Don’t know if Foxx will be better, but she better damn well try. The administrative duties of the job are daunting, and if you’re a sloppy administrator you’re in trouble. Alvarez was awful, not just on the shooting of the black teen, but she let Daley’s murderous nephew get away with, well, murder. So there was black and white support to get her the hell out.

          • 25 57andfemale
            March 16, 2016 at 9:06 am

Frankly, amk, I was totally surprised that she won. Every effing GOP I know was crossing over to vote for Bernie because he would be easier to beat. I need to drill down into the analysis to see what worked for hillz. I would have been happy if BS had beat her by 4, 5 points, so this was astonishing. Of course the Chicago media is whining that she barely won her home state, when they could pull themselves away from their Trump obsession. STFU, in an open primary.

Methinks BS’s insulting of the Democratic party and his admission that he’s only in the party for money, data and media, made a difference. He did run a fairly ruthless campaign (no negative campaigning, my ass). He is more formidable than I had anticipated. Of course, he’s nastier than I had anticipated. I was worried because Hillary ran an almost 100% positive campaign here, but apparently a lot of Dems here in IL were buying that she could actually get through some policies to create more jobs, where all BS does is blather platitudes.

            Long-winded enough answer for you?
