I can’t wait for the campaign to start. PBO is going to kick Trump’s behind.

    • June 3, 2016 at 8:37 am

I can’t wait either, africatimes2. I felt like PBO’s Elkhart speech on Wednesday was a preview of things to come. I felt like he was already on the stump…and why not? The Democratic primary is in effect over. HRC’s policy speech on yesterday was brilliant and effective….like watching Pavlov’s Dog experiment in action…her words elicited the intended response….and Trump couldn’t seem to help himself.

Can’t wait for the takedown. Can’t wait for “a woman” to take down Donald Trump, because he really, really won’t be able to handle that, the sexist pig.

Other than that, happy morning, TODville! #FORWARD

Ryan is a pathetic excuse for a human being, let alone a leader. He is dedicated to the idea of cutting Social Security so no one else can enjoy the benefits he did when he used SS survivor benefits to go to college. He’s a sick man intent on making seniors suffer and he’s well earned the name Charles Pierce assigned him– “granny starver.” That anyone assumed he had principles to stick to is just laughable. He’s a poseur and nothing more, just like the man he bowed his submission to yesterday.

    • June 3, 2016 at 9:08 am

This article implies that there are differences between the GOP and Trump…..the only difference is that TRUMP is in YUR face…with heis his racist JIVE…but let me tell you..there is no daylight between the GOP and TRUMP on policy…look how they govern….whether it is the GOP controlled State Houses or the GOP Congress…their policies are the same…

If anybody gave Paul Ryan the benefit of the doubt on having any integrity left, even that is lost now. And karma knows a lot of neighborhoods.

First we need to get Trump off the national stage, then Ryan and McConnell. And then we’ll party!

    • June 3, 2016 at 10:44 am

This Washington Piece is signed by the Editorial Board, no less !!

Clear that it is all about keeping control of Congress, but it will backfire.

And Ryan will regret this, every time Trump will spout some nonsense during the next few months. And it will happen OFTEN.

This should be the top news story in every news media. When PBO took office the US was bleeding jobs. His actions as president healed this country. This 4.7 unemployment number is s BFD!!!!

            GM JackieG.

Of course MSM is freaking out about how *bad* this is… “for Obama.”

Drives me nuts that MSM are in lockstep in pointing out negatives, yet *completely* ignore any glimmer of support this country has for our President, his Administration and his policies.

Whatever the President does/has done is the result of other people — infuriating because PBO has been the most consistent and honest politician in living memory. They snark at “No drama Obama,” yet doubt his sincerity the few times he does has expressed emotion (e.g., “no more tears” when he speaks about the horror of Sandy Hook — which of course makes no sense at all).

Obots won’t forget PBO’s speech in Elkhart IN this week:

            End of rant.

Hillary must have rally rattled Trump yesterday. I saw a clip of his unhinged rant from last night and he was sweating profusely. It was running down his entire face.

      * really

    • June 3, 2016 at 9:02 am

Even the Morning J (sans Joe) crew were shaking their heads. But the only shoulda/coulda’s they had to offer were Benghazi…Libya…Iraq vote.

Trump has said in the past that when he is hit, he hits back. The wussy Republican candidates were afraid of what Trump might hit them with and either only made token/weak shots, or quickly ran and took cover. HRC has been hit so often and for so long, she has built up a resistance…and BTW, she is still standing. Unlike, the Republicans, “Donald” does not own her.

    • 26 jackiegrumbacher
      June 3, 2016 at 9:11 am

If Trump was rattled by Hillary’s speech yesterday, he’s in for a long and miserable five months, with one-two punches coming from HRC, PBO and Elizabeth Warren. He’s been saying that Hillary would be easy to beat because, once again, he underestimates women. Yesterday, Hillary was just warming up, flexing a little before the fight, clearing her throat. Donald “ain’t seen nothing yet.”

