Except Joe Biden, ho is not officially a candidate, yet.
MightyPamela on September 11, 2015 at 11:32 am
BTW, we all know, even tho the ‘candidates’ (all of whom are totally unqualified) do not: they are all running against PBO, such is the magnitude of his Presidency, such is the undeniable fact that the bar for POTUS (male or female) will never be as low as it was before he took the office and showed them all what it means to be President of the United States. Small wonder they are all flustered and bewildered at this stage. They still think it’s a game, PBO has shown the entire world it certainly is not. Back in a bit with exciting news on the new moon/solar eclipse tomorrow.
Love VP Biden. The strength and compassion in him is a sight to behold. I think it really is telling when a person can experience the tragedy that VP Biden has and remain positive and caring of others. I so admire him.
Balling my eyes out watching VP Joe with Colbert. Love Him So Much!!!!!
He would be the absolute most authentic person in this Presidential race. I feel so conflicted. Part of me wants us to leave him alone and let him have his grieving period and the rest of me feels that this country is in such need a person like him with such great character.
I think O’Malley should be more viable. He’s pretty good. But seriously, de Blasio – you like Bernie so the entire Democratic should be done because you’re done? And exactly what is Bernie going to be able to do for you? I’ve been thinking the last few days: imagine Bernie negotiating a deal with the ME. Do you think anyone would be afraid of him enough to actually give in on anything? You need a little strength and fear to move things forward. NOT the only thing, but you need someone who is willing to make difficult choices. PBO did with bin Laden. It was bloodless with Syrian chemical weapons and bloodless with Iran. You need to be able to project your willingness to meet ANY challenge. Bernie has decided on his narrow list of issues and he’s done. Outrageous. I may agree with most of his positions, but he is not Presidential. Even the reporters who follow him on the campaign trail say that yes, he is grumpy and angry all the time. That’s why Biden touched me so deeply last night: I miss “heart” from this entire field for 2016. And yet, if Joe had to make a hard choice, he would do it.
For all Bernie’s talk about economics, he has stated that he believes trade is tantamount to treason, so you can bet on our economy tanking if he were in charge, among other things.
That’s when I realized that he really is a loon. No trade deals. Never. WTF?!?!?! What effing planet does he live on? And it bothers me that he never tried to make the Democratic party better – if he couldn’t have his way instantly, he wasn'[t going to place in the sandbox. Until he wanted to be POTUS.
You call it “magical thinking”. I call it loony. He won’t bash Hillary but he is constantly bashing and lying about PBO. He lives in a little fantasy world. He’s getting on my last nerve.
He wants it, I think. He is such a good man that he wants to be sure he could do it justice with all of his heart and soul. The great soul and heart of this man.
Contrast with Trump, who is willfully ignorant of complexity or hard work or commitment. His message that is cowing so many Americans: it’s “easy”. That’s what these idiots want to hear.
Given all that he *has* done and *seen done* in the years of this presidency, I think it would be hard for VP Joe to step aside and leave the nation in the hands of the incompetents who have expressed presidential interest to date. To my mind the current field has both practical incompetence (Republicans mostly, with one Dem) and emotional incompetence (Dems). I’m thinking …hoping.. pride of accomplishment plus love of country and people will weigh heavily on the scale of VP Joe’s decision.
Not sure if it’s because we want it so badly, Meta, but I read several favorable allusions form last night. 😉 I also thought VP Joe looked, and has been looking, much better than he had in the immediate aftermath of Beau’s passing. While I know that mourning is an up and down scenario, I do read him as being in an ‘improved’ space. I read Dr. Jill as being in an improving space as well, during her recent trip to the community college with PBO. Their demeanor just seemed not as weighed down to me /shrugging/ and not simply because I want it to be. Anyhoo, fingers crossed.

Hello TOD.
Beautiful. Sunny. Blue Sky.
Thanks TOD for all you do. Awesome posts.
Congrats Anjo for your Au ⭐
Congrats to Gold ⭐ winners, 3 posts back.
It’s hard to go on Peoples View anymore considering there are so many die hard Clinton fans on there. I’ve already been accused of being a Bernie supporter which pissed me off. I also am tired of some of the people on there saying how they don’t want Biden to run and acting like republicans when it comes to foreign policy.
Sorry if i ruffle some feathers here considering that I was once a huge fan of that site. 😦
That’s a good number. I think they had 150 committed to the deal originally. There are 188 Dems in the House. I don’t know if they all voted, but that is an astounding whip count from Pelosi.
In the Chicago area a DINO congressman voted against the deal. And MAJOR Jewish donor who helped get this guy elected very publicly announced that he was pulling support and will support a Democratic challenger.
One thing that has happened in this fight: progressive Jewish groups found their voice, increased their numbers and increased their power.
That VP Biden is being so thoughtful in his consideration of whether to run is a good reason that, if he should decide to run, he would be the best candidate.
I suspect that if you were to ask why they are running, most (or all) of the candidates will give an answer that, once you get past the word salad and dissect what they say, is selfish in nature or a matter of ego. And willingness to give 110 percent to the job? Just the fact that most of them aren’t taking the time to know or understand what is going on, not just domestically (which they aren’t doing that well either), but across the globe, and that they don’t give the impression that they will work for *all* of *us*, but that their motive is self-serving disqualifies the lot. Given some of the outlandish claims and promises they are making, they don’t even understand the role of the executive branch of government.
I too would understand if he decides not to run. But if he decides to run, we can be confident that he is all in and for all the right reasons.
Thanks, GGail! Next few days will be important, but he’s doing okay. Looks like a little prizefighter with his black eye (he’s a white dog). he’s able to eat, and I’m not supposed to poke around in his mouth because I can open up the fragile healing. He is an amazingly strong spirit, my Kasper.
More love and hugs to Kasper, 57, wishing him the speediest of recoveries. Meanwhile, Danny’s limping, don’t know what he did to his paw and I can’t see anything – vet tomorrow, then.
57andfemale. I didn’t catch what happened to your puppy, but much healing for him and keep giving him that soup. LOL. He will never go back to normal food again. They do know how to whine. (((hugs))) for Kasper. and you for all your good care.
He and his brother got into a scuffle and there was an inch-long puncture in his lip and he has a black eye. (He only weighs 17 pounds). Not fun to look into a hole going straight down into your dog. My vet couldn’t believe it didn’t go all the way through. Boys will be boys, and he’s well on the mend. Thanks for asking. How are you doing, my friend? Wish I could deliver a bowl of homemade soup to you right now.
Good morning one and all, its quite rainy here, not your typical Caribbean sunny day, hope everyone’s having a great day
⭐
1st! Congrats Anjo
Have to look at this when I get home, hope he runs

