    I haven’t a clue what’s going on with my screen, but it sure is having a good time bumping me in and out and around!

    BTW, does anyone have any positive reports on installing Windows 10? My computer keeps reminding me that I can get a ‘free’ update if I act soon? What’s the scoop on that?

      Make sure you have a techo friend. Mr 99 has updated his lap top as a trial – and has a few issues – I stay with my W7 & W8 and hide the 10 update

      updated mine last weekend (almost a week to be exact);

      yes I was hesitant at first but here are my few comments from my experience:

      – first thing was to see the “return” of the Start function => I am old school so the Windows 8 I started using earlier this year was not my favorite;

      – don’t start the process if you don’t have a few hours during which your computer will remain out of use => set mine for a time when the automated loading would occur while I was away from the station. took a few hours to load;

      – compared to previous updates, this is fairly easy to use – just make sure that you go through the brief tutorial on how to navigate screens;

      – still getting used to the overly eager Coutrano (similar to Suri) which is often to eager to hold a “conversation” with me;

      – all my files/folders, apps remained exactly where I had saved them so I was able to resume work smoothly;

      – getting used to utilizing the browser “The Edge” was something I am still working on. I have to remind myself about the different was I can search;

      – in summary, go ahead, take the plunge and soon you will not even be thinking about the old operating system;

        Thanks, Linda! Two points stood out for me – one very good, one bad. One, I’m definitely psyched by the fact files/folders were intact, and two, I don’t like machines that want ‘conversation’. To date, I’ve kept myself far from Suri and am sure I’ll feel the same about Coutrano. I’ll keep your experience in mind if I ever get the hours free for downloading.

        At the end of my reminder about a ‘free’ download it said something about maybe being charged for internet usage in downloading process – did that mean anything for you?

        *** *** Also-too: Does anyone know if we will eventually **HAVE TO** switch to Windows 10? [If so, I may as well opt it on their current offer, right?]

      I hope he makes up another story about being “too busy,” and drops out. Or maybe says God spoke to him directly and told him to quit.

      But perhaps I’m too much of a dreamer.

        It is getting old to him Jacqueline. He is ready to move on to something else, but he is trapped because he is the front runner.

        • September 18, 2015 at 9:47 pm

          I think you may be absolutely right. He doesn’t have much of an attention span and I think he’s going to be very bored very soon, especially if it’s costing him money, the only thing he really cares about. He’s luxuriating in all the attention but when the going gets tough, I don’t see him having the interest.

          • September 18, 2015 at 9:52 pm

            While I conceive that his presence is toxic, I would prefer that he remain a few weeks into the race. This way, he will suck up the air and guarantee a weak nominee. His lunatic supporters are likely to abstain from voting for any establishment candidate, thereby assuring a Dem victory in the general elections.

            I know. I am dreaming.

              September 18, 2015 at 10:10 pm

              I agree, NCLB. Trump staying in the race does diminish the other candidates, one of whom we will probably be stuck voting against in 2016.

            • September 18, 2015 at 10:14 pm

              I’m not saying he’s just going to go away or quit soon. He’ll wait until his lead starts to fall to a level where he starts looking like he’s got real competition.

                September 19, 2015 at 12:01 am

                I laugh thinking of how many times since the debate he’s mentioned he had to “stand for three hours.” And also that his daughter was in the audience, “sitting for three hours,” and so she should be on our currency, now, according to him. I swear I wouldn’t put it past him to be “tired” of all the shaking hands (he’s a germaphobe), sitting, standing, allowing others to speak during a debate, having to answer questions of persons “beneath” him at town halls, having to tell Carly she has a beautiful face, etc.

                He has no moral core and plays by no rules, so anything’s possible. No one with an actual mind could read what passes for his.

                • September 19, 2015 at 9:20 am

                  You NAILED it. That’s what I was trying to express but never quite had the words. You’ve captured his idiocy perfectly. His whole reason for being in this race is to express his bigotry to an adoring crowd. He’s done that so maybe he’ll just get back to his cave where he can make his big business deals and fondle his money.

                    And YOU nailed it, with that. No matter how true and horrific your comments were about Trump, I must admit I did laugh at the end about the “fondle his money” part. (Ugh.)

          I think “trapped” might be something that egomaniac never feels. He’s been able to talk himself out of – or buy himself out of – just about everything in life, methinks. Here’s hoping!

    canooook boom.

    Mr Mulcair responded with a sharp criticism of Mr Harper’s handling of the economy, which he said had become overly reliant on an energy sector that was bound to eventually falter.

    “Mr Harper put all of his eggs in one basket,” he said, “and then he dropped the basket.”

    If donald dreck does drop out – cowardice, boredom, lagging in polls, msm turning against him because the rw overlords told them to, take your pick – you can bet your bottom dollar that the rw’ers and their media shills was claim that he was a dem stooge all along (look at his previous librul positions) and hence the wingnut base must turn out in 2016 and take revenge over the democrats. That’ll be their spin, just watch.

    PA residents, you have “kept a secret” – I just saw a clip of the democratic mayor of Braddock, PA and he is running for senate.

    How competitive is the dem primary race for senate in PA?

    in our state, the establishment dems are endorsing the former governor in the primary!

    I thought that this was very unwise for the party to endorse one dem over another (younger and upcoming);

    then I remembered these same folks vigorously blocked our efforts to introduce then-Senator Obama to the dems and other potential voters in 2007-2008.

    we ended up building our own parallel structure from scratch to support PBO.

    Now the same people are demanding for the network of voters with some level of entitlement.

      These Republicans claim to love children of all colors, but only when they are in the womb, when they are born they don’t give a dam about them. The 14 year would be a hero to the right wing racists media if he was white.

    Never watch Bill Maher, but decided to, tonight. Chris Matthews was really poking that loser Pataki – right in the neck. Loved it.

    • 104 jacquelineoboomer
      September 19, 2015 at 1:53 am

      And then Bill Maher goes on to blame Ahmed Mohamed because of some law of probabilities Maher thought up, and Mark Cuban says he heard “second hand” that Ahmed didn’t speak up for himself … otherwise, he wouldn’t have been arrested … and his sister was coaching him on the phone when he called him … and look at all the publicity Ahmed got.

      They expect a FOURTEEN-YEAR-OLD victim to do what and say what and agree to be profiled because of what?????

      And now I remember why I never watch Maher’s show, and why I will try not to make that mistake again in the near future.

      And sometimes I just hate people.

      (But not any of you sweethearts here on TOD! Love ya. Goodnight.)

      • September 19, 2015 at 2:10 am

        I turned it off. Not the first time Maher has sounded like a rwnj where Muslims are concerned; sure it won’t be the last time…

          he’s a xenophobe and annoying at times. Although he does open my eyes to how blind someone can be. Fact also that Bill Maher allows anyone on the show including the likes of Fiorina on the show bothers me.
