EVERYTIME I HEAR THE NAME ‘BILL’ NOW I THINK OF THAT LITTLE MONSTER FLYING AROUND IN THE RESTAURANT INSULTING SENIOR CITIZENS…I DON’T REMEMBER WHAT THE COMMERCIAL IS FOR BUT I WANT TO PUT CEMENT IN HIS SNEAKERS AND GROUND HIS LITTLE SASSY SELF!

      Congrats on #1, Bill.

Thought you’d appreciate this, since yesterday you said “It’s left wing tea bagger nihilism. If I don’t get my pony, I will burn down the house,” in response to 99ts “What is with ‘won’t let Bernie win’ – the GOP may have given up on democracy but Bernie will win if people vote for him.”

She’s really just so tone deaf sometimes. I’m cringing and worried/furious that the DNC put all their eggs in her basket. Actively discouraged anyone else from running and bullied everyone in Congress to line up behind her. ARGH.

After the last debate when Hillary was giving Obama credit for ACA saying we have been trying for a long long time and finally gotten it. We need to build on it but not throw it out. When she said that she had me on her side as she was giving PBO credit and planning to run on his accomplishments to preserve and improve them.
My original fear was she would claim his accomplishments for her own. If she is claiming it is Hillarycare instead of Obamacare I will have a more difficult time getting into her camp.

Pulling th GOP out of trouble again – while the media is doing all it can to blame the EPA

This party of no government screams for the EPA – so they can blame the feds – when anything goes wrong.

      GA/GE Nena.

      Not a surprising development.

MSM (especially that #WitchOnWheels, Michelle Kosinski [@mkosinskicnn] and that former AP ODS-sufferer [@ron_fournier]) have hammered the Obama Administration about EPA having known about the Flint Water crisis for a year and did nothing about it.

Of course MSM/GOP conveniently “forget” that GOP promise to get rid of the EPA when they regain the Presidency.

      • 48 mophene
        January 21, 2016 at 8:03 pm

The people in control of the water quality in MI, falsified data to make it appear that it met EPA guidelines. I see the GOP is trying to make this the President’s Katrina, but that’s some B.S. this is Governor’s Snyder’s mess.

        • 49 arapaho415
          January 21, 2016 at 8:15 pm

          GE mophene.

Not sure about the falsification of data (not up-to-speed), but have heard that EPA knew about the problem last April but took no action.

MSM is sweeping under the rug the fact that the person making decisions for the Flint water supply was a state-appointed official, not a locally elected person.

Today’s daily White House press briefing opened with mayors from 3 cities (Boston, Fresno CA and KC MO) who sang the praises of the Obama Administration.

If the GOP were smart, they would invest in future politicians like the mayor of Fresno, CA (a Republican questioned by @MikeMemoli of @latimes:

            January 21, 2016 at 9:21 pm

And the state appointed official was appointed by Gov Snyder. The weight of the responsibility falls on Snyder

          • January 21, 2016 at 11:22 pm

The experts from Virginia Tech found that the Flint tests had been designed to minimize the lead levels. For one thing, they ran the taps for a few minutes to dilute the lead. They didn’t report scores that they should have reported, and that some numbers on the tests were changed.

      • 52 Nena20409
        January 21, 2016 at 9:29 pm

I know. By doing that, the GOPers and the US News Media would once again, are being absorbed of any tangible responsibility. Same thing happened with the Racist Terrorist that killed 9 in SC last year. It wasn’t the Fed that screwed up. It was the State’s law that allowed the Racist to buy a gun. The Media blamed the Fed. Here, EPA gave their Info and the State did Nothing.

So are you all prepared for Palin as Trump’s VP nominee? I know I’m not but I’m afraid that’s what the plan is. I caught that line in her word salad of sickness that “we’re in it to win in”. Ugghhh, I should have planned to move to Paris this summer instead of 1/21/17. Since I never watch TV except for sports and a few good shows I never see/hear those two creeps on TV but I’ll have to avoid all those video links on Twitter and here. Well we are bracing ourselves fr the snowstorm of the century here in the DC area. They are predicting 20-30 inch snow blizzard. DC and the surrounding areas will shutdown at noon tomorrow. I just pray we don’t lose power. I can live with the snow but no heat is miserable.

    • January 21, 2016 at 8:14 pm

I know, Donna. Loss of electricity is the worst. Concerned about all of you in that area. Living in Fairfax for 17 years–many friends there. Some of them elderly and/or not in good health and some with no family in area.

Hi Donna, our daughter says people are asked to stay off the roads after 1:00 pm tomorrow. I’ve lived in the DC area during huge snowstorms in eighties and nineties and it’s truly ugly. Please stay safe.

