He’s on fire tonight. Just hope these people take into account when campaigning what has been accomplished and run on it.

I think it was more the sound system in the room. But I noticed they cut off when they were going to do the Q&A. Bummer

Both VP and POTUS are trying to drum into Dems that they can be PROUD. What is up with that? Incomprehensible.

Maybe I have too many Sanders supporters are in my facebook feed, including now one of my best and oldest friends. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ One of the big things that bother me I can’t really say because it’s my emotional reaction. In every thing Sanders says I hear dismissal of President Obama. I can’t say that I’ve spent a lot of time searching out his speeches but when I do hear him or see him quoted, that’s what I hear. This whole business of replacing Obamacare really upsets me, for a lot of perfectly valid reasons, but viscerally because I hear it as “Obamacare was okay. It was the best he could do, but I’m going to do it the RIGHT way”. It’s a pat on the head and a “Run along, sonny; the grownups are here now.” And it hurts when I hear so many people echoing it.

this video clip is such a pure example of how “the news” people of today serve as republican operatives. note how major garret treats president obama or any of his spokespeople as they directly and clearly answer his republican talking point badgering every single time he gets to question them, and compare to this laugh riot, buddy-buddy aw shucks-ing garrett does with KING BUSH the 3RD:

embedded in all this treatment is an automatic assumption that the president obama folks are hiding or failing and no amount of truth they give garrett will satisfy his need to advance the talking point. instead now with yet another BUSH, he’s just a simple, likable nice guy garrett would “want to have a beer with,” just like his murderous brother. amazing.

IMO, Rachel Maddow deserves a Pulitzer for this.

I’ve missed her shows on this DF – it’s too outrageous for words, people need to go to prison for this.

I don’t watch tv anymore…I have not seen these presented on tv…but I know that she was the one that was just tenacious with this story. She deserves some award for her investigative, lifesaving, journalism. Jail would be too kind.

          • January 28, 2016 at 9:14 pm

I didn’t know that DF, I don’t watch much political TV any more either, gave up on MSNBC a long time ago, but it sounds like she’s done some brilliant old-fashioned investigative journalism on this, hats off to her.

      • January 28, 2016 at 9:31 pm

she had been on this story…since the governor set up the emergency managers

      • January 28, 2016 at 10:28 pm

I will forever be grateful to her for continuing to bring first the emergency manager issue and then the water issue to national attention. Without her I think it would have been far easier for Snyder bury the whole thing. the latest is that back in January, Snyder was having clean water trucked into the government offices, while telling the people of Flint to ‘relax’ and drink the poison–sorry — water.

I bet in on the decades that he has been a senator he’s never once asked for a briefing on foreign affairs. The guy has zero interest in anything outside the US.

      • January 28, 2016 at 9:07 pm

He really doesn’t, Forus. Which debate was it that he was asked about foreign policy and almost immediately veered to ‘economic inequality’? It was embarrassing. He’s a one issue man.

        • January 28, 2016 at 10:29 pm

That’s it exactly, but many of his supporters don’t now or don’t care about that. I think they have a very limited view of the presidency.Senators are allowed to have one issue; presidents, not so much.

        January 28, 2016 at 9:15 pm

But didn’t PBO have a foreign policy advise team when he a candidate? This doesn’t make any sense to me. Also, Bernie has badmouthed PBO on pretty much everything. I don’t think Bernie understood the question. Bernie cannot use the current President’s current national foreign policy adviser as his campaign’s foreign policy adviser.

    • January 28, 2016 at 10:23 pm

That’s pathetic. Here’s one thing I’m confused about. So many people say he has passed no major legislation. Supporters say he is Mr. amendment, always working to make deals, and getting a lot of progressive policies by getting amendments to bills through by working across the aisle Stuff like this seems to show he’s not very savvy about the establishment he’s worked in for so many years.

This should be a commercial shown during major family special shows like the Oscars or Super Bowl. They just need to shorten it just a little.

  35. January 28, 2016 at 10:07 pm

I never watch them, but from twitter it the GOP debate sounds utterly dismal and depressing. Apparently they didn’t learn a thing from their hero, Reagan, who at least understood the first rule of politics is to preach optimism.
