I’m kinda lost for words….I can’t wait til Nov elections. BTW all the talk of a brokered convention (the genius AKA Reince Priebus scheduled it during the NBA finals and would have to move the whole thing if Cleveland wins the Eastern Conference)

Trump turns the camera on some protesters in the crowd. One of these days, he’s gonna get somebody hurt or killed at his own rally.

I love my President so much. The only adult in the room, the only taxpayer-paid person that works… and delivers. The POTUS that worked the hardest!

    From the real world…

CDC: At least 2 U.S. women chose to have abortions after Zika diagnosis

Health officials have tracked at least nine pregnant women in the United States affected with the Zika virus. In addition to the women who had abortions, two others suffered miscarriages.

I didn’t even know that “Merry Christmas'” signs were taking out of department stores. If there is a war on Christmas I missed it completely, now I’m not saying I’m the most observant guy in the world but I would know if someone was fucking around with Christmas.

This war on Christianity has been used against POTUS by the likes of Boss Limbaugh and Glen Beck. It’s all part of the conspiracy facts used against POTUS and now Dems in general.

Apparently, it’s only in Texas. At their department stores. Or along the border. Dunno. Was only half-listening to the fool.

OUR ELDERS CONTINUE to be punished by Jim Crow.

63,756 Reasons Racism Is Still Alive in South Carolina
That’s the number of minority registered voters who could be blocked from the polls by the state’s new voter ID law.
    By Ari Berman

    ……………………..
Larrie Butler, a 90-year-old African-American man, was born in Calhoun County, South Carolina, at a time when the South was segregated during Jim Crow. He moved to Maryland after serving in the military and attending college, but returned to South Carolina in 2010. He got a voter-registration card and voted in the state in 2010.

In 2011, South Carolina passed a strict new voter-ID law requiring a government-issued photo ID to cast a ballot. When Butler went to the DMV to switch his driver’s license from Maryland to South Carolina, he was told he needed a birth certificate to confirm his identity. But Butler was born at home, when there were few black hospitals, and never received a born certificate. When he went to the state Vital Records office to get a birth certificate, they said he needed to produce his Maryland driving records and high-school records from South Carolina. After he returned with that information, he was told he needed his elementary-school records, which Butler couldn’t produce because the school was closed. So instead he found his census record, which was not accepted because his first name in the census, Larry, did not exactly match the name he’d used for his entire life, Larrie. He was told to go to court and legally change his name at 85 years old, in order to obtain the birth certificate required to get a driver’s license in South Carolina and also be able to vote.

“It made me feel terrible,” Butler said.

Chips! I saw the news yesterday about Chubs being reunited with his family and I was so stoked (I’m in California, that’s how we talk 🙂 )

Now it totally makes sense that the woman who first took him in when you took him to the vet returned him to you. If it had worked out with her and she would have kept him, he probably would never have found his way to his real family! It just goes to show how things that sometimes seem like a setback turn out to be a blessing later on!

    Yay!

P.S. I bet Danny’s ear battle scar will make him look even sexier to the ladies 🙂

    • February 26, 2016 at 3:07 pm

      😆 Love the Teddy!!!!

It’s been a bonkers story, Madame Soph. The owner texted me last night to say Chubs spent the day bossing his sheep around and was curled up sleeping he was so exhausted. Really miss the fella, he was a sweetheart, but genuinely happy he’s back to the life he knew. Danny, meanwhile, is looking very macho with his scarred ear! 🙂

Chips I am so glad this story had a happy ending. Border collies just like Australian Shepards are serious working dogs. They were never really meant for pets. Poor Chubs was probably saying to himself: “WTF? How did I get this far from home & how will I get back?” That’s why he was so scared when you first found him and struggled so to fit in with you & Danny. I suspect he might have gotten lost driving off a predator or searching for a strayed sheep. This happens. My Fam has a lot of these types of dogs on our ranches and farms. They are wonderful, loyal & hard working dogs.

Why are some trying to compare Trump’s wife to Michelle Obama? What kind of First Lady would she be, compare to Michelle Obama. No disrespect meant, but she can not ever compare to our First Lady Michelle Obama. First Lady Michelle Obama is the best First Lady this country have had in a long time. If not the best. Plus Trump is not going to be President, so we don’t need to wonder about Trump’s wife.

    No surprise, whatsoever ….

Saw it coming the night I watched Joe McCarthy’s puppet, Richard Milhous Nixon win the 1968 Presidential Election and watched it become more and more inevitable between 1980 – 1988 and 2000 – 2008 ….

“All the marbles” on 8 Nov 2016, for sure.

      “Red Hats, Brown Shirts

Richard Evans wrote a magisterial history of the Third Reich that keeps haunting me, and what everyone dismisses as edge cases and bourgeoisie anti-Trump panic keeps echoing around. I’m not going Full Godwin, and I’m not saying Donald Trump is Hitler. The differences are obvious; Hitler had normal-sized hands, and didn’t have Twitter.

As the political climate keeps racing toward the cliff, I thought I’d post a handful of excerpts by Evans on the 1933 German elections for your consideration.

The election campaign was fought in an atmosphere of feverish, unprecedented excitement. Goebbels and the Nazi Party organization pulled out all the stops. In speech after speech, attended by crowds of up to 20,000 in the larger cities, Hitler ranted against the iniquities of the Weimar Republic, its fatal internal divisions, its multiplicity of warring factions and self-interested parties, its economic failure, its delivery of national humiliation.

Richard J. Evans. The Coming of the Third Reich (Kindle Locations 4752–4755). Penguin Group.

In place of all this, he shouted, democracy would be overcome, the authority of the individual personality reasserted.”

      h/t Jeff Gauvin ….

Mexican, Muslims, African Americans ……. YOU!!

“Antisemitic slogans would be used when addressing groups to whom they might have an appeal; where they were clearly not working, they were abandoned. The Nazis adapted according to the response they received; they paid close attention to their audiences, producing a whole range of posters and leaflets designed to win over different parts of the electorate. They put on film shows, rallies, songs, brass bands, demonstrations and parades.”

Bringing this tweet and article that Meta posted on the previous thread over. I have thought this exact thing as someone who is both an Italian and an American citizen. Read the article. It’s a quick read and absolutely true.