    • 70 Judith Fardig
      January 21, 2016 at 10:37 pm

Stay warm and dry. I remember a couple of those snowpocalypse storms during our 16 years in Maryland.

    • January 21, 2016 at 11:18 pm

When I did a field semester in college there in 1970 they had abou 2- 2 1/2 inches of snow, The government office shut down at 2:00 to let every one get home in the ‘blizzard’. The people in my office (BESE) were worried about my friend and I walking home. We kept assuring them we’d be fine because the snow wasn’t deeper than the soles of our shoes but they were really concerned. Being from Michigan, we managed to make it back to our apartment without getting lost in the drifts. I can’t imagine what 20-30 inches would be like. Back then they didn’t have snow plows and salt trucks. They did a little sanding and that was it. Do you have equipment to help cope with this or will other states be sending crews? Please stay safe and warm and well-supplied!

As far as equipment is concerned yes we’ve progressed some since the 70’s 😆 but we are not adapt to snow like the central and mid west parts of the country. A few inches we can deal with but the 20-30 inch blizzard that we are on target to get is unimaginable for this area. Everything is shutting down at 1:00 today and they have been warning us all week so most people have tried their best to prepare for the 36 hours of blizzard type snow heading our way starting this afternoon.

I’m still annoyed by this type language … as though we’ve never elected “the most qualified” before, or at least in recent times … some supporters are tone deaf.

Good one. Never thought of that.

        • January 22, 2016 at 3:18 am

Thanks, JO’B! I actually wanted to go on and ask if Hillary Clinton was more qualified than George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Wodrow Wilson, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, and Lyndon B. Johnston? I know PUMAS insisted on calling President Obama unqualified. But President Obama served 8 years in the Illinois legislature; and by the time he was elected President he had served 4 years in the U.S. Senate. In other words he had 12 years experience in an elective office,. Compare that with the experience of one of the greatest Presidents of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln served 8 years in the Illinois legislature and 2 years in the House of Representatives for a total of 10 years. When Hillary Clinton run for President, she had only served 8 years in the U.S. Senate, which was 4 years less in elective office than President Obama. I suppose Hillary supporters think that being First Lady of the United States gave her more political qualification. As far as I am concerned, the person who is more qualified today to run for President is Joseph R. Biden. I am so sad that personal tragedy prevented him from doing so.

          • 85 jacquelineoboomer
            January 22, 2016 at 1:56 pm

My heart fell when you got to Joseph R. Biden – first for his tragedy, and second for our having to lose him as the next President! I can only wish him well, as I know we all do. ❤

    • January 21, 2016 at 11:04 pm

It didn’t strike me that way jo’b. It just sounded like they were emphasizing that the candidate would be the first woman candidate, and that she was the most qualified candidate-not Bernie.

      • 87 jacquelineoboomer
        January 21, 2016 at 11:25 pm

I know they were probably shooting for that, but when you leave something out so that the message could be interpreted more than one way, that’s not good messaging. (Said the goddess of good messaging – Ha! – just my opinion, of course, ’cause it hit me wrong.) A lot of us are looking for the hidden meaning from her team, I’m one of ’em because I remember the PUMA days, and that’s the part they need to be conscious of, I think. There are many of us they need to try hard to win over.

        • January 22, 2016 at 5:09 pm

I know what you mean. Before I send my newsletter or an email to a parent i always try to read it as if I were a stranger to make sure it says what I think it says and sounds the way I want it to sound. I agree, it was a bit unclear.

      • January 22, 2016 at 3:22 am

Actually, Bernie Sanders has more elective experience than Hillary Clinton.

        • January 22, 2016 at 5:13 pm

That’s certainly true, but I think her service as Secretary of State, while not in an elective office, is still certainly relevant for her presidential qualifications. I’m not arguing for or against either one of them, but I think that has to be weighed too.

Hey 99ts, I hope all is well. I agree with you that the print and TV media were complicit and enabled the GOP/Teabaggers to attack the citizenship of President Obama. The 4th Estate is worthless, but somebody got to call them out.

Gets difficult to call out those who should be doing the calling out. Twitter and the intertubes do help.

All is well as can be down under. I am again intrigued by the non stop political campaigns in the US. Our campaigns last 4-6 weeks. No idea how you all survive your process. Really no wonder that some don’t vote – just sick of the campaigning.

          • January 21, 2016 at 11:04 pm

One of the main reason why US Presidential campaigns starts so early is due to the amount of advertising dollars the media stands to gain, especially since the media markets are rapidly dwindling. Follow the 💵💰 💵💰 💵💰
