I was just thinking that earlier. Wish the media would pound these questions into the RWNJs during debates. This is when the general debates will mater.

        GE JO’B.

        Not gonna happen.

CBS, that stalwart of MSM, has declared that #FlintWaterCrisis is only a Dem issue, which alone should be enough to light a fire on the citizens of Michigan to recall this worthless POS (saw your tweet asking if he just sent a resignation tweet).

BTW, did you see this (which I posted here last month):

OMG. It boggles the mind how oblivious they really are … if they weren’t in a position to HURT others, I’d just feel sorry for them. But I’ll reserve those feelings for the ones they HURT.

And, no, media – Flint is not a Democratic issue. It’s a RWNJ issue. It’s also a voting issue. Which is why we need to vote out all down-ticket RWNJs, too!

This cake, festooned with logos of American greed (none of which are based in Michigan) was LITERALLY a “let them eat cake” gesture.

Yet to my knowledge, only those who read local Ann Arbor news coverage know that POSnyder’s wife is literally a modern-day Marie Antoinette while countless lives are disrupted, ruined or worse in Flint.

All POSnyder knows how to do is deflect blame and beg for federal dollars.

(I don’t usually favor name-calling, but his ineptitude is having real consequences to innocent citizens — unforgivable POS to me.)

Your “POSnyder” is PERFECT. And Mrs. POSnyder seems like the perfect companion for him. I so wish he’d be charged with child endangerment and other major charges, too numerous to mention. Then she could visit him in the big house, which no doubt will have safer water than in Flint.

Wanted to share a happy story. My only single adult child got engaged today. It was a cute story. She is living and working in Germany and had to go to DC for a work related trip. Her German boyfriend went with her to help her cleanup, repair and get her house she had been renting out there ready to sell. He bought his own ticket in second class while hers was work related and in first class.
When the plane was halfway between Germany and the USA an airline hostess took a note up to my daughter from her boyfriend asking her to come back as he had something to ask her. He had gotten the crew to help him. He had temporarily gotten the seat next to him vacated to propose. The Captain announced it afterwards and there was applause and champagne. She had to go back to her seat for the rest of the flight, but the attendants served him warm cookies and were attentive the rest of the trip.

He normally just makes these broad statements, seems to me, that he doesn’t mean. He has no empathy for any of the people who are suffering. He does seem to blame “others” in his administration, but certainly hasn’t resigned, so I guess the final response I’d make to your question is: yes.

Yes he is, Bella, and he’s hired two p.r. firms and two lawyers to protect him paid for by the state. But you know he’s ‘kicking himself’ over this. I wish I could kick him.

Bernie won Maine…but did not get much…

    total delegates up for grabs…25….

    Hillary got 6 pledged…and 4 un-pledged for a total of 10
Sanders got 14 pledged and 1 un-pledged ..total of 15

    PBO & #Irandeal ….so naive

“…The previously undisclosed meetings, which were held in Geneva with Mohammad Javad Zarif, the Iranian ambassador to the United Nations and future foreign minister, continued even after American troops seized Baghdad in April 2003. “We wanted a commitment that Iran would not fire on U.S. aircraft if they accidentally flew over Iranian territory,” Zalmay Khalilzad, a former ambassador to Iraq, Afghanistan and the United Nations, wrote in the “The Envoy,” being published this month by St. Martin’s Press. “Zarif agreed,” he added. “We also hoped Iran would encourage Iraqi Shiites to participate constructively in establishing a new government in Iraq.” Some prominent Iraqi Shiite leaders who had opposed Hussein had long been supported by Iran, which is the major Shiite power in the region.

…..More than a decade later, Mr. Khalilzad considers the failure to keep open a continuous channel to Iran one of the great what-ifs of the Iraq war. “I am convinced that if we had combined diplomatic engagement with forcible actions, we could have shaped Iran’s conduct,” he wrote….continued”

    Need AMK to weigh in….

