    Furst?

    Mom?

    • April 19, 2016 at 7:37 am

      Morning Not-Furst Mister!

She’s still up and down, some days seems to be making good progress physically and emotionally, other days seems to have slipped back. Feels like a vicious circle, she has to stay there until she heals and gets stronger, but being there just seems to be sucking the life out of her. Rehab is meant to start next week, but I doubt she’ll be ready for it. We’ll see. Thanks Mister.

Maybe the rehab will be encouraging for her, even if she’s not quite ready for it. Still visualizing healing and a return home for her!

Chips, is there an possible chance she could be at home with a home health nurse taking care of her? Don’t know what your insurance provisions are, but this is sometimes an option if a person isn’t adjusting well to rehab.

      GE amk.

I’ve never been to Austin, but the landscape is completely different in Austin and Houston.

Austin is in TX “Hill Country” while Houston south, toward the gulf of Mexico and is flatter than a pancake.

In hilly areas you can escape flooding by reaching higher ground. In Houston there is no higher ground. (Fifteen or so years ago I was in Houston on the 20th-ish floor of a building there and marveled at the fact that there was not a single hill for as far as the eye could see, which is a jolt to a coastal SoCal native — where there is always hills/mountains in view.

This torrential rain is really bad news for Houston, hope it stops raining soon.

Hey Amk. Thanks for checking in.

We’re hanging in there. Some counties like 10-40 minutes away from me have been hit hard and some roads, creeks, low water crossings, neighborhoods were shut down. They began rebuilding from the last storm and were hit again.

They think everything should clear out hopefully by Friday.

Josh Marshall hits the nail on the head. We’re seeing real paranoia from Bernie who can’t cope with anything but adoring crowds and unquestioning loyalty. His inability to comprehend his own position, his willingness to lie and his aggressive manner toward Hillary and the Democratic Party is actually seeming pathological at this point. For the health of the country, he needs to be gone–now. Please New York, help to deliver the final blow and we will do our best in PA next week.

Spandan at “The People’s View” has been doing a great job at exposing Bernie’s lies. His research is meticulous.

      • April 19, 2016 at 10:09 am

I agree Jackie. The People’s View has been fantastic vetting Bernie. There’s a lot of great writers there who really do their research and educate me

I am finding it interesting that, although there are plenty progressive loons supporting BS, some of those that sneered at PBO repeatedly, are not backing BS and are comfortable with HRC.

As time goes on, BS’ breathtaking weaknesses become more apparent. If msm was going its job, this would be made clearer to the public. But they want GOP, so they prop up the weak candidate.

    Good morning TODVille!

May today mark a pivotal moment in these primaries.

Great. You need to vote for delegates too in a primary?

      • 54 No Child Left Behind
        April 19, 2016 at 8:02 am

Yes. I was surprised because I don’t believe I did notice that in 2008. There were 6 for HRC and 6 for her opponent who shall remain nameless.

      • 55 jackiegrumbacher
        April 19, 2016 at 8:17 am

Yes, the process of getting delegates to the convention is complicated. Every potential delegate in PA has to be vetted by the campaigns, then they have to get 250 signatures in their districts to get on the ballot. Voters must elect an equal number of males and females to ensure parity at the convention and those who get the highest number of votes are then submitted to the DNC and are allowed to attend the convention based on the proportion of the vote won in the state by the presidential candidate. The bigger the margin for Hillary, the more of the winners get to go to the convention. Those delegates who get to go to the convention have really earned it.

They are so liberal that they thought they could just leave a BS rally then head to o voting station, regardless of their political persuasion.

      • April 19, 2016 at 8:10 am

I know this is generalizing, but IMO, many of those in BS’s target demographics have the mind-set that things should happen for the them *when* they want it and *the way* they want it with *little to no effort* from them. They also seem to have little desire to look past themselves and consider how their actions impact others. Respect for the rules? In their minds, rules are made to be broken. These are the ingredients to stir up a “revolution” and BS is taking full advantage of that.

        • 63 jackiegrumbacher
          April 19, 2016 at 8:20 am

Well, SW, all of those qualities are a pretty telltale signs of immaturity, which is probably why so many young and naive people are Bernie supporters.

That selfish immature quality describes my daughter-in-law perfectly so I was not surprised when she announced her BS support the second he got into the race. If she thinks something without the benefit of any research it is so because of her superior intellect!

The tennis duo were named sportsman and sportswoman of the year at the Berlin ceremony for their 2015 achievements.

Djokovic, 28, reached all four Grand Slam finals, winning three of them, a feat emulated by Williams, 34.

  17. April 19, 2016 at 8:14 am

Is this the reason Bernie’s people started their false accusations…to take the attention away from them? Was it ā€œunfairā€ that HRC’s campaign didn’t get flagged as well? BTW…I don’t recall hearing MSM accounts of *this*, but I heard plenty about BS’s charges regarding HRC’s campaign funding.

Bernie Sanders received a warning from the Federal Election Commission, citing problems with his campaign’s February finance report.

The letter states the report lists amounts of contributions, receipts, expenses and disbursements that “appear to be incorrect.”

The letter also cites possible impermissible contributions that exceed the allowed limit per election cycle ($2,700 for individuals) along with donations that come from outside the United States and from unregistered political committees… The letter warned: “Failure to adequately respond by the response date noted above could result in an audit or enforcement action.”

    • 69 jackiegrumbacher
      April 19, 2016 at 8:26 am

Sw, he’s got about $10 million in fishy contributions that he can’t explain, but it’s Hillary who’s dishonest, not him.

    • 71 Linda
      April 19, 2016 at 9:25 am

Why is the media ignoring this ?????

      • 72 jackiegrumbacher
        April 19, 2016 at 9:53 am

The media is interested in maintaining the idea of a horse race on the Democratic side, so they are hiding anything that would further marginalize Bernie. This doesn’t mean that all this dirt wouldn’t fall on Sanders like a cement truck if he miraculously made it to the GE. He would be crushed under the burden of it all and that would mean a Republican president. Republican $$$s have been propping Bernie up from the beginning.

      • 74 Neena20409
        April 19, 2016 at 3:25 pm

Exactly, why are HRC’s surrogates not on TV/Cable highlighting these dastard obvious despicable acts? In 2008, the HRC Team were much critical & outspoken. Not as much this Time around. I hear Bernie talking about fracking being bad for the environment, and that he would ban fracking.

But what about Sierra Blanca? [In 1998, then Representative Bernie Sanders cosponsored and actively ushered a bill through Congress that would allow Vermont and Maine to dump their nuclear waste in the poor disadvantaged Hispanic community of Sierra Blanca, Texas.]

Is Bernie’s hypocrisy measured in degrees? He who sees it in black or white…it is or it isn’t…no gray area?

So funny; I remember back when I first went to visit an artist friend who lived there in the ’80s, he lived in kind of a sketchy apartment building that was, how shall I say, ‘fragrant’? Anyway, we came home from an outing one day and, as we walked up the stairs to his apartment, we saw a puddle. My friend, without missing a beat, sniffed a couple of times, as if he were a wine connoisseur, and asked, “What do you guys think… is that urine foreign or domestic?”
