Someone, anyone , help me out here
What’s up Mighty P?
Oh, i just keep serially landing on first, watching over my shoulder for Don, and AMK. And VC. ❤ ❤ ❤
🙂 🙂
I just watched Trump’s acceptance speech. It was funny. The GOP is TOAST this year and it is well deserved.
You watched? I tried, however, just couldn’t do it — need to preserve the few good brain cells I have left…
I actually did. 🙂
Bless you!
“Cotton explained he knew she was close friend of Obama’s & blocking her was way to inflict special pain on president”
This is SICK. May Cotton rot in HELL (while on earth), and may his conscience eat him alive for the remainder of his pitiful life.
It won’t bother Tom Cotton one bit. Cotton come from the people were they could beat the living craps out of you, hang you on a tree till your neck is broken, and throw your body in the river, and feel not one bit of remorse.
Hopefruit, it would be hard to argue that the GOPs (we see on display) have a conscience. Cotton, for example, has had several public examples of having shelved his, along with his “patriotism”, so I cannot picture him having any familiarity with remorse. You said it right at the start. He is SICK.
What bothers me most about instances like this is that GOP pols can publicly admit (and have) their unprofessional goals, their deliberate intent to obstruct the CiC and his governance etc, and yet they still regularly collect a salary for a job they are not doing AND have admitted they won’t do. The blatant arrogance AND injustice of it boggle my mind.
The media blames the President for everything that the GOPers do – that is why the latter get elected.
This, plus the fact that there are far too many citizens who still trust media reporting.
Very true!
hell is reserved for traitorous thugs like this.
And only the GOP are allowed this low bar by the US media
Gotta run. Will join the furst woman as US president party later.
I watched about ten seconds of Trump without the sound. That was not an enthusiastic crowd. When I had the sound on momentarily there was barely a rustle of applause and people were basically sitting on their hands.
Like I said earlier…I think his “crowd” had 4 people in it….He has a “movement” he said. I chuckled.
there was a moment of dead silence when he said he was going to go into the inner city to help the African Americans. You could hear the discomfort….. A thing of beauty. lolololol
that he did. lolololol
They didn’t just BUILD this, THEY ARE THIS!
I have always loved and admired this woman.
“I ran for the Presidency, despite hopeless odds, to demonstrate the sheer will and refusal to accept the status quo,” Chisholm wrote in her 1973 book The Good Fight. “The next time a woman runs, or a black, or a Jew or anyone from a group that the country is ‘not ready’ to elect to its highest office, I believe that he or she will be taken seriously from the start…. I ran because somebody had to do it first. In this country, everybody is supposed to be able to run for President, but that has never really been true.”
http://www.thenation.com/article/shirley-chisholm-made-the-democratic-party-of-today-possible/
I LOVE this woman still! Used to cut school, hop the train to DC and follow her all over the Hill!
Lucky you!
Yes, I was! Lost contact with her after I joined the Marine Corps; as luck would have it, I was assigned to Office of the Legislative Assistant two months before she retired — renewed our acquaintance.
Joe’s scared… Of course, it doesn’t mean jack because they really THINK the way DT does…they are just mortified that he says this shit OUT LOUD!
Sanders wins ND gets 6 delegates
Is that the caucus MNSBC is ranting about
It was a caucus and wait for it. Sanders got 253 to HRC’s 101. I shit you not.
Hillary has total 2440 delegates
Sanders has total 1597 delegates
watch this space
Every time I try to watch MSNBC election coverage, I wish for Keith Olbermann. I so wish he was here this year…..he would have taken care of Trump by now in a beautiful, literary, pungent manner, and Trump would not know what hit him…..and of course neither would the Republicans.
Brian Williams is so pompous, and spends his time trying to put words in people’s mouths. He tried with Sen. Boxer, but she knew how to deal with him. He likes to set up a false premise: “We can all agree that the Democrats have these two problems, blah, blah, blah…..” Barbara knew what to do with him.
Why do they keep talking about some caucus that Bernie is winning? I’ve been checking decision desk & they don’t even mention it.
I. Just. Voted.
🎉🎉🎉
You are a star
🙂
Hey, did you go to the concert last night?
Yes meta, I did and now I’m trying to eat, play here with you all before I collapse.
99ts, yes, it was the venue that Bernie tried to reserve at the last minute and was denied! LOL
Woot! Go GGail!
Is Hillary speaking?
Not yet.
she is going to now.
http://johnpavlovitz.com/2016/06/06/to-brock-turners-father-from-another-father/ This going viral. Share. Maybe the sentence will stick.
