Morning all. I was away all day yesterday, so there’s lots to catch up on, starting with FLOTUS’ gown. We’ve to two more primaries coming up on Tuesday–Kentucky and Oregon–and more delegates to add to HRC’s count. My 96 year old MIL is worried sick that Trump will become president, so I did my best to reassure her, although my husband is worried, too. I do believe that when we have President Obama, VP Biden, FLOTUS and highly motivated Senate Dems, not to mention all of us, we are going to have a mighty force in play.

Since I’ve missed quite a bit of news lately, and am just now catching up, I would like to say congratulations on birthdays, improving health, and moves. It is so good to keep up with the news of TOD people. You all have been such a support for me this past year. I thank you all SOOOO much.
Now, today, I have just turned in my last ever semester grades! Next year I will not be teaching. I am entering a new chapter of my life, and the gap between eighteen year olds and my age is just too great, and I don’t want to spend any more weekends grading papers. So, I am quietly celebrating the end of my formal college teaching career.
Crolyn, CONGRATULATIONS for all your contributions to education and on all the lives you have touched over the decades! May the new chapter you are beginning be fulfilling and fun!
Carolyn, congrats on retiring. My father was a history professor for almost 40 years. He said the hardest was the first fall when school started. After that he said it was wonderful. Good luck.