Amazing factoid I never realized about Bollywood:

“Charu Khurana was, until recently, operating in an illegal, dark part of Bollywood. As a female make-up artist in India, just working meant she was breaking the law. In 2014, she finally managed to get a nearly six-decade-old defacto ban on female make-up artists — originally imposed by a male-dominated union to safeguard male jobs — overturned at India’s supreme court. The ruling signaled a historic fork in the road for Bollywood.

The 100-year-old industry — famed for its “item girls”, underpaid actresses, and ornamental female characters — was waking up to the changing role of women in Indian society, and the need to reflect that shift both on set and screen. “There are now more than 500 female make-up artists practicing in Bollywood,” says Charu, “They are named in the film credits. On set, they get respect…..continued”

Any impressions on the debate? I followed it on twitter the first hour. Seems like Hillary was having a good night, Bernie, not so much. Important thing is viewers know for sure that Bernie voted against auto rescue plan. That should be a deal breaker for most Michigan folks.

You won’t find me in the apologist circle for either Bernie or Hillary. Hell, both have their flaws. I’m a person still wishing Joe Biden had run, and even Joe has his flaws (which mean nothing to me, okay there I said it)! (And, yes, I am an Obamabot, and I’m still waiting for the President’s flaws to surface, there’s that.) But two things continue to bother me.

The first is that Hillary has to defend all of Bill Clinton’s presidential decisions, like they were her own. Last I checked, she was First Lady then – not co-President (no matter that he used to say we got “two for one” with them). Granted, she runs on both his accomplishments and President Obama’s, so I know that’s the “in” for folks (like the media) to criticize her for Bill’s judgment calls. But I wish the media would just let her run on all of HER accomplishments and plans, which I know she’s put a large amount of time and energy into, and yet I guess they’re not so good at figuring that out. Or knowing how to handle a woman candidate for the office of president. To me, this blaming her for Bill’s decisions sounds exactly like what RWNJs do (when they say SHE and President Obama are responsible for the current economy – when for PBO’s first term, she was SoS, and not part of the administration during his second term). We should maybe not add to what the Rs dream up in their dumb little minds.

The second is that Bernie continues to be criticized for “only” having street creds for his civil rights efforts during the ’60s. Yes, I know he moved to VT and sounds like he can’t claim that he’s been involved in fighting for civil rights every other day of his life. But let’s not take away those early efforts when he was in college in the ’60s. We all know many Jewish Americans WERE part of the civil rights struggle back then, in the ’50s and ’60s, as were many faith leaders from other congregations – WHEN MANY OTHER WHITE AMERICANS WERE NOT. Dr. King worked with many rabbis and ministers and priests, as we all know. Some were Freedom Riders, too. Granted, sometimes Jews living in the South back then did not speak up as mightily as they should have, but many Northern Jews did. Like the younger Bernie. Let’s not say it was a million years ago, so it means nothing, or – in my mind – we denigrate all Jewish Americans who stood up at least one time in our history when it meant something. It meant something back then. It means something now. My take.

      March 7, 2016 at 3:43 am

I don’t think the fact that Bernie Sanders marched in the civil rights movement didn’t mean anything. It’s what has he done since then. He moved to Vermont and what has he done in congress all this time.

    • March 7, 2016 at 7:19 am

The issue for me is the things he is saying today. It shows that he has not learned much since those days. He does not see the centrality of racism in the struggle for economic justice. He makes racist comments about blk folks. Blames his lack of appeal to black folks on blk people.

      • 66 jacquelineoboomer
        March 7, 2016 at 11:43 am

Yes, the things he’s saying today (and what he’s done since his youth) are the most important parts of why to vote or not vote for him! He’s lacking in many ways, with his depth of understanding either the present situations that black people experience (and, as importantly, NOT REALIZING he may not get it – because if you don’t know there’s a problem with your way of thinking, you’re never going to fix or improve it), or what it would take to implement his goals in the future. My take was only on that one sticking point for me, and I just had to “get it out.”