Congratulations Anjo on First!!! Listening to this interview is so soul wrenching. What a beloved man VPOTUS is. Colbert handled it beautifully.
Have a beautiful day everyone. Thoughts for all the families of 9/11.
Thanks a million Nerdy
Hey ma’am, sent you a DM.
You’re welcome, Chips.
Thanks Nerdy for posting this interview.
You’re welcome.

I can’t imagine what it would be like to spend 9 years pretending to be somebody you are not.
Was that a ding against unohoo?
that was a reveal about himself- Colbert- pretending to be a right wing nutter in his previous show all those years (I’m pretty sure).
ah, got it, thx.
no problem amk 🙂
whoa, surprised he said that. what a shame.
so one more impressive candidate is gonna be a problem how.
It certainly isn’t a clown bus. Hey, they’d all fit in a sedan for God’s sake.
egg.sack.lee
He could have very well said given his recent loss, I am sure Joe will consider his priorities and make his own judgement call.
fecking idjit.
Sorry. Eff de Blasio. We have a couple of candidates. Just because he likes one of them doesn’t mean the field is “closed”.
THIS. The gall of someone, anyone, a Democrat, saying this given the circumstances is just offensive in the extreme.
There is a lot of magical thinking in his campaign. He seems to think he can get a Congress to go along with him. HOW?! He is incredibly impractical.
You call it “magical thinking”. I call it loony. He won’t bash Hillary but he is constantly bashing and lying about PBO. He lives in a little fantasy world. He’s getting on my last nerve.
BTW, as John Del Cecato noted on twitter, de Blasio is going around praising Trump, so yeah, he can go eff himself.
I felt like tweeting, ‘Not all voters are as easily impressed as you, DeBlasio’.
Missed it on that one, mr mayor.
Well luckily it’s not up to him!
Our guy.
I hate to drag him into something he doesn’t really want but we need this man as President.
He wants it, I think. He is such a good man that he wants to be sure he could do it justice with all of his heart and soul. The great soul and heart of this man.

Hi, western moon-lover. How’s ya doing?
I’m on your train, vc. This is what I’m hoping will tip the scale as well. I though he was alluding to that last night in his own way.
Not sure if it’s because we want it so badly, Meta, but I read several favorable allusions form last night. 😉 I also thought VP Joe looked, and has been looking, much better than he had in the immediate aftermath of Beau’s passing. We do really need his clarity and purpose.

And this was his 1st instinct on 911?
The GOPers are flocking to this idiot?
Donald Trump is disgusting

Why don’t they want Biden to run. Don’t tell me they’re starting with that Hillary is owed the Presidency chant.
I’m really sorry to hear that. UGH.
This is a story that has gotten a lot of coverage locally for 2 days now.
So the House rejected the Iran Deal but Leader Pelosi states that in fact she had the votes to sustain veto. So, whatever, GOP.
Yup. Get him straight on a few things.

Desperado 😉
how many dem critters voted against it? I see 162 voted for it.

Ok, thanks for breaking it down for me. We have only 188 dems in the house? pathetic.
This is what happens when wackos control the House.
Thx Nena. Amazing how the rethugs always vote in lockstep.
The ‘Fighting’ Dems as one of my siblings calls it 🙂
Because they ran from PBO and continue to run from PBO. Insane. And Dems don’t vote in midterm elections. Doubly insane.
Thank you for posting this NW! I watched live last night and this interview has stayed with me all day today.
serena on a roll. takes 1st set 6-2.

Good Afternoon TODVille!
I read above that POTUS will be meeting the Nut-n-Yahoo! in November. I hope he offers him this
57andfemale, I read about your little doggie and I hope he makes a full recovery real soon {{{puppy hugs}}}
Oh, no! You looked between all the toes to see if there’s a thorn or something? Our poor Danny! Keep us posted.
Kasper is milking this for all he’s worth. Mommy made him homemade organic chicken soup to mix in with his food. The little fraud.
57andfemale. I didn’t catch what happened to your puppy, but much healing for him and keep giving him that soup. LOL. He will never go back to normal food again. They do know how to whine. (((hugs))) for Kasper. and you for all your good care.

Meanwhile in Hungary, camp guards are throwing food at penned in asylum seekers.
Just saw that on TV, may they rot in hell.
If FIDES isn’t descended from the Arrow Cross, they could have fooled me.
The horror we visit upon each other – makes me so sad.

Sarah Palin needs to stop the execution of the English language. She should take up sign language instead.
gud gawd.
NCLB, you made me laugh out loud – you are so correct in your recommendation about SPalin! 😀 😀 😀 😀
I got so confused just trying to find a rhyme or rhythm or even a little smidgen of logic in what she was trying to convey 😯
And she gets away with painting the media as ‘liberal’.
A truly liberal media would ignore her.
3rd set. damn.
she needs to break her. Now.
