Watchdog: Colin Powell And Condi Rice Had Classified Info On Personal Emails, Too

WASHINGTON (AP) — The State Department watchdog says former Secretary of State Colin Powell and the immediate staff of former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice also received classified national security information on their personal email accounts.

The State Department inspector general made the revelations to Democrat Elijah Cummings of Maryland, senior Democrat on a House oversight committee. Cummings has written Secretary of State John Kerry seeking more information.

More retroactive re-classifications ? Sec. Powell has already called BS on this and wants the e-mails released.

Black Feminists Don’t Owe Hillary Clinton Their Support
If I were a middle-class white woman, I would probably love Hillary Clinton.

    ………………………………………………

What’s funny—and not “funny ha-ha”—is how some white feminists who ride for Clinton as hard as Bernie bros ride for Sanders have been silent about the criminalization, sexual assault and police brutality that black women and girls face. Despite this, they expect us now to be all sister suffrage “Vote for women!” or risk being deemed traitors to gender equality.

Cocooned in the white privilege that many of them deny, this type of white feminist expects black feminists with legitimate concerns to push those concerns aside for the so-called greater good—a good, to paraphrase both Harriet Tubman and Viola Davis, that exists over a line where there are “green fields and lovely flowers and beautiful white women with their arms stretched out to us … but we can’t seem to get there no-how. We can’t seem to get over that line.”

12.7M people sign up for ObamaCare

The number meets the administration’s goal of between 11 million and 14.1 million signups, but is not a large increase from the 11.7 million people who signed up for 2015.

Health Secretary Sylvia Burwell called the enrollment a “success.”

  18. February 4, 2016 at 4:15 pm

UnitedHealth made headlines in November, when officials said on a call with investors that it was considering leaving the ACA exchanges entirely because of the losses incurred there.
“We cannot sustain these losses,” UnitedHealth CEO Stephen Hemsley (pictured above on the right) said then. The insurance company has yet to confirm its final plans, but its losses have fed into accusations that the marketplaces aren’t working.
The losses that UnitedHealth incurred in particular are indeed very real, but also to some extent self-inflicted, according to experts.

“UnitedHealth’s complaints are real,” Caroline Pearson, senior vice president at Avalere Health, told TPM. “But that doesn’t mean that the whole market is collapsing.”

For many reasons, UnitedHealth’s circumstances were different than other insurers: it sat out of the exchange for a year, the individual market was never a significant interest of their company, and their plans were mis-priced for the competition, experts said.

Peter Lee, the director of California’s exchange, accused UnitedHealth of using the ACA as scapegoat for its own miscalculations.

***But companies’ griping should not be taken as a sign that the industry is preparing to jump ship on the ACA — a law insurance companies helped create that has brought them millions of new consumers.***

Excellent! AA women will have a big role in new Clinton administration:

I always wonder who are these A-A leaders of either gender that are mentioned at various times. I, nor, any of my circle know of or follow any so-called leader. We are not a single-minded, nor a single class monolith and have never been so. No self-styled or designated A-A leader speaks for me.

      • February 4, 2016 at 7:26 pm

No, but polling shows that 80-90% of AA people support Hillary Clinton. Here are some listed: “Some of the black women leaders who endorsed Clinton include, actress Angela Bassett; Gwen Carr, mother of Eric Garner, who was killed by police in New York; actress Vivica Fox; Sybrina Fulton, mother of Trayvon Martin, who was shot and killed by George Zimmerman in Florida; Alexis Herman, former Secretary of Labor; Alice Huffman, an NAACP board member; Shonda Rhimes, Executive Producer of the hit television show “Scandal”; actress Holly Robinson-Peete; and Democrats Mayor Muriel Bowser of Washington D.C.; Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson of Texas; Rep. Maxine Waters of California; and Rep. Donna Edwards of Maryland.”

