    G’day mates….little Johnny strikes again.
    Little Johnny meets Donald Trump

Trump was visiting a primary school in Orlando and visited a grade four class. They were in the middle of a discussion related to words and their meanings.

The teacher asked Mr. Trump if he would like to lead the discussion on the word ‘tragedy.’ So our illustrious Republican candidate asked the class for an
    example of a ‘tragedy’.

One little boy stood up and offered: “If my best friend, who lives on a farm, is playing in the field and a tractor runs him over and kills him, that would be a tragedy.”

“No,” said Trump, “that would be an accident.”

A little girl raised her hand: “If a school bus carrying 50 children drove off a cliff, killing everyone, that would be a tragedy.”

“I’m afraid not,” explained Trump. “That’s what we would call great loss.”

The room went silent. No other child volunteered. Trump searched the room.
“Isn’t there someone here who can give me an example of a tragedy?”

Finally at the back of the room, Little Johnny raised his hand. The teacher held her breath.
In a quiet voice he said: “If the plane carrying you was struck by a ‘friendly fire’ missile and blown to smithereens that would be a tragedy.”

“Fantastic!” exclaimed Trump, “That’s right. And can you tell me why that would be a tragedy?”

“Well,” says Johnny, “It has to be a tragedy, because it sure as hell wouldn’t be a great loss…and you can bet your sweet ass it wouldn’t be an accident either!”

    The teacher left the room…

Switched from CSPAN (can’t take listening to their callers) to MSNBC, where they are recapping with Senator Feinstein.

I came in late to the speech and missed this line, but it’s AWESOME!

About Trump: “He says ‘I know more about ISIS than the generals do, believe me.’ You know what? I DON’T believe him.”

      GA Linda.

I’ve refrained from commenting about Prince because I stopped listening to the radio and popular music in general around 1980 because I didn’t like disco (sorry disco fans — I know nothing about music, but personally didn’t like disco, JMHO).

However, shortly after Prince’s untimely death I saw speculation that this may have happened, and it made me feel so sad because (from what Twitter and TOD tells me) he was the most energetic performer around.

So he basically hurt himself by giving 110% for others, and as a result this tragedy occurred.

Thank you Nerdy for putting Imani Gandy/ABL’s tweets together here! If you hadn’t posted them, I might have missed them, as I don’t check her every day. I’m going to share this with F&F.

Just listened to HRC’s speech on FP and had these tweets in mind while watching. So many of her criticisms of DT could be applied to BS as well. She is the only candidate qualified to succeed PBO. I can’t compare her to PBO, no one will compare to him, and I’m doing my best not to try.

However, like PBO, HRC must be ten times as prepared, educated and polished, while these rumpled, messy-haired, uninformed and willfully unprepared mediocre fools get away with half measures; no, actually I should have said quarter measures or less.

I thought she knocked it out of the park. Can’t wait for PBO, VP Biden and the rest of Team Dem to get on the trail!

That tweet with the quotes from the Rolling Stone interview with BS sounded too crazy to be real, so I went to read the article myself. Not only did BS say all of those things in the interview, quite rudely and crudely, I might add, but also doubled down on his “WHITE working class” theories, leaving no doubt who he really is:

SANDERS: “…working-class people in this country – white working-class people – have voted for Republicans for a number of years. Why? Why is that? How does it happen that they vote for candidates who want to send their jobs to China, want to give tax breaks to billionaires and want to cut their health care and their education for their kids? What are they doing? That’s the question we have to deal with.

“The answer is not so much what the Republicans are doing. The answer is what the Democrats are not doing.”

I have an answer for you Bernie: Going after the racist, white supremacist, xenophobic vote!! That’s what they are doing you a**hole! (sorry for my language TOD).

He also left no doubt that he will be of no help in turning out the vote against Trump:

INTERVIEWER: “This has been a tough campaign – a good campaign, but tough in many respects. I’ve heard a number of your supporters, more than I would expect, say that they’d rather vote for Trump than Clinton, or that they’d rather sit out the whole thing. What’s your message to those people?”

SANDERS: “Wrong question. It’s not, ‘What is my message to them?’ It’s not my job to think that I can reach out and say to millions, ‘Do what I want you to do.’ That’s not the way it works.'”

Here is the entire interview. If you are like me, you will want to hit stop on an autoplay of BS talking on the page soon after you click on it 🙂

“SANDERS: “Wrong question. It’s not, ‘What is my message to them?’ It’s not my job to think that I can reach out and say to millions, ‘Do what I want you to do.’ That’s not the way it works.’”

This, after he just got through saying that his bully pulpit (which apparently he just invented, because no one ever thought of that) would make all of Congress change its mind. He doesn’t have to elect a Democratic Congress, just the power of his “message” will bring McConnell to heel.

But to help elect HRC & stop Trump – “That’s not the way it works.”

Is he really that dim? That stupid? He certainly is lazy, uninterested, fuzzy on facts and reality. How the eff did he get anyone to vote for him?

I don’t get it in this sense, giving a speech of any National Issue isn’t a Flower deserving event. It’s not how policies are made. I don’t fault the former SoS.
JFK, 1st Roman Catholic, Not easy.
        Nixon, 1st Quaker, not easy.
Pres Obama, a skinny man, with a funny name, with Zero political machine and an African American, not an easy task.
Hillary Clinton, a Female, possibly a 1st in US Presidency, not an easy task. However, her husband was number 42nd. No Flowers after a speech in USA. It’s a double standard, especially for the Office being sought.

  36. June 2, 2016 at 5:38 pm

Good afternoon, TOD! Nerdy, Nerdy, Nerdy! THANK YOU for bringing us all of the very best in news and info! ABL PREACHED a mighty sermon with those tweets!

PBO’s address to the USAFA was a keeper (as are all of his speeches…); ran a few minutes late to my PT appointment as I wanted to see it live.

You never know who you’re going to meet… There was a rather dour looking gentleman finishing up PT when I arrived. I spoke, with a smile; he responded with a grunt. My breathing was a little labored from rushing and the therapist asked if I had worked today. I responded no, however, my tax office is in my home. She mentioned my town and the dour gentleman perked up; turns out his family is from my town. I knew his grandfather who was a school board member and prominent man in the community. I told him who my family was. He then said “you were probably one of those folks against “The Club.” Quite the contrary — I’m one of those folks that are really PISSED that the board of the club mismanaged funds, failed to pay property taxes, and lost a historic property to tax sale. “The Club” was The Morton Colored Republican Club, until it’s loss in 2015, it was the oldest, continuously operating African American republican club in the country. During my tenure as TC, the property had been up for tax sale on several occasions, however, they always pulled together the funds to get it removed from the list. If they couldn’t/wouldn’t do it this last time, they should have approached the borough government to take the property via eminent domain; it could have then been converted to a community center/banquet hall. NO, instead, they said nothing and the property was purchased by a developer. I bemoaned the loss of a historical property and asked if he knew what had happened to documents and pictures. No idea. His appointment was over; as h left, he said “I’ll be right back.” He returned and gifted me with a yellowed, stained “Sir Speedy Print” bag — inside copies of the club charter and bills of sale dating back to 1896. Tears…
