Hey, PRETTYFOOT, could you use two free tickets to see James LLoyd at South tonight? 9:30 pm show.
Jazziz = Champion! 😀
Thanks, Dudette! Are you still in FL? If not, I can feel free to spend the few coins I was holding for you NASA bail fund — you know, just in case you tried to stowaway on the complex… 😉
LOL! Nah, had to get out of there before the urge to stow away was too compelling. But I appreciate the bail money idea. Hang on to it though; might need it on my next visit. 😃
so sorry….i can’t go…but thank you so much 🙂
No problem. Called one of my mentees — he’ll use at least one. Was getting dressed and my body said “Hell NO, you AIN’T going out sick in the rain!”
good thing you listened to your body!!
have to… 😦
Congratssssssssssss
Thanks!

I’m noting a feeling of being inordinately pleased to see Justin Trudeau as PM of Canada! He is forward thinking, fresh and young, I believe he will be a wonderful PM, and Canada will be a leading influence in shaping the future.
I agree!
Hello TOD – I’ve missed the news the past few days – which appears to have been a good idea.
Just to advise anyone thinking of downsizing and moving – don’t – and maybe don’t accumulate “stuff” in the first place!
It’s lovely to see the President being the only adult – as usual
🙂 Not accumulating stuff is definitely an ideal. Our house is 850 sqft, so we’re constantly editing our collection, but still stuffing stuff into odd corners because.. .. stuff happens!!
His susanne – that is slightly smaller than our new place – you are doing well
Girl, I’m downsizing, too. I have way too much stuff. IT IS HARD!
Enjoying all the POTUS travel news, as always. Congratulations to Alycee on first.
Tweeted at those 47 damn Democrats who decided to jump on the xenophobe bus the GOP is driving. What is it with the number 47?
Judith, I emailed my Rep Kurt Schrader about how I was upset with his support for the hysterical fear based GOP led vote to oppose our Country’s immigration rules. I ranted on and on. So annoying!
Great, OG! Dems do not get a pass on this stupid move in opposition to the counsel of President Obama.
I emailed my Rep, Donald Norcross, too!
Happy to hear it, sjterrid!
I also sent Dem. Scott Peters of San Diego an e-mail letting him know my disgust at his vote in support of these despicable and heartless Republicans. I had planned to contribute to his campaign, but I will no longer do so. Peters, along with his fellow 46 Democrats who voted with Republicans against Syrian refugees, showed their true character: they lack moral courage.
Yay for positive reinforcement. Must remember to emulate you more often, Dudette!
Aw! Thanks {{{ Judith! }}}
I feel the same about you all the time! 😀
Hmm?
Yeah, right.
How come Armstrong Williams has been booked on TV/Cable for months as Dr. Ben Carson’s Adviser and Business Manager?
😆 🙄 😆 🙄
Guess old Ben got tired of his friend trying to lovingly point out what a political moron he is.
Evening TOD. I cannot stomach the thought of PBO not being my president in the future. No one better on the horizon !
^5
Something that has to be fought for!!!!!!!!
@saleema_refran
I see that the boneless dems have joined with the cowardly thugs in knee-capping their president. They all realize that the rest of the world is watching the constant demonization of people of other races, religion and colour, right?
They realize nothing, AMK. They’re so focused on their own fears that they don’t care about the impact of their hideous treachery on their own country, let alone the world. They’re cowards pure and simple.
An empty gesture. Bill won’t go anywhere.
Does the cowardly critters have the numbers to override his veto?
Thanks so much, NW. I feel like I’m missing much of PBO’s trip this time around. It’s great to know you are here!
Thanks, Meta. 🙂
LL, always enjoy reading your posts. “Thieves are the most paranoid of people.” That describes so many in the government. My suggestion regarding the refugee issue, for every refugee we accept, 2 RWNJs will be given up to go fight for the homeland of the refugee so they can return to live there in peace. Maybe, just maybe, then the RWNJs will understand why these people are refugees. Doubt it.
Amen !!
Excellent tweet. Thanks, meta.

