Crazy, severe thunderstorm rolling through here – in central Illinois. So far, no damage in my immediate area, still have power. Begone, storm!

The President’s proclamation for Veterans Day 2015:

” … Our veterans left everything they knew and loved and served with exemplary dedication and courage so we could all know a safer America and a more just world. They have been tested in ways the rest of us may never fully understand, and it is our duty to fulfill our sacred obligation to our veterans and their families … ”

Hope everyone had the chance to thank a veteran today. Enjoyed the pictures from Arlington. Thank you Nerdy and Y JOB for the poem. It made me cry.

Off topic but I know that we have many dog lovers and cat lovers at TOD, my neighbor’s dog ate a mushroom and spent 4 days at the vets and almost died. Please be careful, at this time of year the mushrooms sprout overnight and they are deadly at least here in Washington state.

Good evening Nerdy, Chips & TOD!! Happy Veterans Day to all our brave soldiers now and then. Thanks Nerdy for this wonderful pictorial summary of our President’s tribute to this country’s bravest.

Thank you NW. I can always count on TOD to bring great coverage of this President and First Lady.
