I want to take this time to congratulate Senator Bernie Sanders for his tireless efforts in getting the State Department and the Whitehouse, more specifically President Obama to reject the Keystone Pipeline Project.

Another Gotcha headline from the Washington post….i have not read the article but unless they explain how the GOP Governors slashed state funding and the attack on public workers aka Scott Walker… and how the GOP House resisted any more stimulus that would keep public workers…(teachers…first responders..etc) on the job… it is deceptive to blame the President for the loss of public sector jobs

      • 26 pkayden
        November 6, 2015 at 12:28 pm

The article itself is very pro-President Obama though. He’s saying that Republicans should be praising this administrations creation of private sector jobs and decrease in public sector jobs. Although I don’t care for Greg Sargent, at least he’s linking to a positive story about President Obama for a change.

        • November 6, 2015 at 12:33 pm

but the falseness of the article is that the President saved public sector jobs thru the stimulus…and tried to save more thru the American Jobs Act. which the house voted down the
GOP filibustred in th Senate…it was the GOP that caused the loss of those jobs

Did they just think that he would never be put under any scrutiny? Oh that’s right, this whole running for President is just a scam to raise his profile so he can sell his bogus book.

Honestly, Donna, I’ve thought from the beginning that Carson isn’t well. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I heard him speak many years ago and he wasn’t this odd. He’s truly delusional now and probably actually believes the lies he spouts. His wife or other family members need to intervene and get him the help he needs. That there are people in this country who think a man this befuddled could actually serve as president is depressing beyond measure.

          November 6, 2015 at 12:33 pm

To be honest, I admired Dr. Carson before I found out he was a Rightwing Wacko. Seemed like a very intelligent Black man who had overcome a childhood of poverty and single parenthood. Now, I’m ashamed that I used to like him.

His run for Presidency will soon be over since it appears the media is going after him at last.

    • 52 Vicki
      November 6, 2015 at 12:15 pm

Nobody can do what President Obama does.
I want him to be our President forever.
That said—-Which, if any, of the current candidates do you think you can bear to have on your TV for 4 straight years????

That ? is the one that 2016 will answer.
      NOT policy.
      NOT intelligence of the candidates.
      NOT their experience.

Who do most Americans want to look at and listen to for 4 long years?? That is the question that matters.

        GM/GA Vicki.

Just can’t think about this now — spending as much time as possible savoring and appreciating the BEST President in nearly a century, and feeling some real nostalgia about his past Presidential election wins.

CA primary is 8 months away (in June).

My 3 to 5 year old students were more courteous and well-behaved than those ‘reporters’ who think it’s acceptable to scream out loud at the Leader of the Free World. He just allows them to demonstrate their lack of manners.

A clear statement of the facts and no feeding of the jackals. I live my president.

NE Florida thinks that is is still summer: 80 degrees weather, air conditioners humming, bugs still biting, sun still burning, and we are still wearing sun screen, shorts, short sleeves and flip flops. However, the squirrels are in overdrive foraging for a winter (my backyard is full of them). I would not mind some cooler days.

Have a great weekend TOD ohana.

    Lordy, what a magnificent announcement.

If I were a teenager now, I would be head over heels in love with PBO — forget about cute boys in school or bands.

Unfortunately, Nixon was President when I was a teen (recall the 1970s when the Great Lakes would spontaneously catch fire).

Standing O from me — committed US to make fossil fuel dependence an historic artifact, told the world to “watch out Paris, here I come…” and scoffed at GOP/MSM KXL talking points — reduce gas prices and increase jobs — if we had a Congress who put the best interests of Americans first, they would be negotiating to get clean energy companies (i.e., jobs) to locate in their District (with the caveat that those currently employed in dirty energy fields would be hired and trained to work at the clean energy company with an increase in pay) instead of protecting a dying industry.

Seems to me that the world must be scratching its collective head right now — “what is America THINKING in replacing Barack H. Obama with the true idiots/panderers campaigning now for his job.:

My SIL said today, “I still support him because he’s a good Christian.”

This is the planet that millions of Americans live on, devoid of reality or truth. When did lying become a Christian value? Oh, about the time Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson bought Ronald Reagan. These churches do nothing but replace preaching with RW politics, and if anyone had the guts to call them on it, they are being “persecuted”. God.

During shrub’43’s term, when traveling internationally, I kept my mouth shut and PRAYED folks thought I was either African or Caribbean. All that changed starting with my November 9, 2008 vacation. Traveling abroad during these OBAMA years has been a pure joy! Folks treat us like royalty because we were smart enough to elect the BEST PRESIDENT EVER (twice)!

Just had an OH, S#*! moment…

I’ve booked my Mom and I on a May 2017 Jazz Cruise, departing Venice, Italy with port calls in Montenegro, Croatia and Greece. President Obama will no longer be in office! Time for Mom and I to start practicing our accents… ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Don’t worry. We’ll make sure that a Democrat is in the White House so you don’t have to fake an accent.

AMK – I called the Salaam Cultural Center and spoke with Rita this morning about the donation issue you noted. She will look into it and thanks you for your donation! They are very busy today. No end in sight to desperate refugees seeking a better life. Last week on the 28th, a boat with 300 capsized and many drowned. The big relief organizations are not on the ground in Lesvos yet, so this mission is critical to saving as many lives as possible. Thanks you all for being with my daughter and her team in spirit.

First Lady Michelle Obama left Qatar on Friday almost 48 hours later than scheduled after bad weather forced her to extend her stay in the Gulf state and cancel a planned trip to Jordan. http://www.gulf-times.com/
