Except Joe Biden, ho is not officially a candidate, yet.

MightyPamela on September 11, 2015 at 11:32 am
BTW, we all know, even tho the ‘candidates’ (all of whom are totally unqualified) do not: they are all running against PBO, such is the magnitude of his Presidency, such is the undeniable fact that the bar for POTUS (male or female) will never be as low as it was before he took the office and showed them all what it means to be President of the United States. Small wonder they are all flustered and bewildered at this stage. They still think it’s a game, PBO has shown the entire world it certainly is not. Back in a bit with exciting news on the new moon/solar eclipse tomorrow.

Congratulations Anjo on First!!! Listening to this interview is so soul wrenching. What a beloved man VPOTUS is. Colbert handled it beautifully.

Have a beautiful day everyone. Thoughts for all the families of 9/11.

Love VP Biden. The strength and compassion in him is a sight to behold. I think it really is telling when a person can experience the tragedy that VP Biden has and remain positive and caring of others. I so admire him.

Balling my eyes out watching VP Joe with Colbert. Love Him So Much!!!!!

He would be the absolute most authentic person in this Presidential race. I feel so conflicted. Part of me wants us to leave him alone and let him have his grieving period and the rest of me feels that this country is in such need a person like him with such great character.

Sorry. Eff de Blasio. We have a couple of candidates. Just because he likes one of them doesn’t mean the field is “closed”.

      • September 11, 2015 at 12:41 pm

THIS. The gall of someone, anyone, a Democrat, saying this given the circumstances is just offensive in the extreme.

        • 27 57andfemale
          September 11, 2015 at 12:53 pm

I think O’Malley should be more viable. He’s pretty good. But seriously, de Blasio – you like Bernie so the entire Democratic should be done because you’re done? And exactly what is Bernie going to be able to do for you? I’ve been thinking the last few days: imagine Bernie negotiating a deal with the ME. Do you think anyone would be afraid of him enough to actually give in on anything? You need a little strength and fear to move things forward. NOT the only thing, but you need someone who is willing to make difficult choices. PBO did with bin Laden. It was bloodless with Syrian chemical weapons and bloodless with Iran. You need to be able to project your willingness to meet ANY challenge. Bernie has decided on his narrow list of issues and he’s done. Outrageous. I may agree with most of his positions, but he is not Presidential. Even the reporters who follow him on the campaign trail say that yes, he is grumpy and angry all the time. That’s why Biden touched me so deeply last night: I miss “heart” from this entire field for 2016. And yet, if Joe had to make a hard choice, he would do it.

          • September 11, 2015 at 1:01 pm

For all Bernie’s talk about economics, he has stated that he believes trade is tantamount to treason, so you can bet on our economy tanking if he were in charge, among other things.

              September 11, 2015 at 1:04 pm

That’s when I realized that he really is a loon. No trade deals. Never. WTF?!?!?! What effing planet does he live on? And it bothers me that he never tried to make the Democratic party better – if he couldn’t have his way instantly, he wasn'[t going to place in the sandbox. Until he wanted to be POTUS.

                September 11, 2015 at 1:34 pm

There is a lot of magical thinking in his campaign. He seems to think he can get a Congress to go along with him. HOW?! He is incredibly impractical.

                  September 11, 2015 at 1:39 pm

You call it “magical thinking”. I call it loony. He won’t bash Hillary but he is constantly bashing and lying about PBO. He lives in a little fantasy world. He’s getting on my last nerve.

      • September 11, 2015 at 12:57 pm

    • 39 57andfemale
      September 11, 2015 at 12:56 pm

He wants it, I think. He is such a good man that he wants to be sure he could do it justice with all of his heart and soul. The great soul and heart of this man.

Contrast with Trump, who is willfully ignorant of complexity or hard work or commitment. His message that is cowing so many Americans: it’s “easy”. That’s what these idiots want to hear.

    • 40 vcprezofan2
      September 11, 2015 at 1:08 pm

Given all that he *has* done and *seen done* in the years of this presidency, I think it would be hard for VP Joe to step aside and leave the nation in the hands of the incompetents who have expressed presidential interest to date. To my mind the current field has both practical incompetence (Republicans mostly, with one Dem) and emotional incompetence (Dems). I’m thinking …hoping.. pride of accomplishment plus love of country and people will weigh heavily on the scale of VP Joe’s decision.

          September 11, 2015 at 2:35 pm

Not sure if it’s because we want it so badly, Meta, but I read several favorable allusions form last night. 😉 I also thought VP Joe looked, and has been looking, much better than he had in the immediate aftermath of Beau’s passing. While I know that mourning is an up and down scenario, I do read him as being in an ‘improved’ space. I read Dr. Jill as being in an improving space as well, during her recent trip to the community college with PBO. Their demeanor just seemed not as weighed down to me /shrugging/ and not simply because I want it to be. Anyhoo, fingers crossed.

It’s hard to go on Peoples View anymore considering there are so many die hard Clinton fans on there. I’ve already been accused of being a Bernie supporter which pissed me off. I also am tired of some of the people on there saying how they don’t want Biden to run and acting like republicans when it comes to foreign policy.

Sorry if i ruffle some feathers here considering that I was once a huge fan of that site. 😦

  35. September 11, 2015 at 1:32 pm

That VP Biden is being so thoughtful in his consideration of whether to run is a good reason that, if he should decide to run, he would be the best candidate.

I suspect that if you were to ask why they are running, most (or all) of the candidates will give an answer that, once you get past the word salad and dissect what they say, is selfish in nature or a matter of ego. And willingness to give 110 percent to the job? Just the fact that most of them aren’t taking the time to know or understand what is going on, not just domestically (which they aren’t doing that well either), but across the globe, and that they don’t give the impression that they will work for *all* of *us*, but that their motive is self-serving disqualifies the lot. Given some of the outlandish claims and promises they are making, they don’t even understand the role of the executive branch of government.

I too would understand if he decides not to run. But if he decides to run, we can be confident that he is all in and for all the right reasons.

Not fun to look into a hole going straight down into your dog. My vet couldn’t believe it didn’t go all the way through. Boys will be boys, and he’s well on the mend. Thanks for asking.
