Is there a clothing allowance for all those beautiful dresses or do the designers discount or donate them for the privilege and advertising of FLOTUS wearing her dress? Or do they have to buy the clothes out of the Presidential pay? Also, does she get to keep the dresses other than those going to the Smithsonian?

I know I am not the first to realize this, but after a quick power nap, I awoke thinking if VP Biden and the Pope have a quiet moment, if the topic of the next person to sit in the Oval Office should be Joe Biden, it feels right that there will be encouragement and a papal blessing on VPB and Dr B, so I am in! #ridinwithbiden

Finally had the opportunity to listen to the wisdom Pope Francis generously showered on the US Congress & the world!
Found it very interesting at which points during his remarks the CSPAN camera folk captured the responses of a select few of those present. When he spoke of the Selma to Birmingham march the camera focused momentarily on Rep John Lewis at which point I sorta lost it!
Knowing what Rep Boehner announced to day, evidently unknown to anyone before he did it, it induced a touch of compassion as I watched him suffering from overwhelming emotions. That he contained himself as well as he did is a bit of a surprise. But, he was truly suffering through that speech and his glib ‘Good luck’ at the outset was likely much more directed at himself than @Pontifex.
However, as the Pope ‘simply,’ without any hesitation, condemned the weapons profiteers the expressions on Ambassador Power’s face touched me and I’m grateful the CSPAN folk captured that poignant moment. She absorbed the Pope’s message in a fraction of a second and both exhaled, smiled a bit and then closed her eyes – the impact of the words being what they should be to any caring person upon hearing what the Pope said. So, I decided to thank her š
Now it’s time to prep super and relax … thus, good night TOD and I’ll try to contribute a bit more substance during the weekend than I’ve been able to do these past days!

And now on to Philadelphia, where he’ll hold another mass, visit Independence Mall, participate in the World Meeting of Families, meet with bishops, make a visit to a maximum security prison, hold another mass and meet with staff of the World Meeting event. And whatever else happens in between. VP Joe will also escort him to some of this.
He’s left a lasting impression on the people of our nation. I absolutely love him.