NW, a big thank you for keeping me up to date on our wonderful President Obama, the one that I am more glad each and every day that I voted for twice!
You’re welcome, Anna. 🙂
When I saw that earlier, I thought to myself, “No thanks, @TheDemocrats, I’ll contact him myself, directly.” Ha! Don’t worry, people, I’m only going to send him a friendly birthday tweet – not march myself to D.C. 🙂
I see, upon reflection, that I used “myself” three times in that comment. I should have written “me, myself and I.”
Ha! Just trying to cheer up … (almost typed “cheer myself up,” but I won’t let that happen again!). #ShouldaHadALongerNapEarlier
I signed the card, but I’m not donating as long as DWS is head of DNC. Nope, nuh unh!
This graph proves Donald Trump’s campaign against Mexican immigrants is racial. The Republican Party has become a terrible place.
Thank you for your great posts re: the President’s trip….
🙂
GE TODville.
In response to Dudette’s comment upthread…
Don’t watch CNN, so don’t have a clue who this person is, but agree with @buzzfeedandrew that this makes about as much sense as GOPolitico firing their only Black reporter at the time for saying that #NoTermMitt only feels comfortable around people like himself (can’t remember his last name, his first name is Joe).
Here’s the tweet that resulted in two week’s suspension:
CNN sucks!
Carl/Karl Penhaul(sp) a good Journalist was fired from CNN months ago for calling out what Trump said as racism.
CNN is now so bent on catering to GOPers……..why lately…….The Debates. The make sure that Dana Bash, a Bush former Aide and Hugh Hewitt are part of the debates…….. I Blame Ted Turner for selling CNN to AOL/Time/Warner.
herr goebbels must be kicking himself for being born in a different era. the cable noise will be the death of america as we knew it.
has hillz weighed on this 24×7 fear mongering yet
I think she has several times, AMK. It’s just that our media prefers to focus on the over-the-top Republican candidates, not the sensible ones. At one point she said this fear mongering was a new low for Republicans.
Excellent. I am so glad at least the dem prez candies are keeping their wits about this they-are-gonna-kill-us-all hysteria
HRC has actually been quite out front in decrying the fear-mongering. But you know, fear keeps eyeballs on the cable news nets, so anything rational and human is edited out.
I saw even beebs is into fear mongering.
On some days, the only bright light in a sea of darkness.
I have a suggestion:
could we take some time and encourage the Democrats in the Senate to block this anti-refugee bill;
you know, if we don’t pre-empty some of these cowardly Dems they may follow the example of those in the house;
some may need to hear from their constituents in order to strengthen their perpetually weak political spines
Global, I don’t think this bill has a chance of passing the Senate. Harry Reid has already said he would block it.
I hope Sen Reid is able to hold the caucus together;
I am afraid that after today’s house vote, I don’t trust some of the Dems => they fear their own shadow
Have Rachel’s show on, in the background. She just interviewed Martin O’Malley.
My take: He’s really got to get out more. Every time he answers a question, he’s so intense and long-winded and overblown about it, it seems nobody’s asked for his opinion in a long, long time, and gosh darn, he’s giving it now! Slow down, Martin. Smell the roses.
Rather liked him myself even though I don’t have a vote.
He is rather intense. I didn’t see the interview tonight, but I’ve noticed. He def could stand to loosen up, relax a little. Dude could be VP in a few months. Somebody should work with him though.
I loved his answer and still plan to vote for him.
😀 😀
ON THE FLOOR!……………….LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!
😀
Maybe I love this a little too much… 🙂
Well the President will be home…it is hard not to think of the political posturing….the GOP and how they are able to peal off a few DEMS…
it is like children misbehaving when the parents are away…
there was no need to pass this bill…it was just a way to sting the President and to show unformed citizens that they are tough and PBO is weak…
Steve Israel, DNC leadership and Jewish, voted for the anti-refugee bill.
Cong. Israel seems to have missed the lessons of history.
Shame on Rep. Israel and all the 47 weak-kneed Democrats who voted for Ryan’s xenophobic bill.
Booyah!
has representative Steve Israel seen this?
Donald Trump is a racists disgrace
He’s a fascist!
How did Nancy allow the cowards from her party vote for this xenophobic ‘bill’?
i think that may have voted for the bill…but then when the override comes they will vote against it…it think they wanted to show that they were “tough on FP”….political posturing..i hate it…just stand up for what is right…sometimes you do not get a 2nd chance to do the right thing
WalMart sucks!

Okay, but WOW North America! 😀😀😀
*THUD face first on the naughty mat* I´ll just stay here. I mean seriously.
LOL! 😂😆😃
Just emailed my rep. Scott Peters of Ca who voted Yes with the repugs today.
Message Subject: Syrian refugees vote
Message Text:
Sad day for America and Democrats. Mr Peters..I know you represent a conservative district….I’m in it (Scripps Ranch)….but really? I gave frequently to your campaign when Carl DeMaio ran against you…I believed in your integrity. Your Yes vote regarding the Syrian refugees was cowardly and feeds the fear and hysteria… and weakens our party. The backbone of our party…oh…we have none. Glad the new speaker got your vote. Shameful … you could of acted with courage.
Would you like a response? Y
Good Morning, Everyone 🙂
isn’t she the same person?
if so, it seems its okay to editorialize against PBO but not the republicans
She’s the same person PF58, and the her tweets are contradictory. On one hand she’s attacking POTUS for supposedly not fighting ISIS, and on the other hand she’s then attacking a bill that supposedly purports to do just that. She’s ignorant, unprofessional, and an attention-seeker and anyone giving her sympathy is enabling that.
wow..i am moving too fast….i did not realize that was the same person…smh at me…
1001% proving that CNN is only concerned and would suspend a Reporter, if and ONLY the target of the disparagement is solely directed at Pres Obama, a Dem or Left Leaning Policies.
Donald Trump’s Plan for a Muslim Database Draws Comparison to Nazi Germany
by VAUGHN HILLYARD
NEWTON, Iowa — Donald Trump “would certainly implement” a database system tracking Muslims in the United States, the Republican front-runner told NBC News on Thursday night.
“I would certainly implement that. Absolutely,” Trump said in Newton, Iowa, in between campaign town halls.
“There should be a lot of systems, beyond databases,” he added. “We should have a lot of systems.”
When asked whether Muslims would be legally obligated to sign into the database, Trump responded, “They have to be — they have to be.”
…………………..
Rabbi Jack Moline, executive director of the nonprofit Interfaith Alliance, drew the same comparison Thursday night.
“My father was in World War II, and he fought to preserve America against what the Nazis were doing,” Moline told NBC News.
“This is exactly why there is an America, to not be like that,” he said.
Trump was repeatedly asked to explain how his idea was different. Four times, he responded: “You tell me.”
