The media is so desperate to boost Trump’s flagging numbers, I anticipate a variety of MSM/GOP-manufactured mini-scandals and “crises” of sorts between now and November.
Total media hype. If HRC had been charged, it would have been a double standard. Other State secretaries have done the same thing. Let’s see what scandal will be manufactured next.
RWNJs are still out for Roman Polanski, and the girl involved in that incident has made peace with his actions. Yes, Polanski was at fault, but her mother’s parenting skills (lack thereof) leave a lot to be desired.
But Trump is far worse, he’s got a cult of believers behind him, and the MSM are complicit enablers (or worse).
It makes no sense that MSM has been in a frenzy over WJC’s bad judgment (there’s an article linked to by Drudge now to the NY Observer (published by Ivanka’s husband] that says WJC pretty much forced himself onto AG Lynch’s plane, taking her completely by surprise. We all know by her deeds and words that AG Lynch takes her job and her responsibilities seriously, and is one of the sharpest minds in the US. Have a nagging feeling that this (subconscious) sabotage by WJC is fueled by his inner-most motivations against women and Blacks (he obviously resented PBO a whole lot more than HRC did in 2008).
Even more disgusting than the non-stop attention Trump’s gotten for a year, stroking this delusional egomaniac’s ego, is the abomination later this month.
Would not surprise me if networks and cable give RNC wall-to-wall coverage while limiting DNC to an hour, cutting PBO and VP off mid-sentence. They wouldn’t dare to do that to HRC acceptance speech, but expect to see Bernie get “equal coverage.”
Based on my own observations of Trump’s entitlement and misogyny, his feeling as if he can do pretty much whatever he wants, say whatever he wants, this accusation, now that I have a little detail sounds just about right. Given that he was pals with a pedophile and bragged about the good times they had this is absolutely believable. Now Trump’s weird statements about how he would certainly be sexually involved with his daughter if she wasn’t, cough, his daughter, seem even more despicable. All one has to do is imagine how far from reality those kinds of father/daughter suggestions would be from someone like President Obama to understand the sickness involved. Trump is a sick person and this country has a sickness to think he is presidential material. Hypocrisy was never more evident. Religious right now claiming Trump has been saved. Just like they did with Bush. Oh how it hurts to even contemplate the corruption of mind, body and spirit that it takes to support Trump. GOP is degrading itself beyond imagining.
The minister that has absolved Trump of his sins and declared him a Christian is the same one that hosted the religion forum between McCain and Obama in ’08. Obama went first with McCain to follow only McCain was fed all the questions before he went on stage while Obama was answering them.
President Obama is good to his core. It has been so clear that he walks in the Light. Everywhere he goes he helps create an ambiance of love. I like to picture angels surrounding him with protection. Everyone drawn to him I am drawn to because I know what they are responding to and its goodness.
There is something so challenging about watching faith be used as a propaganda tool. However, people of good will and emotional health recognize the truth and they are connecting all of the compassion and strength they have personally to build a force for hope. The push back against that is obvious but it will not prevail. I know that goodness is the hope of our world and Barack Obama and all the people on this site contribute big time to that.

I finally got to watch the NPR interview with President Obama, and what a magnificent piece of history it is! I am always inspired and awed by PBO’s fluency and intelligence, and of course by the righteous works he can proudly recount. It still amazes me, though, that he can remain so calm while the interviewer blatantly tries to get under his skin, using the ‘someone said’ posture to insult and hurt him. I know I’m not alone in experiencing his speeches and talks this year in the glaring light of what’s on the horizon– it’s so hard to bear that he’ll be moving on! But what a joy it is to hear him now, to see him in such a moment, and to bask in the wonder of this presidency. O-bot yes, and gladly! 🙂

On June 20, news broke of a civil lawsuit filed against Donald Trump, who is accused of raping a 13-year-old girl some 20 years ago at the Upper East Side apartment of Jeffrey Epstein. Trump has largely been able to ignore the story, which has not been seriously investigated by major news outlets. But that may soon change.

The events of the last couple of weeks seem to have caught up with me today. Had my grandkids here for three days this last week which is always a treat and able to ignore most of the political news. But the loss of Elie is heartbreaking. He served as an inspiration for so many of us. Love the piece in the NYT about Obama After Dark. But it also makes me sad because there simply is no way any of the candidates can live up to everything he has done for us. I am so going to miss this man, and of course the rest of the family.
And already I am suffering from Clinton Fatigue. The whole email mess was Hillary’s doing to begin with, and the meeting this week between Bill and AG Lynch simply is unimaginable to me as a fellow lawyer. Just a taste again of what is to come with a Clinton presidency. Of course, I will continue to support her and have started to give her funds, but this type of thing just reminds me of why I did not support her in 2008. It is unfortunate that Bill is part of the package. While I agree it is non-issue, it simply is not done and both of them should have known better. The one who will pay the highest price is Loretta Lynch. Forget about a Supreme Court appointment for her after this.
It seems the GOP can do anything – but one minor mistake from a democrat (especially a Clinton) and the media NEVER stops. I don’t believe Hillary or Bill deserve any of the sh!t thrown at them & they should not have to spend 99% of their time thinking twice about talking with their friends or doing what is best email wise to perform a job.
The dems are their own worst enemies – best example the “family values” of Trump are ignored yet every democrat who vaguely wanders away from his/her family is treated to the worst ever outpouring of hate.
