I like babies, but they’re always losing their shoes and then they expect you to know where they lost them. I’m sorry but babies should be responsible for their own things, I mean how else will they learn.

You probably want them working in the coal mines, too. Capitalist!

LL, are you coming to Betsy’s on April 9th? I was going to email you, but this is quicker 🙂

As of now I’m free that day. That might change depending on the puppy acquisition process. (Yes, we’re getting Stewie a sister.) So, tentative yes.

Sorry the other doggy didn’t work out; but it has been my experience that these things happen for a reason. The perfect sister for Stewie will appear.

Aw, thanks. Honestly, I’ve been scarce aside from Twitter. I’ve been fighting colds since January, so I’ve been taking it easy.

The SoCal weather has been so fickle and bad for anyone with allergies. One day warm, then hot, then cold then windy, then rainy. The flowers have been blooming since December!

Amen on that jojo. I am one who has been under the allergies weather. In and out of the doctors office, however grateful for each of my doctors throughout my illness which started a year ago March 9th, 2015. But I am so grateful for a loving brother who has provided me with so much wonderful in home care and healthcare giver to take me to outside care.

I want to say hello to my dear Chips and all of my TOD family. I come in a read to keep up with what is happening, but I do not comment. I love you all so much. I want to say a big healing hello to all of my TOD family members. May healing continue to rest in your space. Be good to your space and always allow the goodness of the blessings of healing beauty reach your bodies, minds, and souls. Be well, my beautiful and loving TOD family. HZ

An excellent comment about the GOP from BJ:

    Daulnay says:
    March 28, 2016 at 2:33 pm

Some of the Republicans do seem to be trying to replace civic democratic government with a corporate-controlled ‘private’ government. Consider the three segments of government…

    – drafting of legislation is no longer done nearly entirely by sitting civic legislatures. Much legislation is now drafted by ALEC (mainly), or by individual corporations. You get the ridiculous situation of legislators being ignorant of the contents of the legislation they ‘draft’ and propose.
    – election of legislators has gone from a mainly democratic process to one where corporate and plutocratic interests strongly influence the outcome. Tom DeLay’s K Street Project overtly embraced the corruption of Congress.

    – Forced arbitration clauses. For those unfamiliar, a big part of the justice system in the past has been civil dispute resolution through the courts. A huge amount of that dispute resolution has been ‘privatized’ — moved to the arbitration system that is tilted strongly in favor of corporations. To quote a recent local bar association journal, “Arbitration is no longer a small outpost at the fringes of the American legal system; increasingly it is the legal system” (emphasis theirs).
    – starving the courts: justice delayed is justice denied, and throughout the nation Republicans have been working to cut court system funding so that the civic government’s justice system cannot manage the workload.

    – privatizing/corporatizing schools, municipal utilities, prisons and every other civic government function that they can. The Cheneyites even tried to corporatize the military (remember Blackwater?)
    – privatizing entire civic governments, as in Flint and Benton Harbor, Michigan. Mainly to loot, of course.

Does this add up to a concerted effort to replace the entirely of civil/national government with a system of government by corporation and contract? Is it hard to see many issues as part of a struggle between a civic, democratic form of government and a corporate, autocratic one, rather than the more usual left/right?

In this revised edition, the authors bring their seminal book up-to-date in a political environment that is more divided than ever. The underlying dynamics of the situation—extremist Republicans holding government hostage to their own ideological, anti-government beliefs—have only gotten worse, further bolstering their argument that Republicans are not merely ideologically different from Democrats, but engaged in a unique form of politics that undermines the system itself. Without a fundamental change in the character and course of the Republican Party, we may have a long way to go before we hit rock bottom.

    So, in LL news.

I think me and the missus are going to elope to Vegas in May and get hitched there. Then we’ll have a party in our back yard late August-early September. The BFF says we’re hippies. I counter that neither of us wants to spend $10K on a party.

I caved in and agreed to get us a puppy sister for Stewie. Right now we’re narrowed down on a gorgeous little pibble girl named Jessie J.

Anything else? Yeah, fighting colds for 2 months has been a barrel of laughs. Seem to be on the mend now.

This Embarrassing Interview Signals Donald Trump May Be In Trouble In Wisconsin

Trump’s newest dubious boast: ‘I do know my subject’

It’s quite clear, of course, that he doesn’t know his subject. The full transcript has been posted online, and honestly, it’s hard to even know which parts to highlight – because so much of the interview is incoherent. Andrea Mitchell noted on “Meet the Press” yesterday that Trump “is completely uneducated about any part of the world.” The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg added on “Face the Nation” that it’s “remarkable to imagine that someone who shows so little interest in understanding why the world is organized the way it is organized is this close to the presidency of the world’s only superpower.”

“Almost a year ago, recruited for my public relations and public policy expertise, I sat in Trump Tower being told that the goal was to get The Donald to poll in double digits and come in second in delegate count. That was it.

The Trump camp would have been satisfied to see him polling at 12% and taking second place to a candidate who might hold 50%. His candidacy was a protest candidacy.

It pains me to say, but he is the presidential equivalent of Sanjaya on American Idol. President Trump would be President Sanjaya in terms of legitimacy and authority.

And I am now taking full responsibility for helping create this monster — and reaching out directly to those voters who, like me, wanted Trump to be the real deal.”

I guess we should be grateful that she’s warning people now. I just wonder, since she supported him despite his hurtful rhetoric and thought he would help with the disfunction in Washington, even though it’s the republicans are causing that disfunction, who she plans on supporting now.

This fool must have been given every last thing he wanted as a child. That is when one learns that because you disagree, doesn’t mean something is “unfair”. And – the man’s speech patterns are on a par with Palin – something seriously wrong with republicans.