      • June 3, 2016 at 9:27 am

There are a number of campaigners that can [and (hopefully) will] *masterfully* keep the jabs going including VP and even Bill (if they can keep him on point). I just can’t see Trump being reined in and learning not to react to the jabs in his normal, thin-skinned fashion.

I always chuckle when Trump is ranting and holding up what I assume to be his speech or notes, and seems to have a problem even reading it. If he has a hard time reading pages he is holding in his hands, imagine the comedy of him even *trying* to use a teleprompter.

    I have the same concerns…

“Some officials worry about briefing Trump, fearing spilled secrets”

Some U.S. intelligence officials are concerned that Donald Trump’s “shoot from the hip” style could pose national security risks as they prepare to give him a routine pre-election briefing once he is formally anointed as the Republican presidential nominee.

Eight senior security officials told Reuters they had concerns over briefing Trump, whose brash, unpredictable campaign style has been a feature of his rise as an insurgent candidate. Despite their worries, the officials said the “Top Secret” briefing to each candidate would not deviate from the usual format to avoid any appearance of bias.

Trump’s lack of foreign policy experience, his volatile style, and his little known team of foreign policy advisers make him a unique case, the officials said.

“People are very nervous,” said one senior U.S. security official.

Intelligence and other security and foreign policy officials are also trying to determine “who on (Trump’s) team are trustworthy, the official added. “We’ve never had a situation like this before. Ever.”

Of course in the “both sides” meme, concerns about HRC’s handling of sensitive email was noted. [sigh] Like she will do the same thing going forward. I think, unlike Trump, she is smart enough to learn from her “mistakes” and won’t keep doing something just to prove that she can. geez

    • June 3, 2016 at 9:28 am

if they remember….Hillary knew about about the raid on BinLaden…not a peep came from her…or any of the President’s team…i am weary of the press and their deceptive memes comparing Hillary to Trump..when there is no comparison

    • June 3, 2016 at 9:53 am

Those officials have a right to be concern, if Trump don’t leak it, his buddy John Miller might.

Know why there is no GOP push back, because what Hillary said was the truth and they know it. Hillary was not making up any lies on Trump, she was using Trump own words. The Republicans know that Trump is a wacko, but now he is their wacko. We have to get out to vote to make sure he does not become America’s wacko.

Less for you, more for ME!

Vice recently aired an episode on HBO investigating the labor practices of Trump International Golf Club in Dubai – and they are jawdroppingly awful, to say the least.

The laborers are brought in from countries like Pakistan, promised $3 an hour but paid half of that, have their passports confiscated when they arrive in the country so that they can’t leave, and packed 20 or more to a room.

All this so that a billionaire, who has more money than he can spend in a lifetime, can fleece workers to “make” even more money.

If you have HBO, you can watch the full episode. If you don’t, below are two clips that provide a glimpse into the horror that it is to be a worker building Trump’s golf club in Dubai.

Happy Friday TODville!!! Well 4 more days until Tuesday. I hope it will be over for Bernie then. I will be the Poll Book Judge for my precinct. It will be a long day. I haven’t seen any polls for MT, I really haven’t looked, but I am pretty sure it will go for Bernie. There are many of the really left wing here. So many have been unhappy with Obama. Although I do know many who will be voting for Hillary. That’s why it is very hard for me to talk politics here. I have too many friends who are on all sides. Off to finish laundry and cleaning the RV. It does take some time to recoup from a long camping trip. It is worth it.

Listening to these commencements have really helped me see all the wonderful young people that are the future of America and the future of the world. So diverse, knowledgeable, and ready to serve. Great story. Good ad. Wrong candidate though.

Years late and millions of $$ short on trying to appeal to a community Bernie has dismissed for decades.

I hope to see more people get the kind of chance for a turnaround like this young man.

However, I’m more inclined to believe his success has more to do with the things PBO has been talking about and working toward all along rather than anything Bernie has said (and certainly nothing he’s done).
