    1. Governors cannot refuse admission of people to their state. What’s he going to do, build a wall and create a state customs department, not to mention… oh… the US Constitution?

    2. All the Paris terrorists were European Nationals, and the Syrian passport was faked. I know that conservatives never allow facts to stop their xenophobia, but the Syrian refugees have nothing to do with this – but they’re BROWN & not Christian, so… I guess Christian Hate™ is now a virtue? Can someone point me to the chapter where Jesus said that?

    3. The American disconnect between the largest body count in France since WWII – (129 at this point?), and our weekly mass shootings – boggles.

    4. The conservatives want another war, boots on the ground, and to allow these refugees to die, all while making sure all the mentally deranged, off their meds people who should never be allowed anywhere near weapons of any kind, get as many guns as they can afford…. because…. freedom?

    • November 18, 2015 at 4:59 pm

I am betting many of you have thought this, but haven’t seen anyone ‘voice’ it or put in print. The R’s know exactly what they are doing. They know their actions and words are counter productive and that ISIS uses to recruit. I believe they want, desperately want, us to be attacked on PO’s watch. They are doing everything possible to make or encourage that. Am I crazy?

Yup. And fools such at @Fix and the rest of the US News Media help gin up Lies……and Correcting Facts are lacking.
        Case in point:
        Ebola in Oct/Nov 2014.
Central American Migrant Children in the Summer and Autumn of 2014.
The ISIL/Daesh Beheadings of Western Citizens in 2014.

TN, what they want more than anything is to produce enough terror and paranoia in Americans that they gain the White House and retain both houses of Congress. With that kind of power, they can divert the federal budget to their corporate owners, like the defense and fossil fuel industries, and privatize all government functions, including SS and Medicare. They would also be in a position to select the next Supreme Court justices so that they can guarantee conservative decisions for decades. If an attack on the US would secure this goal, that’s a price “they” are more than willing to pay. This is about ginning up the electorate into fever pitch. For Republican strategists who were concerned about their weak presidential candidates, the Paris attacks were literally a Godsend. They care nothing about the country–it’s all about power.

Amen, Tally! Great, great, comment! These fake Christians stink to the high heavens. All the people clamoring for another war in the Middle East don’t care how many young American service men we sacrifice in these war because their own children will not be affected.

    • November 18, 2015 at 5:10 pm

^ Tally. Turned on the tv a few minutes ago, caught Ted Cruz’s butt hurt rant; HOW DARE POTUS criticize the teabaggers while on foreign soil. MoFo, please…

      • November 18, 2015 at 5:25 pm

To cry baby, Ted Cruz: here is the most compelling question: HOW DARE GOP presidential candidates, U.S. Senators, U.S. Representatives, U.S. Governors and U.S. media attack, criticize, embarrass, and undermine a U.S. President while he is abroad meeting with foreign leaders? I am so proud that my President called out these cowards.

Just like 9/11 did not have a DAMN THING to do with Iraq….Paris bombing did not have a damn thing to do with Syrian refugees, but the Media and the GOP don’t want facts….they want to scare Americans into guns, violence, hatred, and war for ratings = $$$$$

Ben Carson’s campaign made a U.S. map and put a bunch of states in the wrong place
    November 18 at 11:10 AM

Happy Geography Awareness Week! Recognizing that “too many young Americans are unable to make effective decisions, understand geo-spatial issues, or even recognize their impacts as global citizens,” National Geographic created this annual observance to “raise awareness to this dangerous deficiency in American education.”

Ben Carson’s presidential campaign inadvertently underscored this point Tuesday night, when it took to social media to share a map of the United States in which five New England states were placed in the wrong location. The campaign deleted the Twitter and Facebook posts Wednesday morning after media outlets and social media users pointed out the error.

They are together once again…..I had neighbors do the same thing. They were the cutest couple. They grew up in the same mid-west town and they both separately relocated to SoCal. They met again in their 40’s, got married, and were never apart. She had both knees operated on and he took care of her, then he got sick so she took care of him. He wound up in the hospital struggling to live for her until she told him it was ok, she’ll be fine if he wanted to go. He died and the next day she wound up in the same hospital and passed the next day. She could not and did not want to live without him.

Now you will see “brave” Americans scurrying under their beds, terrified of the big bad Syrians. I have several of these bed wetters in my own family and it’s not a pretty sight. All the macho posturing of the ‘tough guy’ R candidates right now is making them long for a big Daddy Republican president. It ‘s truly making me sick. President Obama was so right to call them on their cowardice. It hit home, which is why little Rafael Cruz is crying.

  13. November 18, 2015 at 5:29 pm

    Just…. wow.

  14. November 18, 2015 at 5:31 pm

Apparently some Republican politicians have expressed concern that we should not admit Syrian refugees because… Wait for it… It’s “too easy” for people to get guns in this country. Do they have any idea what comes out of their mouths when they open them? This leads pretty quickly to the position that only white Christians (and probably only those with gonads) should have guns – which I’m guessing is what they’re really going for, after all.

Jeez (excuse me)… It’s just Sharia in a nice suit with a US flag lapel pin, isn’t it?

    • November 18, 2015 at 6:30 pm

The GOP’s disconnect and ignorance is mind boggling. Most of the guns on the planet are ones illegally exported from the US thanks to the NRA and the laws they pay the GOP to write. …. Methinks that needs to be a tweet.

Found these amazing art works on the FB site of the mission my daughter volunteers her service to down in Haiti. Always intrigued by all things Angelic!

    • November 18, 2015 at 8:00 pm

MP, why, oh why did you share this link??? LOVE the angels — the large ones would make great centerpieces for my Christmas dinner (only 18 tables last year); the small ones would make great favors — each year I give an angel as the party favor. My budget for centerpieces AND favors is only $200.00; seems I’m about $1100.00 short. Need to buy a lottery ticket…

        November 18, 2015 at 9:58 pm

Well, jazziz2, you understand so well WHY I had to share, because there are so many reasons!! I love Angels too, have already mentally simplified my Christmas this year, as imminent move is coming up, so currently have a quiet, empty stable, with a few small tools, set into a bookshelf I cleared. I have Angels in every room already, but they shall begin to make their way quietly to wait around the stable, and by the time my rust Angel arrives from Haiti, I expect I will have a Legion, seen, and unseen!! Maybe just buy one or two, small ones, because Mission of Hope is a very worthy cause. Good luck with your holiday plans, and May God Bless. Maybe the finances will show up. It can happen!! ❤

        • November 19, 2015 at 1:02 pm

I simplified Christmas back in 1980. I gave two family members, who were in need, $500 each; while they thanked me, later during dinner, they commented that it didn’t seem like Christmas because there weren’t gifts to unwrap! WTF? Mind you, I was a Sergeant in the Marine Corps, making less than $1000.00 a month — the gifts were MORE than 1/12 of my before tax salary! When I adopted my kids I gave them only a book, an educational game, an item of clothing, and some stock. To this day, I only give a book to kids and anyone else that I’m going to gift. To family and community folks in need, I send a grocery store giftcard in a typed “Secret Angel” card. To my family at large, I give the gift of fellowship via my annual Saturday after Christmas dinner… I REFUSE to do commercial Christmas…

I’ve saved the link and will definitely buy a large and small for myself; however, should I hit the lottery…
