It is quite possible that come November we might elect a man for President that owes the Russian mob a substantial amount of money; I’ve watched too many episodes of Law & Order to know that this might not end well for Trump.

Thanks Nerdy and good morning to you. If I wasn’t sick of Bernie before, I am now sick to death of him and his ridiculous supporters. This is the second time in history that the DEMS have made history, first with PBO’s nomination and now with Clinton as the first woman to top a major party. But it has been overshadowed every step of the way by Sanders, who refuses to acknowledge her victory and accomplishment. After all the years of watching grumpy old white men take the credit for women’s accomplishments, I am furious. This is HER week. And all the press talks about is Bernie, his supporters and emails. Some things just never change. Frankly, I don’t know how Clinton has the stamina to keep it up after decades of this shit.

Strategically, putting Bernie in the prime time slot is NOT a good move. While it may satisfy his supporters, in terms of a GE audience on national television, his message is not going to resonate with the center. He simply does not have the charisma of FLOTUS or even Elizabeth Warren. And he will just reinforce the the longstanding GOP meme of all that “free stuff”.

I remember how it felt the night America elected the fist African American for President, I thought a lot about history that night, I had all these thoughts running through my head. I said to myself “a black man will be running this country, damn”. I had all these emotions. And now we are about to have another historical first, I pray to god that Hillary gets elected. Just like Barack broke a lot of mental chains when he got elected, Hillary will break a lot of mental chains herself when she gets elected. I truly believe that this is a great thing for our country.

Morning everyone! Been out of the loop since last Friday…really have no idea what’s going on with this DWS business, Bernie business, or DT/Russian business…just trying to catch up and figure it all out. Was in LA for the weekend, helping a friend, and I just had tunnel vision for what we had to do there. I did, however, get into a bit of an argument with her. She is a Bernie fan…need I go on? At one point, she even told me that she saw DT’s point on something. WTF. I lost it. Honestly, I’m so glad to be at my boring home, living my boring life, with my boring family and my boring tasks:) Fucking high maintenance whiny ass hot mess. I just don’t have time to deal with and/or teach these supposed grown ups about the realities of these issues. Needless to say, it’s good to be home with my family and my Sadie:)

The other thing we had to deal with was the massive amount of smoke from the Sand Fire that is just blowing up in SoCal…the pics I took are amazing and as I looked out that plane window on my way home last night, I was thrilled to be out of there…stay safe people…dangerous fire….dangerous air pollution. Praying those hard working firefighters get a handle on this monster very soon.

I missed you guys:) GGail was so kind and checked in on me because she noticed that my big mouth hadn’t chimed in:) Love you, Gurl:) Thank you for checking in. I’m good!

Glad you’re back (((df))) and I feel your pain regarding the Bernie fan.

I went to a housewarming party on July 2 for a family member.. and got into trouble over a self proclaimed “right wing republican”. The man, an attorney talked non-stop all day & evening about his religion, his politics, his self-importance… and when he said “Obama ruined this country” and no one spoke up- I kind of lost it. Needless to say, I got kicked out of the party. These folks were all professionals: teachers, lawyers.. one guy worked for the state dept. and one for the treasury dept… no one said a word while this guy spread his bs. Anyhoo, I’m not ashamed at all 😉 First time I’ve been kicked out of anything, let alone a “family gathering”.

      • July 25, 2016 at 10:30 am

Girl, wear it as a badge of HONOR! The other’s silence was their consent/co-sign of the nonsense; they have been put on notice that you’ll not be intimidated for holding a divergent view! Congrats!

That part has been sad for me.. but I’m a believer in “this too shall pass” and that things are where they need to be for right now between us.

Been there done that, sherijr, but I did it at work. My boss had a private contractor come in to do bid for some work that needed to get done. The guy and his crew started in about President Obama going on vacation. long story short, I told that motherfucker to get the fuck out of here with that bullshit and that President Obama has taken less days than any of the previous Presidents. But I said it nicely though, well, what I thought was nice.

I didn’t start it, I was walking with the guy and showing him what needed to get done. After he finished his assessment he starts talking about politics, and I was like, “oh no”. When he started all the blood drained from my face, initially I didn’t say anything, but the more he stated talking the more I tried to ignore him. I felt like Bruce Banner trying to avoid getting angry, but the guy wouldn’t stop. Next thing you know, I’m laying behind a building somewhere half naked.

I didn’t get it either. This guy talked for HOURS about his politics/religion.. loudly. So it took me hours to speak up, too. I just didn’t think it was the place/time to have these convos.. folks drinking (me included); etc. But at one point I heard him in the next room saying this: I “jewed” them down, been “jewing” them. Who even freaking talks like that? Even then, I stayed away.. but it was later when we were all in the same room at the end of the night that I just couldn’t take it anymore.. should have gone home w/o being kicked out, lol. GM DF.

I am at my wits end because of the frat-boy #Bernouts disrupting the DNC and MSM’s obsession with covering every. single. outrageous, discourteous thing they do.

Of course I believe in free speech, but the real-world consequences of President Trump truly trumps their own narcissism.