Thank you NW for this essential thread!!
http://www.decisiondeskhq.com
South Dakota Hillary 53% to 47% – 60% reporting
Montana Hillary 49.4% to 45.4% – very little reporting
New Jersey Hillary 63.6% to 36.2% – 50% reporting
New Mexico Hillary 52.7% to 47.3% – 15% reporting
But MSNBC have been ranting about a caucus somewhere
Here she is!!
Okay, I admit it…..I’m crying! Fifty years ago I never thought this would happen…….I’m so glad I lived long enough to be part of this moment.
So enjoying watching Prime Minister Trudeau making everything positive again! PBO has been a delightful mentor for him, although, I am sure the young man was well qualified and well suited to the post! Canada, so lucky!! http://dontchangemuch.ca/
Shout out to NJ by Hillary..Yeah! Tears about history being made.
Bridges are better than walls
“Bridges are better than walls.” Love that
Gotta admit it finally caught up with my brain and heartstrings! Good for Hillary – and all women of America. Long time coming.
She brought a tear to my eyes
Excellent speech. She’s found her stride!
Yep, Nerdy, the choice could not be more stark.
Love these headlines. 🙂
Just watched Hillary’s victory speech on her historic achievement. She did a great job rousing the crowd and putting Trump in a box and she was very gracious to Bernie Sanders. If he responds to this with anything less than the gracious acknowledgement she gave me, he will look like a lout. HRC has so many echoes of PBO with her vision of community, fairness and equal justice. She was good in her own right, but she is definitely the heir to his legacy. She said that her mother taught her to stand up to bullies and that it is the advice that will serve her well in the months ahead. I was proud of her and proud of the voters across this country who chose her.
When you look back at 2008, she has clearly progressed and has all the strong elements and intonations from the last 7 1/2 years of PBO and VP. She is a much better candidate and fighting all the right fights with a progressive tone.
I listen to Hillary tonight on MSNBC and she was pretty good. I am ready to do what I can to help elect her President. Let’s go elect Hillary.
I loved that part where she said her Mother taught her to stand up to bullies.
Bridges are better then walls. Hillary did a good job.
A wonderful speech, measured and powerful on values, a surgical knife to Donald Trump, inspirational, especially as I think of my two young granddaughters. A good night for Hillary Clinton and a good night for the Obama legacy. She has won NJ big, has an upset victory in SD, a solid victory in NM. And will win CA.
Any news on CA results?
I see that donald dreck even with zero competition, is still losing 20 to 30% of gop voters in reddest states.
I voted in CA 🙂
Bernie can go back to sleep. It’s over now
#TRAITOR!!!
GGail – is it likely that California will have 2 dems contesting the senate seat? Seems slightly weird
1 precinct reporting
HRC – 6629 votes (62%)
BS – 4032 votes (37%)
22358 precincts left to report.
http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/files/elections/2016/by_state/CA_President_0607.html?SITE=AP&SECTION=POLITICS
Gosh HF – compared to everywhere else the numbers are huuuuge – 10,000 votes in 1 precinct – SD – 80% counted – total 48,000 votes
CNN has faster updates – the AP is lagging.
HRC now with ~130K votes (63.7%)
BS with ~71k votes (37%)
with 4% reporting
all those bs polls showing how bs is closing the gap was all bs then?
It appears so – if this margin continues. With 17% reporting, it is sill in the 60-30 range…
How quickly pundits forget who said they would be the President of ALL Americans. Problem with saying this is the GOP – they don’t want to be part of ALL Americans.
Kamala is leading by 40% with only 16% reported so far
Well I just got home from a 15 hour day. It was steady slow day. But over 60% had mailed in ballots so I know we had a high turnout. I have hope for Hillary, but I think Bernie will win MT. I am tired, but I am want to go back and read what what all went on today.
It is very close marilyn
http://www.decisiondeskhq.com/results/2016/primary/dem/president/montana/
It was very close. Now it’s dealing with the Bernie or bust people.
They are somewhat bust! Is there any chance that your state will reject Trump? He seems to have walked in the GOP primary
That’s a good question 99ts. I think it’s close right now. I do have great hope!
Given he has few staff & at the minute cannot even get people to a rally – let alone to vote – Hillary may be leading a massive wave!
Thanks Marilyn for all your hard work today! You deserve a big rest 🙂 If Bernie wins MT, it will be by a small margin, and ultimately won’t matter in the grand scheme of things! 🙂 He’s currently lagging slightly with 40% of the precincts in.
