I haven’t watched any of the Repub convention, but have been following on Twitter’s hashtag #RNCinCLE. These are some very ugly people. The lies are flying. The sad thing is anyone can fact check them. Too bad we no longer have a 4th Estate. I can’t wait for the Democratic Convention to start. I’m looking forward to the sanity.

Note how they posted this as a statement of fact, not ‘he is expected to say that he will champion blah, blah’, but he would actually do it.
I loved that. I am going to miss FLOTUS so much. Michelle Obama as First Lady has been more than I ever expected. More than I dared to dream when I realized we were going to have the first Black First Lady. Love her. Loved her way before I loved him. I am a Michelle Obama Stan, and I will miss her terribly. In so many ways, it was more important to me to have HER in the White House than even POTUS.
God seems to be toying with American conservatives. On the same day Donald Trump secured the Republican nomination, Roger Ailes, legendary creator of Fox News, was being ushered out of his role.
Mr Trump’s rise may have taken the world by surprise but it is hard to imagine his message having taken root without Mr Ailes’ groundwork.
Felled by sexual harassment allegations from a former Fox anchor, the news channel’s departing creator is no household name. Yet Mr Ailes has played wizard behind the curtain to more than two generations of Republican presidential candidates, conservative pundits and intellectuals. He is the creator and destroyer of ambitions — the Shiva of US conservatism. Without Mr Ailes, Rupert Murdoch would have been a far less potent figure on the US scene.
I became a little nervous when my girl Missy Elliott climbed into the car, but, I see they did an excellent job of editing the words to the song. LOL!!!
There is no empathy and passion in any of the Trump speeches. The faces appear constricted by whatever they have done to them – no expression whatsoever. If the only people who can talk about you are your children – who are dependent – you have issues.
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort told MSNBC that women will be voting for Donald Trump because “they can’t afford their lives. Their husbands can”t afford to pay for the family bills.”
So Ivanka thinks she is at the DNC convention? What a joke. Paid leave? Isn’t this the man who said he hates pregnant female employees because they disrupt his business when they deliver? And he pays the women on his campaign staff significantly less than the men. And of course, I suspect that is if he pays them at all. Can you imagine these kids of his in the WH? And I have no doubt they would be the ones making the decisions given that King Don only wants to do the ceremonial things.
On the positive side, folks are reading and seeing things with the conventions starting. I ended up on an email chain yesterday about the article in the New Yorker by the Trump ghost writer. One of the people on the chain truly was shaken and wondering how Trump could get this close to the presidency. By the end, think I convinced everyone on the chain to donate to Hillary and possibly even work for her. Not sure if more than a couple had donated to political campaigns previously. So some progress.
Dudette, they already had the human sacrifice. That invisible ghostwriter for Melania who was identified as the person who not only stole FLOTUS’ speech but inserted herself into the body of Melania and made her repeat the stolen words in her speech.