Commented on the #SandFire yesterday here — as life-long Southern Californian and knowledgeable that fires are part of this area’s natural ecosystem, the most alarming thing to me is this:

      * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
the wind is blowing from the south and southwest — which, before #ClimateChange meant cool breezes from the ocean. In my 40+ years living in the LA area, devastating fires have been fueled by Santa Ana winds which blow from the desert (from the north and northeast, NEVER from breezes from completely opposite directions).

And it’s only July — before #ClimateChange, our fire seasons were in September and October.

          July 25, 2016 at 10:43 am

          GM MTM.

The wind’s blowing from the south, pushing the fire north to the high desert of Antelope Valley, which means that unless you live/work in the sparsely-populated horse country that stretches from the north San Fernando Valley to the southern portion of the Mojave Desert, you’re in no danger of the fire.

It’s also cooled off, think the #HeatDome over SoCal has thankfully lifted.

That is good to know. We have been so fortunate here in Montana. It’s been pretty cool until this week. It will be in the 90’s all week and dry. Although with this temperature we get late afternoon storms that are mostly wind and lighting. This is when the fires start. So we are hoping for a safe week.

If you carefully read her statement from yesterday, she states she will gavel in the convention, speak, and gavel it out. Big mistake. This is NOT what we need tonight. She was just booed at the FLORIDA delegate breakfast. Just a taste of what is to come if she sticks with this plan. from the article…

Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz was booed by pro-Bernie Sanders protesters on Monday during her remarks to delegates from her home state of Florida at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, a day after leaked e-mails showing party staffers favoring Hillary Clinton over Sanders during the primary drove the chairwoman to resign, effective at the end of the week’s gathering.

The protesters held pro-Sanders signs and others saying “e-mails” in an apparent reference to the leak. Wasserman Schultz attempted to speak over the jeers about a recent shooting in the state and about Florida’s importance as a battleground in the election, before she eventually left the stage.

LOL! DWS is the outgoing DNC Chair. She is not the Dem presidential or VP nominee. She is like the Michael Steele of the DNC right now. A bunch of Sanders’ protesters booing her PALES in comparison to Ted Cruz’ open dissing & non-endorsement of Donald Trump in his prime time speech; PALES in comparison to NEITHER of the former Republican Presidents, GOP Nominees (Romney & McCain), attending the GOP convention, let alone giving speeches. Calm is what my heart needs this morning.

On the news, I heard that Sanders delegates and the SUPREME LEADER himself will walk with demonstrators later this week in what has been already dubbed as the biggest demonstration of the two conventions. My heart aches.

Now we can appreciate even more HRC’s skilled at tampering the PUMAs after she lost the primaries to PBO in 2008. She brought over the majority of her supporters at the Convention. Only a few fools stayed home or voted for McCain. But we didn’t have the anger and resentment to put it mildly that we see in Sanders and his cult.

At the time where we needed to show seriousness, maturity, vision and substance, we could be derailed by malice from our own ranks, even though I believe that the SUPREME LEADER and most of his followers are not Democrats.

      • July 25, 2016 at 1:13 pm

One of the reasons Hitler ascended to power was the lack of unity between the centre, the centre-left and the left.

    Good Morning TODVille,

I haven’t watched TV since Friday because I wanted to stay away from negativity from the media. Yesterday’s announcement of the change in the DNC worried me, not because of the inappropriateness of the decision but because of the ammunition it gives to the Sanders cult and the media.

I so wish that the DNC would be flawless and able to present a serious vision to the American people who watched a clown show last week. But what do we have? If I am to believe Tea-NN, with the Alert below, are we going to have a stage fight as many in the Sanders have wished for when their SUPREME LEADER didn’t receive his coronation???

A meeting of Florida Democratic delegates descended into chaos when outgoing Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz took the stage today.
In the middle of her speech in Philadelphia, angry attendees began to chant, “Shame! Shame! Shame!”
Wasserman Schultz announced she would resign at the end of the Democratic National Convention, following the leak of emails that showed the party favoring presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton over primary opponent Bernie Sanders.
“We know that the voices in this room that are standing up and being disruptive, we know that is not the Florida that we know,” said Wasserman Schultz, who quickly exited after brief remarks.

    • July 25, 2016 at 10:55 am

Willing to bet $$$$ to donuts that the boos came from protesters/provocateurs who showed up vice from the actual delegates. The state delegates breakfast is usually open to whomever shows up.

Funny thing happened to me yesterday, I contacted one of my county/state party leaders for info on the PA breakfast and questioned if the extra credentials would be handed out via lottery (as in ’08 & ’12); this witch tried to play dumb — what breakfast? what lottery??? B^tc# please…

  26. July 25, 2016 at 10:29 am

“As Party Chair, this week I will open and close the Convention and I will address our delegates about the stakes involved in this election not only for Democrats, but for all Americans,” she continued.

White privilege at its finest, it must be nice to have an army of young white men ready to do your bidding without any hint of self-awareness. To be free from getting pulled over, to not having to worry about who gets elected because you have a built in force-field that protects you from yourself. To be able to fun protest from your keyboard while developing apps and not noticing that your office is about 99% percent white and male.

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Boulder was standing room only until the overflow room began to fill with more participants to hear speakers and hear about action steps.

The event began with the reading of the names of the 135 people who were killed by police so far in the nation in 2016.”
