i have seen the video about the school child who was manhandled by the police officer on several occasions…what is eerie to me is how quiet and still the other students are…they are used to this violence and are scared that if they say something …this could happen to them

When I saw the boys at the front with their heads down – my first thought was they know they will get worse – if they even move an inch.

That’s what I gathered from a couple tweets. Some people use their phones to record a class. Mr. Long should be fired too.

      Bringing my response over:

PF, I felt I was watching a slave era whipping. The students repped the slaves made to silently watch; the teacher/administrator repped the “good” slaves who kept the others in line; the cop repped the overseer who administered the punishment. The young sister that spoke up repped that ONE slave who stood up, only to also receive punishment! Chilling…

People who vote GOP NEVER believe that the legislators will do what they say they will do – so no surprise that this is happening in GOP states.

I’ve been reading the guardian blog – someone needs to define “debate” to these fools – guess they were all too stupid to be in their school/college debating – although I believe Cruz may have been – then again – he is insane, rather than stupid

I cannot believe these people think they are anyways qualified to become US President. Romney/McCain may have been lousy candidates but compared to this lot they were brilliant.

Okay, I admit, tried to watch the ‘dog and pony show’, I prefer the real thing, dogs and ponies. Shortly after midnight on September 14, 2000, James Ghent slipped out of his Miami home, climbed into his car with a suit, a toothbrush, and a change of underwear, and drove nearly 500 miles to Tallahassee to ask Jeb Bush for his rights back…

Ghent completed his final prison sentence in the early 1990s and his parole in 1995. He got clean. He remarried and raised a family. He went back to school for a degree in radiography.

But like everyone convicted of a felony in Florida, Ghent permanently lost his right to vote, serve on a jury, and run for office. The only way to regain these rights was to petition the governor for clemency. Ghent believed voting “should always be a right,” but he was also motivated by economic concerns. He couldn’t receive a professional license to practice radiography unless the governor granted his petition. And so on that September morning, Ghent descended into the basement of the state Capitol with dozens of other petitioners for a unique Florida ritual: ex-felons entreating the governor and members of his cabinet for the restoration of their civil rights.

These hearings, held four times annually, begin promptly at 9 a.m. One by one, ex-offenders like Ghent approach a podium, where they have five minutes to make their case. A red light signals their time is up. If the governor recommends clemency, and if a majority of the cabinet members agree—and they almost always do—the ex-offender’s civil rights are restored. If the governor feels otherwise, the petitioner returns home without the full privileges of citizenship…

Bush issued his verdict as soon as Ghent concluded his pitch. “I’m going to deny the restoration of civil rights,” he said. He wanted to see Ghent remain on the straight and narrow a bit longer, to prove he had really changed his ways. “I hope you come back, and I wish you well.”

Fifteen years later, Ghent remembers the sting of those words. “He was very dismissive,” says Ghent. The ex-felon wanted to push back against Bush’s decision. But he simply said, “Thank you,” and turned away.

This!!! I tried to watch until Christy started lying. Can’t believe I agreed with Mike Huckabee about Medicare and social security. I love the way Harwood ignored Cruz after he had taken all of his time not answering the question asked and went to Rand Paul while Cruz was stilll whining.

I’m watching it on my laptop while watching the World Series on tv. Although I had to take a mental health break for the past 1/2 hour. I’m shocked how Bush has no charisma. He’s an awful debater. The others know how to lie pretty well on most any subject. And as I saw on a tweet, it’s quite possible all of them failed math.

Lol, Trump went into this big thing about the Iran Deal was the WORST DEAL EVER and then said he wouldn’t do anything like it for example he just negotiated a 3 hour debate down to 2 hours with the CBNC owners. LMAO, how embarrassing to compare Iran foreign policy negotiations to a tv show. And then, if that wasn’t bad enough, John Harwood corrects him and says, “Just for the record, it was always going to be 2 hours.”

Folks this is the crap you’re missing.

I saw 5-7 minutes of CM and his gang on MSNBC. They were all singing the praises of Rubio and I do mean singing the praises. He was magnificent, fabulous, hard-hitting, blah, blah, blah. Jeb–Didn’t have anything good to say about him! Also had good things to say about Christie…….that he had a ‘strong’ night. They didn’t have much positive to say about Carson. The few minutes I saw, it was all Rubio!

Politico also claims Rubio ‘won’ the debate. I didn’t watch, so can’t refute that. Only I have been seeing more and more articles lately saying Rubio is the one to watch, the one who will eventually be the candidate. Sounds like they’re getting their messaging together.

From Ed Kilgore at Washington Monthly:

‘ Sorry to keep harping on this, but I remain shocked there’s been almost no discussion of the budget deal. Paul announced he’d filibuster it, but never mentioned it again. Cruz and Kasich denounced it without going into detail. Nobody else had to say a word. Amazing. ‘

It’s a puzzle all right. This was a big juicy issue they could pose and preen about. Probably don’t want to draw attention to the fact that President Obama gave them a shellacking.. again.
