Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers for my son … he had his surgery today and is doing very well. The surgeon said it went great. Within a few hours after the operation, my son was sending out a photo of himself sitting up in bed, big happy smile on his face, finger at the ready to push, with the caption, “Pain med button” !!! Of course, he’s still numb in some areas surrounding the procedure, so when that wears off, he’ll be in a bunch more discomfort (hence, the button!), but he’ll get through that, too, I’m sure. We were even laughing tonight about some of the stuff he mentioned.
Laughter truly is the best medicine, in case any of you were still wondering!

Just yesterday, my daughter unit was telling me how thrilled her team were to see a young man diagnosed with cancer last year, got treated in her hospital, got completely cured and was on a thank you visit to her hospital yesterday. Just yesterday, my daughter unit was telling me how thrilled her team were to see a young man diagnosed with cancer last year, got treated in her hospital, got completely cured and was on a thank you visit to her hospital yesterday. Best wishes to your son and may his sense of well being match his sense of humor.
