Unfortunately no time to read the full article right now but love the quote and will save for later.
It nicely points out what I always call a “teacher personality” which I definitely see in PBO.

Morning, Dudette. They look awfully fresh, not to mention frisky, for people who ‘talked the whole night through’ ๐Ÿ˜€

Hiya VC-Baby! They do look rather perky! Although in this instance, they were paid for perky, so they served it up, nice and fresh! ๐Ÿ˜€

There you go! I now realize why I’m rarely ‘perky’; no one pays me for it. ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

You all packed for your June trip, or are you just getting set to brag on the parents when they get back from their vacay?

I don’t think we will ever have another President with the breadth of knowledge this President has. I don’t think there is a question you have ask him that he doesn’t have some knowledge of and if he doesn’t he says he doesn’t and he finds out. His curiosity is beyond anyone I have ever known. I do look forward to all he will do in his after Presidency.

Good Monday morning TOD. It is a beautiful spring day. My lilacs are close to blooming and all 29 bushes will be full. My life is perfect when my lilacs bloom.

Now I kind of understand why the Koch’s are trying to pimp Hillary. If this works out with the EU, the trade will be astronomical for the EU & the US businesses. Gawd I love this man. Can you figure out how long this negotiating has been going on to have 300+ American companies participate in this Hanover Messe? He never rests does he, always looking to the future of our nation and it’s people.

It is all summed up in the answer that he gave to the London student who asked him what he thinks are his main leadership skills. After he gave three, with examples (He is such a teacher!) he also mentioned kindness, which we know is something that he always talks about and is one of the things that his mother taught him. I just love this man.

Fed-up GOP mega-donors sitting on their checkbooks
    04/24/16 10:30 AM EDT

Republican mega-donors, increasingly fed up with their partyโ€™s circus-like presidential primary, are sitting on their checkbooks until the nominee is decided.
Interviews with major Republican donors and fundraisers reveal that many are fed up after early enthusiasm for unsuccessful candidates. Many of these donors spent millions on the super-PACs supporting former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, former favorites who dropped out of the race after getting throttled by Donald Trump.
โ€œI have been called and asked for money, and I said, โ€˜Once we pick a nominee, then I will give money again,โ€™ โ€ said Minnesota billionaire Stanley Hubbard, who gave an early $50,000 donation to a pro-Scott Walker super-PAC but has made no significant investment since.

โ€œThe problem is that nobody prefers either of those two candidates [Trump or Cruz], and the third candidate [Kasich] no one thinks he has a chance, so why waste your money?โ€ Hubbard told The Hill.

Doug Deason, a multimillionaire Texas businessman whose family spent $5 million supporting Rick Perry and has now thrown $200,000 behind a Cruz super-PAC, said the feeling among his donor friends goes beyond exhaustion.

Michigan cops tracking Flint water critics on social media and sharing data with embattled governor
    25 APR 2016 AT 13:34 ET

Confronted with information found in emails from Gov. Rick Snyder, as spokesperson for the Michigan State Police admitted her agency is monitoring social media and looking at comments about the Flint water crisis in search of threats.

According to MLive, a State Police senior intelligence analyst highlighted a possible threatening statement following a Detroit Free Press article regarding Flintโ€™s water woes that has roiled the Snyder administration with calls for the governorโ€™s prosecution.

Just had to come here and have a lighthearted vent with the TODers:

Today is my day off. I was sitting down, letting my newly painted toenails dry and catching up on TOD and Al Giordano’s Twitter feed when I heard someone screaming, “Help!, Help!” repeatedly. I went outside and realized it was coming from a neighbor’s house, someone that I don’t know and have never met. I peeked over the fence and saw an elderly woman on the ground who told me (not kidding here) “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up.” I went around the corner and into her backyard. I’m physically fit and strong, so I attempted to lift her up but she was of no help at all, so I couldn’t do it. Her Life Alert button and machine did not work, so I called 911 from my cell. They told me they were on the way.

While we waited, she bemoaned the fact that 911 would probably charge her $50 for coming, and that maybe with inflation it had gone up to $100.

Then she said, “Obama says prices haven’t gone up, can you believe that?.” I ignored her.

She repeated it, so I replied, “Well, I love the President, so….”

She said, “You do? Well, a lot of people do, I guess.”

I started to tell her about how, for example, the ACA has been such a blessing for me, as someone in business for myself, but she interrupted me with, “I guess you probably like Hillary too.” I replied that, yes, I did. She wasted no time in telling me, “You know she lied.” I ignored her. She persisted, “You know she lied about Benghazi. She lied to those Benghazi families.”

I then was the one who lied, as I promptly told her, “I think I hear someone coming. Let me go check.”

Thankfully, just then, the sirens from the paramedics could be heard coming down the street. The paramedics arrived and I was able to say, “You’re in good hands now, so I’m going to go back home.” I smiled at the paramedics as I left.

They didn’t look like they would enjoy her thoughts on PBO and HRC either ๐Ÿ™‚

it was probably good you just walked away. That wasn’t the time to tell her she is totally off her rocker. Hope you didn’t ruin your toenails. That’s important.

Ha! Didn’t even think of that. Just checked; yes, toenails are perfect. Yay!

She actually did fall off her rocker (well, lawn chair, anyway) Pretty sure her politics preceded the fall, though ๐Ÿ™‚
