I don’t even have to (or want to) look at what Michael Moore “thinks” to know I don’t agree. What a loser.

I like Renzi. He’s long been an admirer of PBO’s He even called his stimulus plan for Italy the “Jobs Act”, using the English, rather than Italian to name it. He’ll never come close to being the leader that PBO is, but, to me, he has good intentions and gets obstruction to making changes, from both the right and the left, just like PBO.

My Gov. is such a tool….and his endorsement backfired immediately. I was listening to the local ESPN AM channel on the way to the dentist and callers wanted to talk about how shitty Pence is…. they said “he claims Cruz is for the taxpayers….and the caller immediately goes to Pence shutting down the IN Legislature for 3 weeks” another caller said he is an independent and said he has no clue who he is voting for but doesn’t want to hear Pence’s stupid opinion on it. After that Dan Dakich shut down the political calls and went back to the Colts draft options tonight in the 2-3 round…. Pence is scared shitless of Trump voters rebelling against him in Nov. He has cost Indianapolis so much lost revenue with his anti-LGBT laws (we lost 7 major conventions immediately) and that is just some of the gripes with him. The Dem has a legit chance to take him out. This endorsement was so ham-fisted….the only reason he did it is he was GOP establishment money when he runs for President in 4 years. IN law doesn’t allow you to run for two offices at once…so when Cruz announced Carly as VP he thought he was being too cute by half….what a dumbass. We went from GOP mayor in Indy to Dem last year I wouldn’t be surprised if Pence loses in Nov. My bigger worry is Sen. Donnelly in 2018 when he won’t have Richard Murdoch to run against.

On top of that, Cruz Super Pac keeps sending my anti-Trump mailers to our home. Have no clue how we got on GOP mailing list but they are funny.

These morons think that IN voters (me especially) don’t know that Gov. Pence expanded Medicaid two years ago… Since I’m only taking classes right now & have no taxable income(besides Pell Grants/Scholarships… I qualified for it & it has already saved me ~$20,000 in premiums and RXs. My premium is $1 dollar a month (which includes two free cleanings/yr at the dentist) and up to $1000 in other procedures (got 4 fillings Monday to meet that quota) also get unlimited (no co-pay) eye exams and free glasses every 2yrs. (got some new specs last year)

Here is my TOD post on getting enrolled last year: What the affordable care act means to me…. coverage for $1/month! https://theobamadiary.com/2015/03/21/what-the-affordable-care-act-means-to-me-coverage-for-1month/

The Racist Roots of a Way to Sell Homes
    APRIL 29, 2016

From the 1930s through the 1960s, most African-Americans could not get mortgages because the government had deemed neighborhoods where they lived ineligible for federal mortgage insurance, the Depression-era innovation that made mortgages widely affordable.

The situation exposed black families to hucksters who peddled homeownership through contracts for deed, in which a home seller gives a buyer a high-interest loan, coupled with a pledge to turn over the deed after 20 to 40 years of monthly installment payments. These contracts enriched the sellers by draining the buyers, who built no equity and were often evicted for minor or alleged infractions, at which point the owner would enter into a contract with another buyer. In the process, families and neighborhoods were ruined.

Contracts for deed are making a comeback. They are increasingly being used by investment firms that have bought thousands of foreclosed homes and want to sell them to lower-income buyers “as is,” according to a recent report in The Times by Alexandra Stevenson and Matthew Goldstein. Many of the homes are in Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio. In one example in the article, investors who bought foreclosed homes at an average price of $8,000 issued a contract on one in Ohio in 2011 for $36,300 at 10 percent interest.

I had the misfortune of listening to 15 minutes of Thom Hartmann today. Why doesn’t Thom just build a temple to St. Bernie?

He said, amongst all the other drivel, that BS has changed politics all across the globe. The World is now Progressive because of Bernie Sanders.

Seriously. You can’t reason with people that deranged.

Bless you 57 for i refuse to listen to TH anymore. He’s no better than any of the RWNJ radio whores who gain listeners when the GOP is in charge. He has been hoping for a financial collapse under PBO since 2009. I hope his ratings have dropped since he is out right campaigning against DEMS. He is no better than Rush in my opinion.

He got to the venue on time, I think, but hasn’t started yapping yet. My first thought (read: my great joy) was that he had to go take a rest and change his clothes after all that exercise hopping medians and struggling to walk into the convention, probably cursing out his serfs the whole time for not suggesting he land on the helicopter pad atop the Hyatt-Regency.

As much as I love seeing a big doughy orange muffin having to jump the median due to protests, I really don’t think the protesters are going to get anything productive accomplished. as the pres says, don’t BOO, VOTE!

I hope they are all registering every last protester to GOTV for Dems in NOV otherwise this is a huge waste of time for everyone but our worthless media!

FYI Friends, I wrote this little article for an online Journal published by a friend of mine, entitled “The Face of American Fascism” about Donald Trump and also why he will fail.

    • 65 hopefruit2
      April 29, 2016 at 6:36 pm

// ” What is different about Trump’s fascism as a movement is that it does not have mass appeal beyond his base in the Republican Party. He is currently the most unpopular politician in America. … What is different is that a black president has governed us now for almost eight years, twice re-elected, and America is becoming demographically diverse with greater ascendance of women, ethnic and religious minorities into economic and political power. For many of the left-behind-white, marginalized mainly male workers, this is an intolerable change; and one that breeds resentment… Hence his program is not to improve the job skills of the marginally or underemployed, but to blame and put immigrants, people of color and Muslims back” in their place.” His program is to build walls of concrete and of fear and to not open new pathways of opportunity.” //

INDEED. This is a very good article Bill -thanks for sharing! The last paragraph very articulately sums it up, and is worthy of front-page posting!
