There is a story behind this song…Georgia on my Mind….when he left GA…because he refused to play in a segregated house…but when he returned…things were different…he played in an integrated venue..

PBO showed out tonight! It was almost more fun watchinghe and Michelle than it was watching the performance. He took the mike at the end to do the shout out part of the last song.
They were too funny fanning Michelle during the song “Night and Day.”

every performer seems to want PBO to be an active participant during their music interlude => so gratifying.

I also treasure the love and respect shared by one and all …. cleans out the toxic mess from the ODS people

  35. February 24, 2016 at 9:22 pm

OMG, that was so much fun. PBO and MO have left their incredible mark on the White House. It will never be the same. Can’t believe how much I’ll miss this series. LOVED how much fun they had, not hold back. 4th quarter, baby!!

Shouting “You lie!” in a speech to a Joint Session of Congress,
    * Refusing to accept the date for a speech about job creation to a Joint Session of Congress.
    * Negotiating a speech to Congress from a foreign head of state behind the President’s back.
    * Seeking to undermine U.S. negotiations with a foreign country by writing a letter to their head of state.
    * Refusing to hold a hearing on the President’s proposed budget.
    * Tossing the President’s proposal to shut down Guantanamo Bay Prison in the trash (and videotaping the process).
    * Refusing to hold hearings on a Supreme Court nominee before the President has even named one.

That was a magnificent tribute to Ray Charles and My POTUS and FLOTUS are awesome for words. This is why after I HANDLE my business of putting another DEM in the White House, y’all can find me over at the Obama Presidential Center enjoying my President and his continued journey of change, innovation and prosperity.

People today may have short political memories, but for those of us who know and understand how government works, we are keenly aware that we may not see a President as revolutionary as Barack Obama is a long, long time. The true impact of his genuine, organic revolution won’t be felt for a generation or more. But that is how revolutions work. You cannot shout something from the rooftops and expect millions to join your cause and upend the system overnight. Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Cesar Chavez all knew that change takes time and that it is integral to plant those seeds and allow for them to grow. As King himself famously said, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.” There might be candidates on both ends of the political spectrum who do not appreciate Barack Obama but for those of us who have studied him and have seen what he has overcome in today’s hostile political environment is nothing short for a miracle.

A miracle that will not be replicated any time soon.

It has been a dreadful performance by the press and by party leaders. They are speaking in such a way as to naturalize the creepy, weird and completely un-American positions Trump has taken.

This is how the dictators came to power in the 1920s and 1930s. Good people remained silent or acquiesced. People expressed hope that something good would come of it. Mussolini would wring the laziness out of Italy and make the trains run on time.

  51. February 24, 2016 at 10:19 pm

Caught just a few minutes of Rachel. Happened to be her interview with Michael Medved. He began by saying that he was against Trump before it was fashionable to do so. LOL. Anyway, to sum up: His theory is that Trump will NOT be the nominee……there will be a brokered convention. Interestingly enough, he didn’t mention which one of the others might or would end up with the nomination–or if he did, I was spaced out during that part. (Was texting with my ill daughter.) One of his main points is the down ticket and how concerned the Party is about those. hehehe! You built this, GOP. You built this house brick by brick. Now enjoy living in it.

None of Ted Cruz’s speeches seem normal. He takes a few extra seconds between each sentence, before starting another. Like he’s either repeating what he just said in his mind, or is previewing the next comment for himself. Or is that just what I’m hearing?

I swear these people are making us look like the crazy ones – Ha!
