Sigh: coulda, shoulda, woulda. Good evening 99ts!

I have been studying the grandbabe’s ancestors & have some of them being farmers in England for the past 600 years – so in the scheme of things – coulda, shoulda, woulda won’t much be noticed. I’m always slighly bemused when I find someone who was born, married, died in the same village – but when I find the whole family there for 600 years – I feel quite adventurous having moved 1000km from where I was born 🙂

        • September 19, 2015 at 9:21 am

🙂 Do you watch ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’? I always marvel at the exotic backgrounds of people, ancestors from every corner of the earth. If your grandbabe appeared on the show, it might be a little dull? ‘And in 1843, John moved from no 23 in the village to no 24’.

            September 19, 2015 at 9:41 am

My grandbabe is lots of things – but NEVER EVER dull. Excuse me. She has it all in the ancestry – around the world in 80 days – just one branch with the farmers in their little village.

One of the WDYTYA producers did a chat about who gets chosen & why we mere mortals just aren’t interesting enough. I like some of the shows but tire of the ones searching out the war heros. Best ever was Mathew Pinsent – if you haven’t seen it check it out.

            • September 19, 2015 at 9:54 am

Ha, okay, I apologize to your grandbabe!!! I hate the war stuff too, my eyes glaze over. Oh crikey, I remember the Matthew Pinsent one, wasn’t he related to God?! 🙂 Some of them are incredible, like the Jeremy Paxman one when he found out his great-grandmother (?) was destitute in Glasgow with a pile of kids. Gut-wrenching.

That was Matthew – right Royal Knight 🙂 We have just had a new Oz series – an interesting collection of thieves and deserters!! but also some heart wrenching tales. Toni Collette’s was probably the best.

Why is it that when you’re breaking an egg and it doesn’t matter if the yolk breaks because you’re going to be whisking it anyway the yolk never breaks, but when you need the yolk to stay in one piece it never does?

    This warms my heart:

Article is behind paywall, but begins:
“Vice President Joe Biden’s aides in recent days called Democratic donors and supporters to suggest he is more likely than not to enter the 2016 race, and their discussions have shifted toward the timing of an announcement, said people familiar with the matter.”

Warms my heart as well. 🙂

    • September 19, 2015 at 9:49 am

Oh my gosh, if this is true I just may have to go out and buy a new dress. I can’t read the whole article because of the firewall but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make is so!!!!

        GM Meta.

A new dress sounds like just what the doctor ordered. I say go for it, the perfect one with your name on it might be out there waiting for you.

Love Joe Biden, but understand his reluctance. My heart breaks when I think of his family get-togethers over the Holidays with his young grandchildren who clearly adored their father Beau. @VP said at the #CharlestonShooting memorial that you need to go through all four seasons before the mention of the loved one’s name brings a smile to your lips before a tear to the eye.

@VP is the only serious candidate who is truly concerned about the future of this country — everyone else is out there for the glory and fanfare for themselves.

MSM love nothing better than to trot out meaningless “polls” which are designed and weighted to elicit negative responses for the Obama Administration. They hope to hide the fact that the #ObamaCoalition exists, and are working to make life fairer for every US citizen.

      • September 19, 2015 at 12:48 pm

I’m with you Meta! I’ll work my ass for a President Biden!

Good morning everyone! It is a glorious morning here on my island, but the mood is intensely somber. Yesterday, the police arrested one of our most prominent lawyers and former Chief Minister – head of government- for sexual molestation of a minor.
For years it was rumored that he was a pedophile, but was considered too powerful to touch. Well, with the assistance of Scotland Yard agents, the police went to his office and took him into custody.
From here on, we’ll be praying that justice will prevail because too often, parents are bribed with substantial amounts of money to refuse to go to court.

    • September 19, 2015 at 10:04 am

      Good morning PrayerWarriorforObama,
I am sad but glad if the allegations are true this person has been removed from a high office.
I will certainly keep praying for the victims and their parents.
As you so well know these days what has been done in the dark is now surfacing in the light.
As painful as it is going to be this is going on all over the world.
      It has to happen.
You stay strong and vigilant in your prayers.
This is the time press FOWARD.
      Stay Focus!

SMH at the CBC. They’ve been with the Clintons the whole time, haven’t they? “Attached irrevocably” sounds a bit odd, doesn’t it?

Joe Biden not going to Black Caucus dinner, will attend breakfast Saturday

Washington (CNN)Vice President Joe Biden will attend a Congressional Black Caucus breakfast Saturday morning but he’s not attending a dinner that night, which will include several Democratic presidential candidates, a source tells CNN.

The organization’s annual Phoenix Awards Dinner — which Democratic party front-runner Hillary Clinton will attend — will allow presidential candidates to court black Americans, one of the Democratic Party’s most solid bases. President Barack Obama will also attend the dinner.

Biden, who is considering a presidential run, attended the funeral of CBC co-founder Louis Stokes last month.

After the breakfast, Biden is heading to Wilmington, Delaware.

Missouri Democratic Rep Emanuel Cleaver, a senior member of the CBC, told CNN that Biden is one of his “favorite humans” but his support or the 2016 election is firmly locked in with Clinton.

“I like Vice President Biden, but most of the members of the Congressional Black Caucus are already attached irrevocably to Secretary Clinton.” Cleaver said Friday. He said most of the members of the CBC are scheduled to sit down with Clinton on Saturday before the dinner.

Cleaver, who has traveled to Iowa to campaign with Clinton, said he wasn’t concerned about Clinton’s sagging poll numbers. He predicted after she testifies before the Benghazi Committee next month she will be able to move on past the controversy over her emails.

Nice going there, CBC, I mean who would even consider voting for V.P. Biden? He’s only been a part of the most successful administration of the last fifty-plus years. But by all means please do lick the boots of the Clintons, its not like they started the birther bullshit or disparaged the first African American President.

“I like Vice President Biden, but most of the members of the Congressional Black Caucus are already attached irrevocably to Secretary Clinton.” Cleaver said Friday.

The election is more than a year away and this guy can’t wait to start kissing Hillary’s ass. And these same people couldn’t or wouldn’t back President Obama when it mattered the most.

      • September 19, 2015 at 10:46 am

Think about all the incredible policy and advances made by PBO, VP, FLOTUS, Dr. Jill and their teams. And these mopes can’t be bothered to support them wholeheartedly, vocally and without reservation. It sickens me. But they do really just love the hand-holding and currying favor from the Clintons.

“I like Vice President Biden, but most of the members of the Congressional Black Caucus are already attached irrevocably to Secretary Clinton.”

“Irrevocably” what the fuck does that even mean, you asshole. The black guy had to beg for help, but Clinton gets the “irrevocably” treatment. You should be embarrassed to even say something like that.

I hope you do vote for Hillary and I hope she ends up in the Whitehouse. And I can’t wait to watch Bill struggle to keep his dick in his pants, it doesn’t matter anyway, I’m sure you’ll happily clean up any mess that he makes.

      GM everyone.

Wasn’t this the case with Sen Obama as well until he started winning primary races?

It is also not helpful to HRC because she should not feel that she does not have to work for the support of AAs.

Hopefully the CBC can get the sound system to work this year. Every time the President attends a CBC function either the audio system or video system is half-ass operational. You would think that they would do a better job of hosting the President of the United States.