Latest update: he’s leading by 5pts
Yup – he ultimately won by 6 pts…not nearly enough to overcome the massive deficit, with HRC winning both CA & NJ (the two delegate-heavy states) by double-digits!!
Thanks HF2, Bernie did win MT but as you said a very small margin. He only got 1 more delegate than she did. MT was the only state he won so I am satisfied.
Indeed.
A big thanks CA for saying big FU to bs and his minions.
As per 538 (and others) early CA returns are the earliest mail-in ballots, which historically come from the over-55 crowd. The next batch will be the Election Day votes, and the last batch will be the late mail-in ballots. Expect the lead to narrow.
per gopolitico, with 11% in, she is still leading by almost 2 to 1. I don’t think bs bots can outpoll that deficit. My prediction she wins by 18 to 20 points.
I agree she will win – I’ll punt 13-15% (would have said 10-15 but I’ll stay with your 3% margin – I’m good at maths)
#pessimist
realist
I am so hoping you are right amk. I want her to trounce the BS-ers around here so they go back to the rocks they crawled out from under.
One of those “mail-in ballots” was mine. I made sure to vote before I went to D.C for my great grand niece’s high school graduation. So far, Hillary Clinton is winning California decisively!
She will win – the margin at the minute is about 14.5% – hehehe – if that holds the top end of my estimate
Another moment they can share
No long applies (Ha!), but maybe she can call him at 3:00 a.m. 🙂
I see what you did there… 🙂
Other than not spelling “longer” right … 🙂
I feel your pain 🙂
No kidding!!
Got that right. Enough already!!!
Live Look at Bernie Sanders Watch Party in Santa Monica, CA – http://abcnews.go.com/Live?stream=1
OMG, AT LAST
Bernie wants POTUS to hold his hand while he extracts ransom.
The ransom will be Bernie gets to walk out of the White House the same way he came in.
Don’t make me laugh, Jacqueline. Ha!
I toned down what I was going to write somewhat. 🙂 🙂
LOL. violent wimmin/smh
Oh, yes, we’re all so scary. 🙂
Yes, shuffling, staggering, filled with phlegm and farting up a storm! 😭😟😵😡😠
Eek! (Ha!)
Someone need to school Nina Turner. I had to turn away when she was going on and on and on. She is really a woman scorned.
There’s always the implication that Bernie will take care of the people – unless I missed it, no mention of everything President Obama has already done.
I didn’t see your comment but had one too below. She is more upsetting of all BS’s revolutionaries. And with 60 words per minute, her mouth can run a lot of rants.
Ya know, I really cannot believe that Sanders is demanding PBO’s time to move on. What a sore loser. Oh well, not going to let him spoil this very special day! Loved Hil’s speech. I thought she knocked it out of the park.
It’s okay. The President will have Bernie cooing by the time he leaves the Oval Office. Maybe Joe will be there, too, and they can all have some White House brew.
The President is a busy man. I hope their meeting is brief.
It just strikes me as so much of that white male privilege in his demands. He has been delusional for months now but has to meet with PBO to exit? I do have faith, however, that PBO will not tolerate too much of his BS.
WOW! Good going, troops!
Isn’t Loretta Sanchez one of those blue dog Democrats? Her sister supports Hillary.
WOW!
I hope someone will nominate Nina Turner to an ambassadorship post far away but tomorrow.
This!!!!
Congrats Hilary!
Congrats Kamila!
Bye Bernie; won’t say it was nice getting to know you. It wasn’t.
ahem. #Kamala.
Thanks, my editor. 🙂 Much appreciated.
Congrats, Kamala!
Booman post (I know his commenters have gone way over somewhere but his own posts are still good)
“The distinction between the left and the right in this country could not be more stark tonight. Watching Fox News is a strange experience. It’s like watching people do commentary at their own funerals. ”
http://www.boomantribune.com/
Think Kirk’s constituents should be aware…
And the media rants about the FBI investigating Hillary – pfffft
Everyone should keep a close eye on this story.
Kamala Harris wins the senate primary. Yay, worthy replacement for Ms Boxer.
Not really. Our crazy new law says she has to get 51% or more to clinch the seat. If not she runs off against the 2nd top vote getter, in this case Loretta Sanchez, another Democrat, in November. So it ain’t over till it’s over.
Ouch:-) But I must admit for the last several months I immediately hit the mute button whenever she is on the tv.
Didn’t she go right from losing her own race to Bernie’s campaign? I think she has her whole heart and soul into it, maybe combined with a bit of excess. Gotta feel for her.
But, yes, the mute button is definitely our friend.
