Looks like NCLB and Dudette are twin winners! This primary day is dragging. C’mon, Hillary – time to demolish the cranky old guy’s delusions.

I have had to leave the internet to get some peace of mind. The time was passing excrutiatingly slowly. Nails have disappeared. Please let this be the beginning of the end of cranky pants.

This was a stupid ‘Hail Mary Pass’ designed to change the rules during the game. It’s a closed primary. If Independents wanted to vote in it they had to register as Dems. It’s not complicated. I hope this ruling averts any similar fool moves in PA and other closed primary states.

Ha! I read where they picked some random personal injury lawyer to file the suit, and the brief was a complete joke.

Any serious campaign knows election law attorneys and has them on speed dial.

BS actually told an Indie that he “had a right to vote.” This guy doesn’t understand the basics of anything.

His ads in IL (and I assume elsewhere) kept harping on big corporations and banks “playing by the rules”.

      • April 19, 2016 at 6:42 pm

I’m beginning to think hedoes understand the basics, but he’s misleading people to cause trouble. This is to distract his voters from the fact thta he’s losing and make them want to keep contributing because Sanders is being betrayed by the Dems.

“Sandy Hook victims’ families get trial date in lawsuit against rifle maker”

    http://fox61.com/2016/04/19/sandy-hook-victims-families-get-trial-date-in-lawsuit-against-rifle-maker/

A Superior Court judge ruled last week that a lawsuit can move forward against the maker of a rifle used in the December 2012 Sandy Hook tragedy, and on Tuesday the two sides agreed to a trial date of April 3, 2018.

The manufacturer of the rifle used in the tragedy was expected to file a motion to strike, but the judge stuck with her decision to allow the lawsuit to move forward. All along, Freedom Group has argued that it is protected by a 2005 federal law that shields gun manufacturers from most lawsuits over criminal use of their products. However, lawyers for the plaintiffs say there is an exception to the federal law that allows litigation against companies that know, or show know, that its weapons are likely to be used in a way that risks injury to others.

The lawsuit appears to be the first of its kind to claim the exception against a gun manufacturer.

      April 19, 2016 at 5:18 pm

I hope with all my heart that the Sandy Hook families get the best lawyers in the country and win a resounding victory against these gun manufacturers. Among the ten million reasons why we need a Democratic Congress is the fact that this 2005 legislation must be repealed. Let the gun manufacturers pay through the nose for the destruction they’ve wreaked on this country.

This issue is a big reason why I want Hillary to win. She stuck her neck out on gun violence before it was considered politically savvy to do so.

Honestly, Donna, you have to wonder how any of these people ever graduated from school or passed a test. You want to participate in a game, you read the rules. If you don’t understand them, you ask. You don’t try to change the rules in the middle of the game because you’re losing. Our three-year old granddaughter tried this on us during a game of bingo until I gave her the side eye and talked to her about about being fair. If you’re older than three, you have no excuses.

      • April 19, 2016 at 6:54 pm

The Sanders campaign must know this stuff. they are just cynically using this as a way to keep their supporters engaged and contributing. Sanders wants revenge because the Dems did not crown him king. As you see, I have given up on the high road and trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. I have no use for him any more and I hope to Heaven I don’t have to vote for him. Apart from his acolytes, I think he has forfeited any shred of respect he had.

What it seems like is that according to Bernie he needed the Democrat Party to run for President due to the money and organizational help. It seems he is really running as an Independent, which he has been the majority of his life, using the Democratic Party to get to his end. I do not think he ever was really a Democrat. I use to think he stuck with the same issues his whole political life and viewed that as authentic. That may be, but he is not ethical in all areas, in fact he is belligerent and against compromise according to his voting history. He does not see nuance or looking at both sides. Neither do a lot of his supporters.

So I’m reading that some of the GOP congress people aren’t going to the convention. They really are the party of wimps. Provide the worst collection ever of Presidential nominees & when they realise their choice is bankrupt multi married reality star or a wingnut who will close the country down because he can – they simply hide under the bed with their eyes shut.

      April 19, 2016 at 5:50 pm

I wouldn’t attend either. Makes you wonder why they expect us to vote for any candidate left standing after what is expected to be a very rowdy (and embarrassing) convention.

      • 64 99ts
        April 19, 2016 at 6:14 pm

I wouldn’t go either – but it was my understanding that congress people are meant to be the party leaders and are at the convention to support their candidate – maybe I have it wrong – If Bernie were the candidate would the dems stay away?

        • 65 pkayden
          April 19, 2016 at 6:23 pm

No, the Dems would have no reason to stay away if Bernie was our candidate. We’re not Republicans. We’d rally around Bernie to make sure that Ted or Donald aren’t elected in November.

Now the hardest part for Obama to get elected, being Black, is attributed to why it was easy for him to win. I am White/Native American and I had to convince AAs I knew to vote for Barack as they were afraid he could not win or he might be assassinated.