      • February 4, 2016 at 8:55 pm

i looked at the list…they are women of influence…they may not speak for blk women as whole…no one really does…but they can address specific issues that blk women care about…more importantly…they can garner enthusiasm …which in turn can rally folks to the polls…

    • February 4, 2016 at 4:53 pm

Yes, so sad. Last week in Chesapeake, VA (where our daughter and family live), a young man (26) shot and killed his mother, father, grandmother, younger sister, younger brother, then killed himself. What has come out is that he had dealt with mental instability and depression for a few years. Didn’t appear to be anything MAJOR that set him off………some small things, but look what happened. These things are impossible for me to process.

I live in Chesapeake Tnmtngirl. The tragedy has really shocked our community. Its just so sad. According to local news reports, the young man was living with his grandmother and the family was getting ready to sell her home and move her to North Carolina. He was going to have to move back in with the family(Dad and Mom, brother and sister) They had a family meeting to tell him their intentions. They think he killed everyone after or during the meeting. Supposedly, he didn’t want to move back in the family home. He did have mental issues most of his life.

Sabah Muktar , who Introduced President Obama At Mosque, Call Out The Media’s Anti-Muslim Rhetoric for her Excellent Introduction Speech.

SABAH MUKTAR: Fortunately, I’ve had personal interactions that have allowed me to reach a much different perspective than what is normally portrayed on the media. When most see this piece of cloth on my head, I don’t automatically get deemed terrorist. Rather, most see me as an individual. My experiences have taught me that most are accepting and believe, regardless of faith, color, or gender, we are all Americans. And as such, we are all obligated to uphold the rights of every individual.

I am convinced that the right leaning republicans are voting for sanders to stick it to Hillary.
These are the people who would ordinarily vote for Jeb or Rubio or even Christie.
That’s why they are not making up much ground on trump in NH.
I think it’s a poor system to have indes vote in a primary, for this particular reason.

The newest nonsense comes in the wake of the CIA stepping on 20 or so emails because they allegedly refer indirectly to CIA officers in the field. But contrary to some published reports, three officials said there was no email on Clinton’s server that directly revealed the identity of an undercover intelligence operative. Rather, State Department and other officials attempted to make veiled references to intelligence officers in the emails — references that were deemed classified when the messages were being reviewed years later for public release.

***So, not classified when they were sent. Attempts made to veil references to the people who might have caused them to become classified. Classified after the fact.***

***Condoleeza Rice and Colin Powell also had emails classified after the fact which were also sent to their personal email servers.***

When you have subjective standards for this kind of thing, is it really a surprise that 20 emails out of 50,000 or so might be disputed?

Don’t count on cable news to say it like that, because it’s far more delicious to pretend there’s a scandal where none exists.

When I hear about any type of polling, I just think of what happened with Mitt and the fiasco of 2000; it is guess work and plain old lying. Politicians often see what they want to see and rely on the polls that are favorable to them too much. What happened to working to convince as many people as you can and waiting for the final votes before declaring victory or defeat?

MUST READ:…this issue of lead poisoning is not new….we have a history in the country of putting profits before people…

Flint reconnected to the Detroit water grid in October. But the damage to its water pipes was already done. If the lead corrosion cannot be reversed, a wholesale replacement of the city’s water system may be necessary—an enormous undertaking, enormously expensive. In the meantime, the local United Way estimates that between six thousand and twelve thousand children may have been poisoned. The costs of that exposure cannot be measured in dollars. Their suffering and lost potential, as well as their medical treatment, will be a long-term burden in every sense. There are studies that show a correlation between blood-lead levels and violent crime. Clearly, we can pay now for clean water or pay more later.

So I’m reading LGF & seeing photographs of a sanctimonious looking sh!t whose aim in life is to stop poor women having access to any medical services. Why are there people like this in the world. How do they sleep at night. When I have an argument with someone – at the end of the day I am full of guilt and manage a night or two with little sleep thinking – I should not have done/said that. Yet these type of people just keep attacking and attacking until their opponents are either physically, mentally or financially exhausted. What they have done to PP in Texas is beyond awful.

I hope he rots in jail – despite it is most unlikely.
