He knows damn well you are right…..it’s just another “rig the system” ploy. Them that control the media controls the message….only we ain’t buying what they control nor their message.

Missed that part Nerdy. That is sooooo deep and deliciously subversive what FLOTUS said in that last tweet 🙂

Congratulations, MP! Great tweets, Nerdy Wonka! We can’t begin to see how far the ripple effects of the Obamas’ mentoring will reach.

Hey Nerdy, How can one get a copy of that magnificent painting of our First Family, The Obama’s. Please, do tell. Thanks in advance for honoring this request>>

Anyone with any sense knew that Christie knew what was going on. Knowing what kind of person Chris Christie is, that he is a big loud mouth bully, do you really think those people would come up with that plan all on their own, behind Christie’s back..

My mother raised three daughters as a single mom and never married. We were four females who faced everything together and I think we all turned out pretty well.

My Dad was never the same after WWII, and about a year after he came home, he and my Mom separated. She raised three daughters, as well, by herself. Sounds like both our Moms were good role models for their daughters – meet the challenges, overcome them, and everybody moves forward!

JO’B, you and I have always had a lot in common–names, background, eras. You are, however, the winner and champion when it comes to numbers of grandchildren and great grandchildren!

      Grazie for freeing me!

I made the mistake of Googling polls and predictions and now I’m having a panic moment about 2016 and preserving PBO’s legacy.
Time for a deep breath, a shower, some dinner and a couple hours of mindless TV watching of NOTHING political.

President Obama is the President TODAY and Michelle is the First Lady. FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS on the now and be grateful (talking to myself here 🙂 )

  15. February 8, 2016 at 8:55 pm

Cnn poll just now has sanders up by 26… Lol Emerson has sanders by 12 in today’s polls.
I saw it all the way down to 9 yesterday.
The point is, nobody knows who is showing up and who is voting this year…
So the polls are meaningless. Lol lmao

I agree Jojovie. I just watched Rachel interview Hillary. Basically, it was an interview defending Bernie Sanders and his rabid supporters by comparing them to herself and the comments she gets.

    GE TODville.

Bernie Sanders is a white guy. The GOP, the media and many democrats think white guys have the right to rule. Women and black people should not apply.

There is very little debate on policy in this election. The GOP and the media are currently running against PBO and Hillary. This has nothing to do with policy – everything to do with sex and color. Women who vote for Hillary are accused of voting for her because woman – same as black folks who voted for PBO – it was because skin color.

I’m sure this will never end in my lifetime. People are not compared on the content of their character. They are compared by the color of their skin, the sex group they belong to & what they look like.

I can see no reason for voting for an old white guy who has sat in congress for 30 years and got appearance money. Guess he is one step up from Rubio who gets money from his non appearance in the senate.

      February 8, 2016 at 10:27 pm

And to add – there was NEVER any doubt that Ben & Carly were never going to be the GOP nominee. Why they waste their own & others money is beyond understanding.

Usually it’s what they consider doing for “more fame and fortune” – his book tour and possibly future honorary positions, but I’m too sick of her to know what her angle is! Ugh.

    • February 9, 2016 at 3:25 am

99ts, If the Democrats chose Bernie Sanders over Hillary Clinton they will be guaranteeing a win for the Republicans. For the more than two decades he has served in Congress, Birnie Sanders has always identified himself as an Indepedent Socialist. I seriously doubt that moderate and conservative Democrats will enthusiastically support an avowed Socialist.

        February 9, 2016 at 5:56 am

He still doesn’t have to face attacks based on who he is from the media, the GOP & some democrats. Personally I’m very pro socialists, have never understood why Americans think it is the worst thing ever. Socialism as per the USSR very very different to real socialism. It is a great way to create and equitable society. (As I see it)

A new dimension of the Flint tragedy.

“Eisenhower Elementary teacher Darlene McClendon says her fifth and sixth graders worry they’re dying. Many have rashes, headaches, and stomachaches.

“How do we reassure them? It’s heartbreaking to look in the eyes of a child and have them say ‘I’m scared,’” she said, tearing up as she told her story to Eskelsen García and a room full of MEA leaders gathered for the MEA’s 2016 Bargaining, Public Policy and Professional Development Conference.

It’s hard to know what to say to frightened students, McClendon said, because she worries, too. “My children and grandchildren live in Flint,” she said. ”

The MEA has established a 501c3 fund for tax-deductible donations. Checks should be made payable to “Classroom Support Fund” with a notation that the donation is for the “Flint Water Crisis.” Checks can be sent to MEA, 1350 Kendale Blvd., East Lansing, MI 48823″

The schools don’t need more wasted right now, but they need money for school supplies and fresh fruits and vegetables for the children.Good high in calcium, iron, and vitamin c may help slow the absorption of lead.

Just stopped by late in the day due to celebrating my seventieth birthday today! Went out to lunch with my brother then on a nice long drive with him down the Coast on a sunny 65 degree day. I have been answering and talking on the phone ever since with my kids and grandkids and other brother in Washington, Nevada and Montana. I also Skyped with my daughter in Munich, Germany. Can you tell I am feeling validated, even though lots older?

Shades of ’08. Hillary’s supporters are being “trolled” in a nasty way by Bernie’s, according to Bill and Hillary. Thus reminding me of how her ’08 supporters, who became known as PUMAs, acted toward Barack Obama supporters, when she lost the nomination. I’m waiting to hear there’s a “vast left-wing conspiracy,” next. Maybe it’s been said, already.

I really do not respond well to people running for the highest office in the land, who have to whine to get their way or for things to change. Find a way to deal with it. Learn from the master, who just happens to be a fellow Democrat and our current President. For goodness sake, we’re not even through voting in our second state.

Whining and near tears? Not a good look. Buck up.

Buck the hell up! 🙂 Just another bit of evidence that nobody has had to deal with what PBO has had to deal with, and still he’s achieved so much more than any president in my lifetime. We can’t hope for, let alone expect, another peak experience. But surely the candidates can learn from him, and if they’d just wake up, they’d do better in the election as well as in office.

Aloha Jacqueline! All is well here, though we’re having what we call ‘cold’ weather– 59 at night. That means a blanket on the bed, and in the daytime, socks with my rubber flip flops 🙂 Hope you’re well, too ❤

Good for Rachel. She more or less brought up this topic with Hillary tonight, which I just watched, and called out Hillary supporters for acting in a similarly nasty way as Bernie supporters. Fair’s fair. Works for me.

    • February 9, 2016 at 5:22 am

You are so right, J’OB! You would think that by now, the Clintons would be so politically seasoned to realize that running for President requires the candidate to have a tough skin to fight against false and baseless accusations/attacks.

Under New Hampshire state law, communities with fewer than 100 voters can get permission to open their polls at midnight and close them as soon as all registered voters have cast their ballots.

Sanders won over all four Democratic voters in the tiny town of Dixville, while Kasich sneaked past Donald Trump, 3-2, among Republicans.