Has anyone posted that MSNBC is saying Sanders is supposed to speak in a half hour (1 a.m. ET)?
California knows how to (Democratic) party!
I don’t think the news people are calling her the projected winner yet, are they?
The pattern repeats itself. bs can win only in bs caucus.
hmmmmmmmm!!
Deeeeeep!
I love it!
Bernie’s planning on speaking before a large crowd in Santa Monica. Too bad. He should have just done a quick presser. Oh, well. Everybody’s gotta be somewhere.
Bernie is speaking now @10:45 pm
Watched him. It should be over soon … but not yet!
This is just plain ugly. Sanders is even more delusional than ever. UGH UGH UGH.
Yeah, everyone should read that article.
It shows clearly what we’ve all suspected: the behavior of the Bernie Bros comes directly from the top. He is truly an angry, entitled, bitter and vindictive a**hole. He sounds like Nixon with an enemies list:
“But more than any of them, Sanders is himself filled with resentment, on edge, feeling like he gets no respect — all while holding on in his head to the enticing but remote chance that Clinton may be indicted before the convention”
http://www.politico.com/story/2016/06/bernie-sanders-campaign-last-days-224041
I will never ever understand the appeal of Bernie Sanders. After an incredibly prepared, knowledgeable, accomplished, calm, cool POTUS, people want an unkempt sloppy thinker old white guy who has no plans and no strategy? I DON’T GET IT.
I’ve never gotten it Meta. I never, ever felt even the tiniest bit of “Bern”. Even back before he ran, I was soooo not impressed with him. He was like the McCain of the left, only making appearances on pundit shows, saying the same thing, never actually doing anything in the Senate.
It’s like BS became a “thing”, more about having the sticker or the shirt cause it’s what the “cool” kids are doing. I think attending a rally came to be like following the Grateful Dead. Sam Bee called him a “human Che Guevara T-shirt” That about sums it up, I guess.
AGREED.
Of course you won’t, meta, you are intelligent, logical and aware of the challenges that the entire world faces, together. It can’t be only about America any longer. People who really get that are perplexed by tehbernedout dood. 📿🕉💞
YES, that’s it, exactly. He couldn’t even answer a question about Latin America, for crying out loud. So ill-prepared for the job, it’s not even funny. What does worry me is how millions mistook his angst for leadership. UGH.
“driving the train” ~ high on cocaine, or sumptin’….

Thanks NerdyW, for keeping the wheels turning so effectively.
Ciao, TOD peeps. Will catch up with you all later.
Also too, thanks again, my editor, Mr. Amk. It’s reassuring to have a reliable working partner. 😉
Have the abc live stream up. Bernie must have run out of $$$ for music royalty fees; the same eight bars have been repeating for the last half hour…
Apparently, Hillary didn’t mention Bill in her speech tonight.
Works for me.
And goodnight, TODville!
We in TODville know how worthless polls are, since they interview only people with landlines who answer a call from an unknown caller.
MSM will continue to hype Trump as if he’s in a “closely contested” campaign (actually heard Major Garrett say this on the radio today), but…
I wonder if HRC was the only sane candidate for President this month?
Is Sanders a coward?
Poor Bernie, the knives have come out…
Time to celebrate with some apple pie and vanilla ice cream!
I’ll lurk back in before bed!
I’ll leave you with this from Al G’s timeline:
Maybe Sanders isn’t a coward…
perhaps this is his motivation:
This is just unfreakinbelievable and infuriating:
Final Bernie thought for tonight — he really is unhinged:
Final CA Dem primary thought for today.
Absentee votes are what’s being reported now:
And LA County votes are just now arriving at the processing center:
^5.
That bastard!
The first woman in the history of our country to win a major party’s nomination and Sander’s supporters “boo” her during his speech. The disrespect is mind blowing. Bernie and his “revolution” make me sick.
Just like the Trumpsters, the BernieBots have fed each other so much of the GOP talking points, they think of her as if she’s evil incarnate. Interesting that they don’t even consider PBO’s trust in her as a factor at all, much less her actual record of service.
Notice how he didn’t say anything whatsoever to quell the behavior. Just moved on to the next line in his speech, like it was just fine and dandy with him. That’s not the action of a leader who’s interested in eventually working toward party unity. I hope the party leaders don’t get him anything else to appease him. Enough with Bernie and his crap.
Totally agree. Bernie didn’t even acknowledge her as the official nominee. He just said it was a good night for her. Seriously, WTF? He’s meeting with POTUS in a few days…I want to be a fly on the wall for that one. Bernie is about to get sat down. lol
GM Dudette.
