White House: Statement By The President On The Passing Of Dr. Joseph Medicine Crow
In Crow, you’d say Dr. Joseph Medicine Crow was a bacheitche – a good man. The first of his people to go to college and earn a Master’s, he wore war paint beneath his uniform and an eagle feather beneath his helmet during World War II. His bravery in battle earned him the Bronze Star from America, the Legion d’honneur from France, and in 2009, I was proud to honor him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Yet I suspect his greatest honor was one he earned from his people: the title of war chief – the last Crow to hold that distinction.
Dr. Medicine Crow dedicated much of his life to sharing the stories of his culture and his people. And in doing so, he helped shape a fuller history of America for us all. Michelle and I honor 102 years of a life well lived, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and the entire Crow Nation.

So agree with you, Nerdy, and thank you for summarizing this so well in a tweet. I am fed up with the meanness, self-delusion, racism and misogyny of the Sanders surrogates and just wish his disgrace of a campaign could be laid to rest quickly. I don’t trust him to support HRC in the end and would not put it past him to deliberately try to undermine the Dem ticket in the general. I hope he loses his Senate seat in 2018 to a real Democrat.
I would not be surprised if a lot of Sanders’ rabid supporters write him in, if that is allowed. I hope it is not allowed. The reporter on Rachel’s show who follows Sanders campaign said, “now that Sanders realize he could win this thing …. “. He is fooling himself if he think that he can overtake HRC in delegates.
He is fooling himself, COS, but his delusion is leading him to get ever nastier in an effort to destroy Hillary and make things difficult for down ticket Dems. He has absolutely no loyalty to the Democratic Party and is in it for ego and money at this point. And yes, he can not only start a write-in campaign, he can also run as an Independent because there are no “sore loser” clauses when it comes to a presidential race.
That is scary Jackie. I have always viewed him as a bitter old man. I use to mute him when he appeared on Rev Al or Stephanie Miller’s show. She catches heck everyday from Bernie supporters. Apparently they looked up Michael Tomasky’s house on zillow after he discussed BS on her show.

Trump shrugs off criticisms that he has had his own manufacturing done in Mexico and China while yelling about manufacturing jobs being sent out of our Country and he can fix that problem, the person participating in that practice making his wealth by cheating the American workers out of jobs. Boy Nina Turner, Sander’s spokesperson is getting nasty on Lawrence’s show. Bernie Frank is doing a good job defending Hillary. I am afraid this kind of face-off could do lots of harm in bringing the party together for the GE, but then I thought the same thing in 2008 and most did come together in the end.
I recorded the show, and haven’t gotten there yet. But when I heard the two of them were going to be debating the merits of the two campaigns, I knew it wouldn’t be pretty! Just as Nina is ultra intense, Barney’s been that way many times, while speaking against Bernie! As you say, this probably won’t hurt the party after the GE, but it’s not pretty to watch.

I could have done better with a few of those questions. He babbled. It was obvious he was trying blarney his way out of answering. I couldn’t believe that when they asked him about ISIS he started talking about Hillary’s vote on Iraq. He has truly learned nothing about government or any of these issues the whole time he has spent in Congress. It almost makes me wonder about his mental state. “If I had some paper here in front of me I could tell you…” Repeating himself and using so many filler words, I was shocked. Is this what he was like in the debates? I didn’t listen to them. I’ll have to go back and see.
He reminds me of my 84 year old neighbor – repeating what she knows because it’s comfortable. He would fill the WH (God Forbid) with dangerous ideologues who have no interest in governance. Foreign leaders would walk all over him. He would blow every thing up. He has to be stopped.
I will vote fore him if he’s the nominee (but I don’t think he will be) but my fear would be as you said, and his that incompetence would result in a big Republican win in the next election and those to come after.
