the White House. Therefore, I think it is a good thing that a woman will follow our beloved PBO, and that a man will be “first spouse.” He won’t be living in Michelle’s shadow, as any other first lady inevitably would, just like it was a hard job for even Elizabeth Warren to follow Michelle. We shall never see their like again. My 3/4 of a century have been revolutionary and exciting. Proud to be a Democrat, because we look and work for the future…..First president of color, first woman president……how backwards are the Republicans!!!!!

  38. July 26, 2016 at 7:34 pm

you can feel the President’s hands all over this convention…perhaps it is because so many of his campaign people are in Hillary’s campaign….

      July 26, 2016 at 8:57 pm

He is there & he is with her pf. It’s her moment, PBO would not want it to be anything else. His speech will be epic.