Kamala Harris would have won outright if (this crazy state where I live) hadn’t fielded 34 US Senate candidates in yesterday’s primary. (For 2003 Gray Davis gubernatorial recall election, 103 candidates vied to lead the state.)
Despite the loons here, CA has always been a leader of US trends, and I’m pretty sure you have to go back to Reagan in the 1960s for the last time an anti-choice GOP candidate has won statewide office. Even Pete Wilson, who is pretty much reviled here now, was pro-choice and the first vote I ever cast for President was for pro-choice Pete McCloskey (who is still alive and who converted to Dem a few years ago LOL).
The leading GOP candidate for US Senate this year was pro-choice, pro same sex marriage Duf Sundheim, and he didn’t come close (results as of 12:30am EDT):
That seat comes up so rarely everybody and his brother feels they have to run. Congrats to Kamala for taking the lead. Sanchez really got smoked.
All you need to know from Bernie’s speech tonight:
Ain’t this a trip — SHE called Bernie. That punk-ass loser didn’t even have the decency to pick up the phone and call the winner after this major historic milestone. Fuck him! Seriously, fuck him!
WHAT. A. TOOL.

Hmm, this is interesting.
California Approves Prop 50 Giving State Lawmakers More Say Over Peer Privileges
http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2016/06/07/california-approves-prop-50-giving-state-lawmakers-more-say-over-peer-privileges/
“SACRAMENTO (CBS/AP) — California voters on Tuesday gave state lawmakers the ability to suspend their colleagues’ pay along with their voting power when legislators are accused of wrongdoing while in office.
It was the lone, statewide ballot measure in the primary and was proposed by lawmakers who asked voters to give them greater latitude to judge their peers’ qualifications.
Voters agreed, with 77 percent favoring the measure.
Proposition 50 will allow legislators to suspend their colleagues’ privileges in the state Senate or Assembly.
Lawmakers sought the change after suspending Democratic Sens. Leland Yee, Ron Calderon and Rod Wright as they faced felony accusations in 2014, when all three faced criminal charges but had not yet been convicted. A state law prohibiting lawmakers’ pay from being reduced meant the three Democrats continued receiving paychecks while on suspension.
The proposal will permit harsher punishment, but also makes it more difficult to pull off.
The 40-person Senate or 80-person Assembly currently can suspend a member with pay with a simple majority of votes. Proposition 50 raises the voting threshold to two-thirds to suspend a member without pay…” <<< – I wonder if VOTERS were clued in to the last part about making it harder to discipline members.
They’re talking about Bernie. He said “The struggle continues” (invoking language from the Civil Rights movement). Said it twice near the end of his speech. You know he got that either from Corny West or Nina Turner. Smh
Still can’t believe he used that expression. Good lord.
with 92% in, HRC declared winner with 56 to 43.
Go Hillz.
Thank you. Case closed.
Would that be 13% – in the range of 13-15%?
She did good
Only 13 points. I balme you.
I’ll take that as congratulations – why didn’t we have a small wager on it.
I’m just the best pundit – maybe I should start up in opposition to 538
still 5 more % to be counted yet.
So if it gets to 15% – still in my range, if it falls below 12% part of my original thought. Not going to go outside of 10-15%. I is a winner – this is yooooge
lucky win.
Nononono – skill, not luck 🙂
Next I’m going to work out which states Hillary will win on her way to the White House – should do better than little Nate with my estimates.
http://graphics.latimes.com/election-2016-california-results/
This link provides the counties that are not 100% in. All are big Clinton Counties where she is leading by double digits. LA is 83% in and she is leading by 58 to 42.
also. too. santa clara. with 76% counted, she is leading by 62 to 38. Isn’t that supposed to be bs bots territory?
Santa Clara is part of Silicon Valley. But basically, Sanders was never going to win California. We are very near minority majority. Clinton has been working this crowd for years.
Yup 😉
Good evening amk …. and Good morning TOD!!

These ladies are actually risking their lives … these are not idle words ….
So for the first time since Bridgegate I dropped in on Morning Joe (or as Pierce calls them Squint and the Meat Puppet) this am. Despite the anti Trump pretend, all they want is for Trump to apologise & keep the racism covert and all will be love again.
New post.
https://theobamadiary.com/2016/06/08/early-bird-chat-761/
Quite interesting – some guy (TOm Friedman?) from the NYT is talking – he is voting for Hillary as the best of Trump, Sanders and Hillary. The other fools tried so hard to get him to say she is the best of a bad lot – or he would rather someone else but he just kept saying – these are our choices and she is by far the best.
